Before graduating as adults, there is no intimate content. The female lead, as a teacher, remains rational and restrained.

⚠️ Note: This is not a purely sweet story. Early chapters of secret admiration may feel slightly bittersweet. Please read reasonably and understand the characters' identities and growth.

Chapter 1: The Day She Came, the Wind Was Gentle

Seventeen-year-old Jiang Zhixian had never imagined that one day, he would start looking forward to the first chemistry class of the morning, all because of a single person.

—Lin Xian No.1 High School

The September wind carried a hint of chill, but still held the warmth of summer. On the first day of school, the hallways buzzed with voices, and the classrooms were noisy; no one had settled into focus yet.

Class 2-A was as chaotic as ever. Some students shouted while playing ball, others compared their new headphones bought over the summer, and a few rested their heads on the desk catching up on sleep.

Jiang Zhixian belonged to the last group.

He lazily used his school jacket as a pillow, half his face buried in his arm. Earphone cords peeked out from his sleeves, and his eyelids were heavy—he had no intention of paying attention.

Then, a clear voice came from the podium:"Class, quiet down, please."

It wasn't loud, but it was like someone tossing a stone into a lake, instantly calming the rippling waves of noise.

Jiang Zhixian hadn't planned on lifting his head, but the tone was so distinct—clear, almost piercing, yet strangely drawing him in. Reluctantly, he opened his eyes and froze.

—A young female teacher stood at the podium.

She wore a light-colored blouse, sleeves neatly rolled. Her hair fell smoothly, her eyes bright, and she smiled as she wrote her name on the board. The chalk scratched the board with precise, clean movements.

Liu Lingxi.

"I'm your new chemistry teacher," she said softly. "I'll be in charge of your lessons from now on. I hope we can get along well."

A few students whispered: "She looks so young… Did she just graduate?"

The class burst into laughter.

Liu Lingxi didn't get angry; she simply smiled, a light, cheerful sound. "Yes, I just finished university, so I am young. I hope you'll take care of me from now on."

Her eyes sparkled like the sunlight of an early autumn afternoon—warm but not dazzling.

Jiang Zhixian stared, his breath catching slightly.

—

Class continued.

Liu Lingxi wrote formulas on the board. Her handwriting was neat and beautiful, just like her—quiet, restrained, and precise. When she reached a key point, she would glance back to see if everyone understood.

Jiang Zhixian's mind wandered, yet he found himself following every movement of hers. The soft tapping of the chalk against the board made his heart beat faster for some reason.

"Would anyone like to try this problem on the board?" she asked gently.

The class erupted in laughter; no one raised a hand.

She waited a moment, smiling: "Then I'll choose someone myself…"

Her gaze swept across the room. Jiang Zhixian tensed instinctively, feeling as if her eyes had touched him. But she finally pointed to a girl in the front row.

He quietly exhaled, feeling both relieved and slightly disappointed.

—

"Chemistry isn't about rote memorization," she said."It's really a way to understand the world through rules."

She turned and smiled at the class.

His best friend, Lu Shengqi, whispered, "She's so gentle."

Jiang Zhixian heard, but didn't respond. He lowered his head and opened his textbook. When his fingers brushed the well-worn chemistry chart, a strange feeling stirred in his heart.

He wanted to pay attention to her lesson.

—

When the bell rang, the classroom erupted again.

Liu Lingxi packed her materials and looked at the class, smiling gently. "Thank you for cooperating during the first lesson. I know you're under pressure with exams approaching, but I hope I can help you enjoy chemistry. Keep it up."

She left, carrying her materials.

Jiang Zhixian stared at her retreating figure until she completely disappeared around the corridor corner.

The wind blew just right through the window, lifting a few sheets of his draft papers.

He stared at the empty podium, his chest feeling both heavy and warm.

—At that moment, he realized the wind that day was gentler than usual, yet still not as gentle as the look in her eyes.

He didn't know it yet, but a deep secret had already been planted in his heart.

At ten that night, Jiang Zhixian wrote in a pale blue notebook:"Today, I met someone as gentle as the wind."
