At the central palace of Frax, Bishop Savan, who had already become inhuman, stood on the palace's rooftop, looking at the fleet that blotted out the sky. He no longer had the aura of a living person; his once pure white bishop's robe was now stained with blood. His face was twisted, covered in blasphemous symbols and words on his face and exposed arms. His eyes had no whites, his teeth were yellowish-brown, and drool dripped from the corners of his mouth. "They're here… they're here… we are their slaves…"
The sound of orbital artillery striking the energy shield of the dome suddenly ceased, replaced by countless 'crows' of death descending from the 'cloud-like' fleet, pouring out en masse. Behind him was a messy bedroom, in the center of which stood a blasphemous totem made of countless flayed corpses. On the dirty, unkempt bed lay two half-human, half-horses with horseshoe claws. He slowly returned to the bedroom, opened the already rotten door, and with tottering steps, walked past countless demons and fallen traitors. In the hall, a giant, unknown circular ring was being constructed, flashing with strange light. "Just a little more… a little more…"
…Within Frax's atmosphere,
Large numbers of valkyrie transports were making low-altitude incursions. Anti-aircraft guns from traitor bunkers and positions near the landing zone continuously exploded near the aircraft. Several transports that failed to evade crashed directly. Inside Li Feng's aircraft, a large speaker was placed in the center, playing classical music from Li Feng's USB drive: Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" (from "Apocalypse Now").
At this moment, Li Feng was sitting on his helmet, wearing sunglasses, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, positioned at the side door of the valkyrie. He operated the heavy Bolter mounted there, continuously firing downwards.
This feeling was so exhilarating! After so many years of gaming, almost every game had this kind of scene, and now he was actually doing it himself… Suddenly, he noticed a village below, its inhabitants looking up at the aircraft in the sky.
Li Feng turned his gun and started firing at the village below. At this moment, a Soldier shouted, "Major! They are all civilians!"
Li Feng, with the cigarette still in his mouth, turned his head and said,
"Anyone who runs is a traitor! Anyone standing still is a well-trained traitor! Hahahahaha!"
As Li Feng's rain of bolter rounds fell on the village, the villagers were torn apart by bolter rounds. A planet completely occupied by Chaos for a century—where would there be any civilians? They were all traitors! Mercy to the enemy is cruelty to oneself! Li Feng would rather face a court-martial than have his Soldiers killed by so-called "civilians"! If they felt it was unfair, then they should pick up weapons and fight us!
"Sir! Why are you putting your helmet under your butt!"
"An American veteran told me! They did this in Vietnam to prevent their Balls from being shot off by anti-aircraft fire!"
Hearing Li Feng's words, several Soldiers exchanged glances and chuckled… Then they silently took off their helmets and placed them under their butts. Between their boss and their balls, men chose to protect their balls.
At this moment, Li Feng noticed the valkyrie opposite him; its hatch was open. Sister Fides stood by the hatch, looking down at the battlefield below. She noticed Li Feng operating the machine gun and firing, a smile appearing under her faceplate. He seemed to be fine… She lifted her faceplate.
Fides noticed that with the intense shelling and hail of bullets outside, he probably wouldn't hear her if she shouted something loudly.
So, Fides gathered her courage and shouted towards Li Feng's aircraft:
"Li Feng! I declare (love) you! In my heart, my love for you is second only to the Holy Emperor!" (A very Warhammer-esque confession)
At this moment, Li Feng noticed Fides shouting something from the opposite side, so he shouted back, "What did you say! I can't hear you! Who did you say you chose?"
Fides, however, heard Li Feng's reply and shouted again, "Li Feng! I declare you!"
Li Feng kept hearing Fides asking who she should choose… It seemed she mentioned his name again. Was she choosing him for some mission? He should ask for clarification. "Who wants to choose Li Feng!"
"Fides!"
While the two of them were in the armed transport, in the sky above trenches and bunkers, against a backdrop of intense shelling and flying bullets, communicating in a one-sided manner… On the ground… one of the villagers in that village gradually shed his disguise, transforming into a Chaos Space Marines in power armor painted in sea blue, silver, and emerald green. In a room filled with mysterious runes, he found a very old wooden box.
From the box, he took out an Ancient Terra-era man-portable anti-aircraft missile, the FIM-92F Stinger improved model! He aimed the targeting reticle at the valkyrie transport that had just been spitting fire at him. The missile flew out of the launcher, with 2K infrared all-aspect guidance, chasing Li Feng's aircraft. At this moment, the valkyrie transport showed no reaction; this aircraft surprisingly had no warning radar!
Finally, Li Feng visually spotted the missile's tail flame chasing the aircraft from behind and immediately shouted to the cockpit:
"Anti-aircraft missile! Deploy flares quickly!"
The pilot shouted back, "What are flares!?"
"Ah, this…"
Li Feng's expression gradually broke into a hearty smile, the taste of iced red tea lingering on his tongue… "Man! What Can I Say? Li Feng out!"
A massive explosion occurred on Li Feng's aircraft; the rear engine spewed black smoke and flames, plummeting to the ground. Seeing this, Fides couldn't believe her eyes; her heart felt shattered. She sank powerlessly to her knees by the hatch. The Battle Sisters inside the cabin also saw this scene and all lowered their heads. Fides clutched her chest; she still had so many things she hadn't told him… So many things she hadn't done with Li Feng… If only she had been with him these past few days, not so stubborn… not ignored him… but stayed with him every day as usual… then he wouldn't have gotten on that aircraft, would he? Warp Sister S sang: "If only we hadn't been so stubborn then. Now, there wouldn't be so much regret…"
Fides lowered her head, looking at the last gift Li Feng had given her… that exquisite power dagger. A tear fell onto the beautiful scabbard. When she looked up again, her eyes, filled with rage, were still streaming with tears. She vowed to use the head of Bishop Savan, the culprit, to honor her beloved. The traitor must pay the price for his betrayal and for her love!
