[A/N] ==> I couldn't think of better names, comment if you got anything better...
He wanted to ask her what's going on, but suddenly stopped and turned around, looking at a certain direction for a few seconds but didn't say anything.
"Hehehe… you're not simple," the man named as Goingtodie2 sneered. "An Early‑stage Foundation Establishment brat who can actually sense us? Hah."
"I told you, boss," Goingtodie3 chimed in with an ugly grin. "This guy isn't ordinary. He's loaded… spent nearly forty mid‑grade spirit stones at the Treasure Pavilion. I spotted him by chance… hehehe."
GoingtoDie1 chuckled lowly, eyes glinting with greed. "Good work, big brother. I'd love to skin him alive myself, but that pretty face of his is worth money. I'll sell him to some noble's house…"
His words cut off abruptly.
A woman's voice… cold enough to freeze marrow… slipped through the air.
GoingtoDie1 stiffened, whipping around just in time to see the other young man walking toward him… suffocating killing intent rolling off him like a storm.
Su Wen reacted immediately, hand lifting to hold her back… but she had already slipped past him, a step too late for him to intervene.
"You… what did you say?" Du Yue's voice trembled with cold rage. "You dare threaten my husband? You dare lay a single thought on him?"
Her eyes narrowed, the air around her dropping to a suffocating chill.
"I'll make sure none of you walk away from this. You should never have disturbed my Date with my husband."
She stepped toward GoingtoDie1 with a slow, deliberate calm that felt far more terrifying than shouting. Each footfall carried the promise of ruin.
GoingtoDie1 stiffened, stunned by the sudden shift in her aura.
'Five of us… two Peak‑stage cultivators should keep her occupied. Once she's restrained, we'll seize her so‑called husband. After that… hehehe, we will have our fun with her', he thought, confidence twisting into something vicious.
Su Wen, on the other hand, was completely choked by hearing her words. "Husband?... Wait! She is angry because they disturbed our date??"
GoingtoDie1 was about to speak, but suddenly he saw a white flash, and his vision inverted. His final thoughts were: 'Why is everything inversing...?'
Du Yue suddenly slashed towards GoingtoDie1 from afar. The Grade 2 sword intent, merged with Grade 2 Snow Intent, left just a blur before his head separated and fell down while he still had a grin on his face.
Du Yue, like a sword god, descended from the heavens, now looking at GoingtoDie2 with chilled killing intent. When he saw his little brother GoingtoDie1 die in front of him still with a grin on his lifeless face, he lost his reason. He took out his axe and rushed towards Du Yue.
"Y-You dare to kill my little brother..." He couldn't finish, as the next second, he suddenly felt a cold chilling at his waist while Du Yue looked at him with cold eyes as dark as an abyss.
His arms still held the axe in the air, but they didn't move as she punched out towards his face, which completely shattered upon impact. Half of his body fell to the ground while the upper half, with a shattered head, flew back. No blood fell on her, as she didn't want to dirty Su Wen's robes.
GoingtoDie3, who wanted to kill Su Wen quietly, instead froze mid-steps. He saw two of his people die in just two slashes from her sword. Du Yue's eyes fell on him, and his body froze. He wanted to run, but he couldn't move; he noticed everything around him had frozen, including his legs.
Before he could even gather his thoughts, Du Yue's voice cut through the air… soft, trembling, yet laced with a chilling fury.
"You…" Her gaze locked onto the trembling woman before her. "You're the one who brought these filthy scum here to harm my husband."
Each word grew colder, sharper.
"You tried to ruin my date with him… my time with him."
Her voice quivered… not with fear, but with rising murderous intent.
"You noticed my husband first, didn't you?"
A faint smile curled on her lips, sweet and horrifying at once.
"How dare you look at him with those eyes?"
Du Yue took a slow step forward, her presence suffocating.
"That's fine." Her tone turned strangely gentle, almost pitying. "I'll just need to make sure you never look at anyone ever again."
Her fingers tightened on the hilt of her sword as she whispered,
"I'll take your eyes. That way, you'll never see my husband… or anyone… ever again."
She swung her sword and split his head right through his eyes, which were severed cleanly in half. His body collapsed in two pieces, the line of the cut frozen solid, glinting with icy frost.
She turned her gaze to the last two cultivators, who still hadn't fully comprehended what had just happened. Moments ago, they had been thinking about dividing the rewards… but in only a few swift slashes, they were now the only ones left alive.
GoingtoDie4 and GoingtoDie5 immediately pissed themselves when they noticed her killing intent directed at them. Their legs were frozen with snow, just like GoingtoDie3.
In normal circumstances, they would have easily broken free from the constraint, but now they only had one word in their heart: 'Demon!!'
Fear! was the last feeling they had before they met their other party members.
Before they could say anything, Du Yue was already in front of them. She just sliced twice, and they fell down just like cut carrots.
Su Wen just stood there, completely in shock, not believing what was happening in front of his eyes. Five people died with just five sword slashes...
He watched as she approached, her movements calm yet filled with an undeniable authority. Her voice rang out, carrying the commanding elegance of an empress's decree:
"I've cleared the trash, husband. Now we can continue our date in peace. You don't have to worry about them anymore."
She smiled then a soft, radiant curve of her lips under the black cover that seemed to erase the cold, deadly aura from a moment ago.
"Husband?" Su Wen looked at her strangely. 'When did that happen, and why did no one told me yet?'
[A/N] ==> Please give the novel 5 star rating... anything less I will tell Du Yue that you spoke ill of her "husband".
