Nathan was halfway through buttoning his shirt when a knock came on the door.
"You know you don't have to knock," he said casually, not looking up.
The door opened. "Hey, baby." The voice made him freeze. Nathan looked up slowly. Natasha stood there with a knowing smirk, arms crossed, eyes roaming his body like she owned the place.
"What are you doing here?" His tone turned cold instantly. She chuckled softly and stepped inside, closing the door behind her.
"You always liked it when I called you baby."
"That was a long time ago," he said flatly. "Stay where you are." Instead, she walked closer.
"You're still angry?" she asked gently.
"Nathan, that was eight years ago. We were kids. Don't I deserve at least a little forgiveness?"
He turned away, tightening the last button on his shirt. "You love mixing things up, Natasha. We were teenagers then. I'm an adult now. And I don't give a damn about you anymore."
