Chapter 39 - Medrus Miro vs The Spirit King 1

While Michael turned on Zylus, causing panic, Medrus himself had also been suffering a consequence, because he had finally been found, since infiltrating the Spirit Realm.

"We finally caught up to you," A Spirit said, "After your invasion into our realm."

Medrus smiled. He took out his own Demonic Katana. Each of the ten orders from the Spirit Realm surrounded him, all of them, the ten strongest, excluding the Spirit King.

"You think you can kill me?" Medrus calmly asked, "Well, think again."

Each spirit had a true human form, none that shone with bright light, but they could personally switch into that form at will. Unlike Victoria, each of the ten orders truly had a physical human self.

And now, all ten orders circled Medrus, who was once considered the strongest by the Gods that inhabited the Dream Realm.

Medrus looked up into the air, and a smile widened on his face. They were all in an empty cave with one light that shone through fire and wood, a fireplace.

Medrus smiled as the ten orders stood firm, calmly centred towards their opponent, Medrus Miro. Even through the ten orders' calm expressions, they sensed his overwhelming malice, which was ready to reveal itself at any moment.

One of those ten orders was combat freaks; they knew nothing but hard, cold fists. Even if the others tried stopping him, he would always manage to run headfirst.

That was the Ninth order: The Fist of Nothing

Ninth: His punches can wipe out entire buildings, and he's able to adapt to any fighting combo by suffering through those blows.

Each of the other ten orders watched as the ninth rushed towards Medrus, stretching his fist back.

Medrus cut through him entirely, without giving them time to react.

"Damn you!" Another charged straight towards him, one who was a good friend of the ninth.

That was the tenth order: Unprecedented Pegasus

Each of them watched as the tenth stepped forward, travelling towards Medrus at a speed that far exceeded light. This seemed quick, but to Medrus, it was a childish movement on display, because he's able to go double that.

SWIFT!

"You guys are the ten orders?" Medrus grinned, making the tenth perish into nothingness. "Well, close the lights. Because this cave is going to become your cocoon."

Soon, two more jumped at him, each of them packed a punch, but not enough to bring any suffering towards Medrus, a man graced by the Dream Realm itself.

As they continued fighting, it became more apparent that Medrus was almost unbeatable. Unbeatable through not simply sheer strength, but also speed.

In truth, this existed since his birth… It was called, 'Sleipnir's Divine Forgiveness.'

In Norse mythology, Sleipnir is Odin's eight-legged horse, considered the fastest of all steeds. It can travel across land, sea, air, and even to the realm of the dead. And that same creature gave its blessings towards Medrus.

Because of that blessing, it makes Medrus always maintain double his opponent's speed. Even if somebody were to far surpass scientific boundaries, the world will always adjust to making Medrus have double that.

Now two of the ten orders have vanished, but there were still eight more. Medrus continued to fight off the other two who rushed in quickly.

The Eight Order: The Sword's Will

The Seventh Order: The Katana's Pierce

The eight can fully infuse himself with his sword, enabling him to be granted every masterful sword technique that would give him an advantage against his opponent.

The seventh can sharpen his katana, allowing him to cut any object. It also allows the seventh to use a world-slashing technique that can ultimately rid the world of existence. But since the gods above always have a keen eye on what's below, he's never truly able to pull it off.

Bam! Bam!

In two smooth moves, Medrus removed another two of the ten orders from the face of the planet, smiling the entire time.

"Come on," Medrus added, "You guys found me for what? Just to be another one of my victims. You should've just continued to allow me inside the Spirit Realm; all I wanted to do was to torture the king."

As he said those words, another two rushed towards him. The other six hesitated to go any further. For the first time since surrounding him, doubt crept into their expressions.

Now, two more wanted to attack him again. The two rushing him were the sixth and the fifth; their nerves struck through Medrus's petty words. Medrus waved his hand, in a motion that basically said, 'You can never defeat me.'

The Sixth Order: The newest to join their ranks since Medrus killed the original Sixth. This one didn't have anything special, except for the fact that he's able to cut out oxygen from his opponent.

The Sixth's Title: The Accursed Breath

The Fifth Order: He's a dancer, or to be exact, he makes other people suffer through enjoyment. Controlling their positive emotions to bring about their death through that potential.

The Fifth's Title: The Sovereign of Entertainment

The Demonic Katana in Medrus's hand let out a low hum, as if the wind itself had begun to pray.

"This is another one of my worldly abilities," Medrus grinned, "Tengu's Verdict."

A tengu is a legendary being from Japanese mythology, best known as a supernatural mountain-dwelling yokai associated with wind, martial skill, and judgment. Over time, tengu shifted from being viewed as dangerous demons to powerful, semi-divine guardians and teachers.

This absolute divine blessing allows him to erase powers from anybody who cheated, anyone who stole that power, or if it was power brought upon from the gods or realms. Medrus can cut that power off, which was why he was considered the strongest entity amongst every race.

To dumb it down, he's cutting the permission to be strong.

The ten orders themselves were no weaklings; they were also powerful in multiple ways, but that power went to dust when they faced Medrus Miro.

Swift!

Scrooze!

Now only four of the ten orders remained, and Medrus's goal was to kill them all.

"These blessings feel too OP sometimes," Medrus said, "A system and these divine judgments make me unbeatable." He glared upward, laughing.

"We can't." The fourth nervously said, "We can't fight him!"

Medrus looked at the Spirit who screamed in fear, "I will come to you instead," he whispered.

Shankkk!

"Another one bites the dust," Medrus said coolly, killing off one more, "Now three of you are left-"

As he said those exact words, a presence unbidden to him had appeared, and the aura matched his own, which not just him, but also took the remaining three in shock.

"So you decided to come to me instead?"

The person who now stood before them, with an omniscent presence… was the Spirit King.

The stakes have never been more desperate towards Medrus. Now, if he were to kill the Spirit King here, this potential unholy war for good can finally vanish... but Medrus dying here would mean the end of an era, and the beginning of something atrocious. Which was when the thought of a kid crossed his mind.

The Soverign of Uncertainty,

Zylus Elwis.

This was the moment Zylus's story stopped being what anyone expected...

And became something far more devastating than the world was ready for.

A new beginning had just begun, and transcension didn't appear as it once was anymore.

It now meant a sign of danger...
