"Rule Number One: No flying inside the house. That means you, Drax."
Drax chuckled, but immediately understood, though he doubted he was going to abide by that.
"Rule Number Two: No threatening to eat the babies. That means you, Zarek."
Zarek looked offended. "I have not threatened them since yesterday. Besides, the little female wet dog looks exactly like you, and I can't eat you!"
Says the same person who wanted to swallow me whole the first day he saw me!
"Rule Number Three," Roxy turned to Kaelen. "No more carrying pups between your teeth. Use your hands. Or the baby carrier I bought you."
Kaelen blushed, looking down at his lap. "I forget there was such magic, sometimes."
"And Rule Number Four," Roxy slammed her hand on the table. "I need a break."
The men looked at her, alarmed.
"A break?" Zarek asked. "You wish to leave?"
"I wish to have my alone time," Roxy corrected. "Without the children and definitely without the noise."
She pointed at the door.
