When Owen snapped out of his thoughts, Mivy had already started grilling the meat, while Fiora was boiling water with mushrooms inside.
"Why does that meat smell so good? It's different from the meat I grill." He moved closer to Mivy.
"Before grilling, the meat is brushed with earthnut sauce," Fiora replied.
Owen's eyes sparkled. He loved eating. And he loved it even more when food tasted better.
He stepped closer to Fiora. "Why are you putting mushrooms into boiling water?"
"I'm making mushroom soup by simmering them," Fiora answered openly, hiding nothing.
The beastmen in this tribe usually ate their food without much preparation. At most, they processed it to preserve it, like smoking meat.
Owen was deeply intrigued by Fiora's cooking methods. Even though he didn't know how different it would taste, he asked her detailed questions.
Fiora gladly explained everything.
