Chapter 35 - Chapter 34: The Soldiers Were Shocked

On the other side of Planet Namek, the Namekians, Krillin, and Gohan all sensed a violent change in ki.

Although they couldn't witness it with their own eyes, through their respective sensing abilities, they could roughly tell that the battle had already begun.

Vegeta's immense ki was colliding head-on with the terrifying aura of the Universe Emperor, Frieza.

For now, Vegeta clearly held the advantage. His ki was steady and unwavering, while Frieza's aura fluctuated violently, rising and falling in chaos.

At the same time.

In the Other World, on North Kai's Planet.

North Kai was also observing the great battle on Namek alongside Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu—naturally, with Bubbles and Gregory nearby as well.

The reason North Kai knew about the battle was simple: during breaks from guiding everyone's training, he constantly diverted part of his attention to monitor the real-time situation on Namek.

Even so, Vegeta and Frieza clashing at this moment completely exceeded his expectations.

He had originally assumed that after Vegeta awakened Super Saiyan power, he wouldn't immediately seek revenge on Frieza.

Instead, he would stabilize his strength first—a process that should have taken quite some time. North Kai had even thought Goku would arrive on Namek before Vegeta confronted Frieza.

He never imagined it would happen this fast.

"Incredible… truly incredible," Yamcha exclaimed in amazement. "That Vegeta is suppressing Frieza—the Universe Emperor—without even transforming!"

They had already sensed the terrifying power of a Super Saiyan before. And yet now, Vegeta was this strong in his base form, leaving them unimaginably far behind.

It was worth noting that since arriving on North Kai's Planet, they had been undergoing intense training.

In just two days, their strength had increased at an astonishing rate, doubling again and again.

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it," Tien Shinhan said gravely.

"In such a short time, Vegeta has completely transformed. The Saiyan warrior race… it's terrifying."

Although Vegeta had once been Earth's enemy—and theirs—he was now fighting for Namek. More importantly, this battle concerned the safety of Krillin, Gohan, and Bulma.

For that reason alone, they hoped Vegeta would win.

To put it bluntly, after some discussion, they came to a simple conclusion: since Vegeta hadn't attacked the Namekians, Krillin, Gohan, or Bulma so far, there was no reason for him to suddenly turn on them later.

What Vegeta wanted was a Dragon Ball wish. If he truly intended to kill them, Krillin and the others wouldn't have survived this long.

"Judging from the current situation, Frieza doesn't even have the ability to fight back," Piccolo said coldly. "It seems we overestimated his strength."

"Yeah," Yamcha agreed. "At this point, I don't even think Goku needs to go to Namek. If he clashes with Vegeta again, that might actually make things worse…"

With the greatest crisis seemingly resolved, the tension they had felt earlier finally eased.

However, those words made the others pause.

After all, Vegeta had once been defeated by Goku on Earth. Would he really let that go?

And given Goku's personality, wouldn't he actively seek out a fight?

The group continued discussing back and forth.

Unbeknownst to them, North Kai was already sweating profusely.

No one understood Frieza's terror better than he did.

The Frieza they were seeing now was merely Frieza before transformation—nothing more than the surface.

"What is that Vegeta hesitating for?" North Kai muttered anxiously. "If he really has the power to kill Frieza, he should finish it immediately!"

He almost wanted to contact Vegeta directly.

Enemies or not, that was no longer the key issue.

For a long time, Frieza had been a massive thorn in North Kai's side.

Back when Beerus, the God of Destruction, still actively supported Frieza, North Kai had never dared scheme against him.

But Beerus had been asleep for countless years now.

In that time, Frieza's forces had destroyed North Galaxy worlds again and again.

If Vegeta could eliminate Frieza right now, it would be a blessing for the entire North Galaxy—and perhaps even the whole universe.

Hearing North Kai's muttering, the others looked at him in confusion.

Yamcha was the first to speak. "Lord North Kai, what's wrong? Isn't Vegeta already completely suppressing Frieza?"

"Yeah," Tien Shinhan followed up. "Does Frieza really still have some hidden power? From what we can see, it doesn't look like it."

Piccolo remained silent, replaying the earlier battle in his mind. He sensed that North Kai's reaction wasn't unfounded.

Chiaotzu, however, had already turned pale. His psychic sensitivity made him especially affected by North Kai's emotional fluctuations.

"What do you idiots know?!" North Kai snapped.

"Didn't Frieza say it himself? He can transform! And every transformation boosts his power far beyond what he has now!"

Such crucial information—and these simpletons had completely overlooked it.

At North Kai's reminder, their expressions finally shifted.

Still, they couldn't help but think: even if Frieza transformed, could he really surpass the current Vegeta?

Besides, Vegeta could transform into a Super Saiyan too… right?

Back on Planet Namek.

On the battlefield.

Time ticked by, minute after minute.

Vegeta stood with a cold expression, watching in silence.

Suddenly—

A terrifying surge of power erupted.

Frieza burst out from the rubble, his appearance disheveled, his aura twisted and violent.

"Damn you, you Wild Monkey!!" Frieza's hysterical roar echoed across the battlefield.

Vegeta sneered, impatience flashing in his eyes. "Enough with your pointless rage, Frieza. Hurry up and transform."

"Otherwise," he continued coldly, "I don't mind turning you into dust right now—leaving you without even a burial place."

Those words should have pushed Frieza into even greater fury.

Instead, they forced him to calm down.

Anger aside, Frieza still knew how to judge the situation.

Vegeta—this Saiyan—had obtained power from who knew where, and was suppressing him so thoroughly that he couldn't even breathe.

His body was already injured. If he didn't transform, he stood absolutely no chance against Vegeta.

"Since you're so eager to see this king's transformation," Frieza said slowly as he descended to the ground, "then I'll grant your wish."

"You should feel honored," he added coldly. "Your father, King Vegeta, never even had the privilege of seeing my true form before he died."

It had been many years since Frieza last transformed.

After all, aside from his own father and elder brother of the same race, there had never been an enemy who required him to do so.

Vegeta crossed his arms once more, facing Frieza with an overwhelmingly arrogant and invincible stance.

The real battle—

Had only just begun.
