Sarradin roared, his eyes erupting with blazing psychic light. His will was so strong that even the forces of Chaos found him difficult to deal with; he almost broke free from their control!
However, the combined power of the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods was too immense. They ultimately decided to sacrifice a portion of their energy to completely burn out Sarradin's brain nerves.
Blazing energy burned like hellfire deep within Sarradin's consciousness. His body suddenly shook, and his psychic barrier instantly collapsed.
Sarradin's consciousness was completely severed. His body swayed, then finally stood upright, but his eyes were vacant, as if he had become a soulless automaton.
"And now, he and they belong to us." Tzeentch's voice echoed in the air.
After Sarradin was controlled, his warblade suddenly swung up, cutting towards the nearby Dark Angels with incredible speed.
His sons, the elite Legion known as the Janissaries, immediately fell into chaos.
"Protect Father!" a Janissaries Soldier shouted, but then immediately decapitated a Space Wolves.
Under the combined power of the c'tan shard and the Four Chaos Gods, more Janissaries Soldiers were mentally controlled, beginning to kill each other or fire upon other Imperial Legions, and the Imperial front line further collapsed.
Lion and Russ witnessed all of this from a distance. Lion's expression was grim, his teeth clenched. He waved for the Dark Angels to withdraw from the dangerous area, while roaring:
"Gaius! Quick! Find a way to suppress this chaos, or we will be facing a triple enemy!"
Russ, on the other hand, was even more furious. He looked up in Sarradin's direction, roaring as he drew his power axe: "Let me get close to him! Whatever that damn thing is! It won't take my brother!"
Sarradin's fall provided a huge boost to the Xenos Race and Chaos Forces. The mental control of the c'tan shard combined with Chaos interference plunged the entire battlefield into chaotic melee.
Friendly fire between the First Legion, the Space Wolves Legion, the Eleventh Legion, and the Janissaries Legion intertwined, plunging the battlefield into a chaos more terrifying than any enemy.
Under the combined control of the tide of Chaos and the c'tan shard, Sarradin became a ruthless killing machine. His eyes, once filled with majesty and benevolence, were now replaced by hollow, deathly grey.
His scimitar carved blazing trajectories across the battlefield, cutting down countless Soldiers who tried to approach.
Lion ElJonson led his Dark Angels quickly to the heart of the chaos. His gaze locked onto his brother, Sarradin, once the calm and majestic Warmaster, now a controlled automaton.
"Everyone, cover me!" Lion ordered loudly. His Lion Guard warriors immediately formed a defensive circle, attempting to suppress the rampaging Janissaries Soldiers. However, Sarradin's power was too great; his offensive was like a hurricane, unstoppable by anyone.
Lion drew his warblade, a lion sword inscribed with ancient runes, its light blazing like the scorching sun. He took a deep breath and rushed towards Sarradin.
"Sarradin! Second Brother! I am Lion! Your brother! Wake up!"
His voice pierced the clamor of the battlefield, striking directly at Sarradin's mind, which was shrouded by Chaos.
However, Sarradin showed no reaction. He suddenly turned, gripping his warblade with both hands, and swung at Lion with incredible speed.
The strike was filled with destructive power, carrying the twisted psychic energy of Chaos, making the surrounding air tremble.
Lion quickly parried, but the immense impact drove his legs into the ground. His arms tingled from the vibration, but he did not retreat.
"I won't kill you, brother!" Lion growled.
Sarradin said nothing, the deathly grey light in his eyes growing more intense.
He swung his warblade again, each strike aimed directly at Lion's vital points. Lion parried and dodged, his movements as precise and elegant as ever, but he could not deny that each of Sarradin's blows was trying to kill him.
"Father! He is no longer the brother you knew!" a Lion Guard warrior shouted anxiously through the comms channel. "Father, you must strike to kill!"
Lion's face darkened. He clearly understood his predicament.
If he didn't fight back, he might die at the hands of his brother; but if he did fight back, he might personally kill Sarradin.
"I won't give up on him." Lion gritted his teeth, then suddenly leaped into the air, attempting to use the height advantage to force Sarradin to retreat.
Sarradin, however, raised his left hand, and a surge of Chaos psychic energy erupted, knocking Lion to the ground. He charged forward mercilessly, plunging his warblade towards Lion's chest.
Lion rolled away at the last moment, but Sarradin's warblade still grazed his shoulder plate, leaving a deep gash. Blood welled from the wound, dripping onto the dust of the battlefield.
"Sarradin!" Lion roared again, his voice filled with pain and anger. "Do you remember the oath we swore before Father? We are brothers! Wake up!"
Sarradin's steps paused for a fleeting moment, and a flicker of struggle seemed to pass through his deathly grey eyes. However, this momentary pause was quickly swallowed by the will of Chaos. He roared, swung his warblade, and launched another fierce assault.
Lion gritted his teeth and engaged him, holding back his strength, but Sarradin's every strike aimed for vital points, showing no mercy. The intensity of the battle forced the surrounding Dark Angels and Janissaries Soldiers to retreat.
The trajectory of their clash almost became a dance, but this dance was filled with killing intent and sorrow.
Lion's blade struck Sarradin's armor several times, leaving deep cracks. However, each time he precisely avoided lethal areas.
