Chapter 82 - 81

"Poof—!"

The greatsword, burning with the core of a red star, easily pierced through Kara's body.

Time seemed to slow down.

In Tel-Rol's pupils, only the blue figure impaled by the sword remained.

Diana's gasp, Barry's roar, Hal's curse, all became a blurred background sound.

"Hahahaha!"

Steppenwolf let out a grating, mad laugh.

He savored the painful expression on Kara's face, as if admiring a perfect work of art.

Steppenwolf used the greatsword to lift Kara's body; blood gushed from the wound.

Steppenwolf grabbed her by the neck, pulled out the greatsword, and, holding her like a small chicken, tossed her towards Tel-Rol without even looking.

"Catch! This is a gift for you."

Tel-Rol instinctively extended his hands and caught the flying body.

The person in his arms was burning hot, yet her temperature was rapidly fading.

The strong smell of blood filled his nostrils.

Tel-Rol looked down at her.

Kara's face was deathly pale, her golden hair matted to her face with sweat and blood.

The energy from the red sun spectrum still lingered; the huge bloody hole in her chest continued to bleed profusely.

She looked at Tel-Rol, her lips moved, wanting to say something, but she only coughed up a mouthful of blood foam.

"I…"

Tel-Rol felt as if something was blocking his throat.

The previous irritation and frustration that he couldn't break through had all vanished.

He reached out and gently stroked Kara's pale face, wanting to wipe away the bloodstains from the corner of her mouth.

His hand trembled.

A warm drop of liquid slid from the corner of his eye and landed on Kara's face.

Kara looked at him weakly, the light in her eyes slowly fading.

She used her last ounce of strength to squeeze out a few words.

"In the future… don't… always think about… fighting…"

After saying this, her raised hand fell limply.

Her pupils began to dilate.

"No…"

Tel-Rol stared at her blankly, his arms clutching her tighter and tighter.

"Hey! Wake up!"

"I haven't settled accounts with you yet! Don't sleep!"

"I command you! Open your eyes!"

He shouted incoherently, but the person in his arms no longer responded.

On the other side, Steppenwolf had no interest in this pair of "bugs" experiencing life and death.

He weighed the red greatsword and battle-axe in his hands, turned, and strode towards Victor, who was not far away.

The mother box was his goal.

"Stop!"

Diana roared.

She could not accept Kara dying in front of her like this.

This Amazon princess, a warrior with demigod blood, was completely enraged.

She transformed into a golden lightning bolt, the sword of vulcan in her hand piercing directly towards Steppenwolf's back.

Steppenwolf didn't even turn his head, swinging his axe back.

"Clang!"

Diana blocked with her sword, but she was sent flying backward by the immense force, rolling several times on the ground before stopping.

As soon as she looked up, Steppenwolf's figure had already appeared before her.

The red greatsword chopped down directly!

"Clang!"

Diana hastily raised her shield of strength.

The shield blocked the blade, but the immense force slammed her entire body into the ground, and the ground beneath her knees cracked inch by inch.

Steppenwolf twisted his wrist, pressing the greatsword down, rotating the blade, and the hilt violently struck Diana's abdomen.

"Puff!"

Diana spat out a mouthful of blood, her body arching like a shrimp.

Steppenwolf lifted his foot and kicked her in the chest.

"Bang!"

Diana flew out like a broken rag doll, smashing through a broken wall.

Before she could catch her breath, Steppenwolf was there again.

He grabbed Diana's ankle, lifted her up, and then slammed her heavily onto the ground!

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Three consecutive heavy blows, each making the earth tremble.

Diana's armor was already deformed, blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, and her eyes began to lose focus.

"It's over, Amazonian."

Steppenwolf's voice was devoid of emotion.

He raised the battle-axe in his hand, its blade shimmering with scorching energy, aimed at Diana's neck.

Just then.

"Ah—ah—ah—!"

A roar filled with endless grief and anger tore through the sky of the entire battlefield!

The sound waves of this roar transformed into a tangible impact, causing the heavens and earth to change color.

The dim sky, previously covered by Parademons, was enveloped by even deeper, all-consuming dark clouds.

A powerful aura stirred the dark clouds; an inverted vortex appeared above Tel-Rol, destructive purple lightning wildly surging and roaring, and the very heavens trembled at this extreme rage!

Everyone's attention, friend and foe alike, was firmly drawn to the source of this anomaly—Tel-Rol.

He had stood up at some unknown point.

He gently placed the now cold girl in his arms onto a relatively flat and clean patch of ground.

He tidied her golden hair, matted with blood, and with trembling fingers, gently brushed away the dust from her pale cheek.

After doing all this, he slowly turned around.

His eyes were terrifyingly calm, without any ripples.

But everyone knew that beneath that dead silent abyss, a raging inferno, capable of incinerating the entire universe, was vigorously erupting.

His lips moved slightly, muttering to himself.

"Goku…"

"Now… I finally understand how you felt when Krillin died."

"It turns out… it's so… unbearable…"

Scenes of his time with Kara flashed through his mind… "Buzz—!"

Accompanying his final whisper, a terrifying aura, indescribable in words, erupted from Tel-Rol!

It was no longer the previous white-yellow.

But a pure golden-yellow, like the sun!

Boom—!

The golden aura soared into the sky like a tsunami, directly tearing apart the dark clouds above, forming a golden pillar of light that pierced through heaven and earth!

Within this raging golden flame, wisps of blood-red lightning crackled and danced wildly, filled with an aura of destruction and ill omen!

His black hair stood on end, then flickered between black and yellow, finally turning into the most dazzling golden-yellow!

His originally azure pupils had now transformed into emerald green, brimming with murderous intent, an intent to utterly obliterate his enemies!

"Rumble…"

Centered on him, the earth groaned and cracked!

Countless huge rocks were swept up by this aura, floating into the air, only to be instantly crushed and vaporized by that violent energy the next second!

An indescribable, absolute sense of oppression, like an invisible giant mountain, pressed down upon the soul of every living being.

The Parademons army in the distance began to stir and panic; they instinctively wanted to flee, but were so intimidated by the oppressive force that they couldn't move, letting out hissing sounds.

Diana, Barry, Hal… They watched the figure enveloped in golden light in shock; they felt not just power, but a rage that made their very souls tremble.

The disdainful expression on Steppenwolf's face transformed into an expression of unbelievable horror.

He could feel that the Kryptonian's energy was wildly surging!

Tel-Rol slowly raised his head.

Those emerald green eyes locked onto Steppenwolf.

"Minotaur."

"You, are going to die."
