Chapter 258 - Chapter 258 — Forbidden Ritual: Complete – The Radiance of Revelation! Using the Captains as Filters

Under the moonlit sky, the royal capital was no longer recognizable.

Vast swathes of land had been carved apart by Yuuki's magic, rotating and shifting like the faces of a colossal cube. Enormous stone blocks rose, flew, descended, and locked into new positions at his command. The outer districts of the capital transformed at terrifying speed beneath the control of Game Magic.

Game Magic allowed him to manipulate and reconstruct terrain within a designated range. Within that domain, he could even create structures from pure mana according to his imagination.

Though not classified as underworld magic, Yuuki regarded it as a different kind of mana domain entirely.

If one's mana were vast enough to encompass the world itself…

Mountains could rise with a thought. Rivers could change course.

The world could be rewritten.

Rumble—! Rumble—!

Thunderous crashes echoed across the night.

Before the stunned eyes of the Black Bulls and the bound Magic Knight captains, the entire outer ring of the capital was reshaped.

Ten gigantic circular magic formations—each as large as a district—formed perfect concentric rings around the capital, evenly spaced and aligned.

Whoosh!

Yuuki flashed through the formations, inspecting each one in rapid succession, confirming that every material lay precisely where it should. Satisfied, he tapped the ground lightly—

—and vanished.

"Incredible… Lord Yuuki prepared something on this scale inside the capital itself!"

"And he's using the entire royal city as the ritual's core…"

"I've never seen a formation like that. It must be ancient. As expected of Lord Yuuki!"

Sally tilted her head back, red pupils gleaming with manic delight.

"Becoming a god? That's way more fun than destroying a kingdom! Heeheehee!"

Compared to her excitement, Fana remained composed, eyes sharp with vigilance. Her sole focus was ensuring that no one interfered with Yuuki's ritual.

Flash.

Yuuki reappeared atop the towering Kabbalah Tree of Life.

"Rise."

Boom—!

The buried roots of the World Tree magic responded. Like living serpents, they surged underground, spreading outward at breakneck speed, linking the ten massive magic circles into one connected network.

"It begins," Yuuki murmured, gazing down at the capital below.

Everything he had done until now led to this moment.

Even after countless calculations and simulations, tension still coiled in his chest.

He inhaled deeply.

Then steadied himself.

The surging mana within him began to compress inward.

Begin.

Clap!

Yuuki brought his hands together sharply, then dropped into a crouch and slammed both palms against the crown of the Life Tree.

In that instant, he poured every ounce of his vast mana into it.

Bzzzz—

The colossal tree trembled violently.

Brilliant emerald light erupted from its trunk and branches, illuminating half the capital like dawn.

His mana surged through the roots and into the ten grand formations.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Ten pillars of light shot skyward simultaneously.

High above, they converged, forming a colossal Kabbalah Tree sigil suspended in the heavens.

Blinding white radiance engulfed the royal district, turning night into day.

Even towns hundreds of kilometers away could see the light rising from the capital.

Yuuki's expression hardened.

With a swift motion, he drew out the ten magic stones he had prepared and flung them into the sky.

Under the formation's influence, the stones transformed into streaks of light and embedded themselves into the ten outermost nodes of the celestial array.

BOOM—

The brilliant white glow began to condense.

All energy converged inward—into the stones.

And then—

Yuuki felt it.

The natural mana permeating the capital—

No.

Far beyond the capital.

All natural mana drifting through heaven and earth began surging toward him.

A crushing pressure formed almost instantly, like the birth of a massive strong magic region.

"The ritual commences!"

Yuuki roared:

"Forbidden Ritual — Complete — Radiance of Revelation!"

The earth shook.

The Kabbalah Tree grew again, towering higher, thicker, more immense than before.

Emerald brilliance radiated outward, saturating the air with dense life force.

CRACK!

The tree's apex pierced upward—

—and connected with the massive sigil in the sky.

In that moment, the Life Tree became a pillar bridging heaven and earth, fusing the aerial formation and the ten ground circles into a single, unified system.

Yuuki stood at its absolute center.

The nexus.

Natural mana, now overwhelmingly dense, found its outlet.

It poured into the formation in a torrential flood.

