True to Ashley's words, Seed Production released a statement the next day. Eugene didn't know where it was, but Sophie sent him some links, and he opened them while accompanying his dad in doing some task in the second floor's kids' corner.
"So, the point is, they said the leak was a malicious attempt by an industry spy—welp, they ran it as dramatically as possible, huh?" Eugene arched his brow. "Are they trying to paint the CEO's side as a traitor to get rid of them more easily?"
"Well...technically, they are traitors...right?"
Ian looked up from the new laptop his son gave him. It was so he could carefully compose a written statement and jot down his testimony—it was a long thirty-something years, after all—but Eugene also felt like his dad needed a separate device for his crafting hobby and studies.
"I mean...doing something that could create loss for the company is traitorous...right?" Ian winced. "I don't understand how people can do that..."
