After Tristan left in the evening, Lilian came by and when it was time for her shift, she left again. Riley waited all night for news but no one came, and by midnight, she could not stop thinking of the things Scott displayed earlier.
It was embarrassing and she wished he knew. People might have thought they were still engaged, so she had to put an announcement on her page cancelling the wedding that was supposed to take place tomorrow.
She dozed off in the early hours of the morning and was tapped awake only thirty minutes later.
Riley opened her eyes and looked beside her. It was Tristan. She knew she should be scared of him after what happened yesterday, but instead she felt a strange relief that he came, even though she never expected him.
"Good morning," Tristan said and handed her a cup of coffee. He was dressed in a black t shirt and trousers with matching shoes.