The pressure was indescribable.

From above and below, immense power crushed inward.

"Captains… it's your turn."

Yuuki's face flushed crimson as he swung his arm sharply.

The thick roots binding the ten captains lashed downward and dragged each of them into the center of a corresponding magic circle.

Even now, they understood—

This was not good.

But no matter how they struggled, the Life Tree's binding force overwhelmed them.

They were forced into place.

And then—

"AAAAAAHHHHH—!!!"

Screams tore through the night.

All ten circles erupted with agonized cries.

Yuuki himself suddenly choked.

Blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.

The pressure intensified.

From the sky and the earth, overwhelming natural mana poured into him.

It felt as if his body would be crushed flat—his soul ripped apart.

"So violent…"

"That former elf leader was a true madman…"

More blood stained his lips.

The ritual's primary function was simple—

To draw in natural mana from across heaven and earth.

The magic stones originally served as substitutes for mana cores in the elf leader's design.

But Yuuki already possessed multiple mana cores.

To him, the stones served another purpose—

Guidance.

Natural mana was a higher-order energy.

Mana Skin at its peak, Mana Zone, Heart Kingdom's runic arrays—each hinted at the same truth.

Natural mana was superior.

But humans could neither fully perceive nor wield it freely.

Even Mana Zone only manipulated natural mana of one's own attribute.

The vast, mixed natural mana of the world remained untouchable.

Until now.

The stones allowed him to draw it in.

But that wasn't enough.

The ritual's true aim was to fuse his multiple mana cores into one unified existence—using natural mana as the binding force.

Yet natural mana was too violent.

It had to be filtered.

And the filters—

were the ten captains.

Only beings of their caliber could endure the raw torrent long enough to temper it.

Within a hundred kilometers, all natural mana had been set in motion.

And it would continue increasing.

There were only two outcomes.

Success.

Or annihilation.

No retreat.

Yuuki's eyes hardened.

Replication Magic — Reverse Replication!

Silver light flashed in his pupils.

His perspective shifted inward.

He entered the realm of his own soul.

There—

Ten differently colored underworld-class mana cores floated irregularly within him:

World Tree.

Permeation.

Fate.

Soul.

Key.

Space.

Light.

Dark.

Dream.

Painting.

Ten circles.

He hesitated only briefly.

His soul differed from ordinary people.

Others possessed distinct mana cores within their souls.

His entire soul was itself a mana core.

Replication Magic did not need to occupy one of the circles.

As for the four elements—

They were powerful.

But not underworld-tier.

He had already made his choice.

Suddenly, he paused at Painting Magic.

Its potential was immense.

But it relied on artistic inspiration—

Something he severely lacked.

Without hesitation, he sealed Painting Magic into Key Magic's storage and retrieved Beast Magic instead.

It was the only magic directly reinforcing the body.

The pressure mounted.

His soul felt ready to explode.

No more delay.

"Forbidden Ritual — Engrave!"

A blazing beam descended from the sky.

Natural mana crashed into him.

His skin split open across his entire body, blood pouring freely.

Ignoring the agony, Yuuki focused inward.

At the center of his soul—

A miniature Kabbalah Tree began to form.

As it solidified, the raging natural mana found its destination, pouring into the diagram.

The pressure eased slightly.

"It's working!"

First—

He placed World Tree at the center.

Buzz—

The soul trembled.

The structure stabilized.

Correct.

Then, without hesitation—

He positioned Fate, Space, and Dream at the upper triad.

Time would have been ideal.

But Time Magic was unattainable.

Dream would suffice.

One by one, the remaining cores filled their assigned nodes.

The Ten Circles completed:

[Fate] — [Space] — [Dream]

——— [Light] — [Dark] ———

———— [World Tree] ————

[Permeation] — [Soul] — [Beast]

————— [Key] —————

BOOM!!!

A thunderous roar erupted—

Not from the sky—

But from within Yuuki's body.

A sacred, ancient aura radiated outward.

His wounds healed instantly—

And then—

Split open again.

Wider.

Deeper.

Blood gushed uncontrollably.

His flesh began to collapse.

The ritual had succeeded—

But his body—

was breaking apart.
