Chapter 333 - 333: The Ninth Year

"Six Styles: Paper Arts."

"Description: Paper Arts is one of the Six Styles defensive techniques in One Piece. It allows the user to remove all tension from their body, making it light and flexible like paper. This grants extreme mobility and adaptability during combat."

Seeing this reward, Lucien's expression darkened.

He had already devoured countless powerful individuals, and among the abilities he obtained were cultivation methods equivalent to Paper Arts. This confirmed something unpleasant. If he wanted to leave the One Piece world, he might need to remain here for ten, twenty, or even thirty years until his lifespan naturally ended.

At present, he still possessed one Dice throw, a reward granted once every natural year. That meant he had been forced to remain for at least nine full years before synthesizing enough luck.

Although Dice rewards obtained yearly were far superior to those gained monthly, relying purely on luck for Random Crossing remained the safest option.

Lucien's expression shifted repeatedly between calm and irritation. There was no alternative now. He could only stay in this world for nine years.

Since that was unavoidable, he decided to fully consolidate his strength during that time.

Fortunately, the Sea Kings scattered throughout the Pirate World served as excellent nourishment.

Somewhere beyond countless dimensions, it seemed endless worlds existed simultaneously.

Tides surged and receded, waves battered shining beaches, waterfalls flowed upward like reversed rivers, and stars revolved to form vast galaxies. It resembled paradise, a sacred land, perhaps even a miniature universe.

From a godlike perspective, innumerable small worlds revolved around a massive mechanical sphere like galaxies orbiting a core.

Each world differed completely. Some contained endless sunshine and oceans, some overflowed with pleasure and indulgence, others thrived with boundless vitality, while some lay silent and desolate.

"Mission: Hunt down the Darkness. Reward: 100,000 exchange points."

"Reincarnator No. 1678, Lv.4 Zhou Wei."

"Reincarnator No. 1013, Li Chong."

"Reincarnator No. 994, Emma."

"Reincarnator No. 978, Ethan."

"Main God Warning: The above four Reincarnators were eliminated by the same Darkness. Reincarnator No. 911, Sun's Daughter (Nana), Reincarnator No. 921, Light Giant (Hayato), and Reincarnator No. 932, Hero King (Olatayo), proceed immediately to the Pirate World and eliminate the Darkness, a virus threatening the myriad worlds."

"A total of three Reincarnators will execute this mission."

"Mandatory deduction: 50,000 exchange points to purchase a half-price world tracking talisman. Preparation required."

"Countdown begins."

"10."

"9."

"The Main God really shows no mercy. Another forced mission."

Inside a peaceful small world, on a bright sunny beach, a young man wearing loose shorts rose from a lounge chair and stretched lazily. After glancing at the mission notification, he yawned, clearly uninterested.

"Bang Ka Ka."

Metal rang sharply.

Golden armor materialized around his body. Eight well-defined abdominal muscles were exposed across his chest. Golden earrings swayed beside flame-colored hair dancing in the sea breeze. His golden brows were sharp like blades, and his crimson pupils radiated dominance.

Arrogant, proud, and overwhelming.

A king who stood above others.

Reincarnator No. 932, Olatayo.

Titles: Shining King, Hero King, Golden Flash.

In another small world composed entirely of raging flames, heat surged like a miniature sun.

"Hmph. They forcibly deducted fifty thousand exchange points. Did anyone ask for my permission?"

"What Darkness? I'll just split it apart with one strike."

A cold voice echoed.

From within the flames stepped a young girl wearing a JK uniform, her short black hair fluttering as irritation filled her eyes while staring at the screen before her.

Reincarnator No. 911, Nana.

Titles: Apollo, Sun's Daughter, Sin of Arrogance.

"This is troublesome."

"Darkness? First time hearing about it. Is the Main God losing control?"

In yet another world, a casually dressed young man wearing a white shirt, floral beach shorts, and flip-flops casually tossed aside a mountain-sized creature he had been holding. He closed the light screen with obvious boredom.

Reincarnator No. 921, Hayato.

Titles: Light Giant, Ultraman Diga.

"3."

"2."

"1."

The countdown vanished.

At the same instant, all three transformed into particles of light and disappeared.

Pirate World.

Time slipped away like sand between fingers.

Without realizing it, nine years had passed.

During those nine years, Lucien devoted himself entirely to cultivation. Even he no longer knew how powerful he had become.

There had simply been no opponents left capable of comparison.

Within this world, Lucien stood invincible.

Over nine years, his body's endurance increased tremendously. Every cell in his body could now withstand pressure equivalent to two tons. During this period, Lucien even traveled into outer space to train, attempting planetary destruction.

Based on the standards of Earth from his previous life, he still could not completely destroy a planet from the outside. However, attacking a planetary core was an entirely different matter.

Thinking carefully, his so-called useless Golden Finger was far from weak.

It was terrifyingly powerful.

Grand Line, atop a mountain peak on an unknown island.

Lucien stood wearing elastic boxer briefs. His physique remained lean, standing at 1.93 meters with defined six-pack abs. His once purple spiky hair had turned black, making him appear surprisingly ordinary.

His amethyst-colored eyes calmly overlooked the sea below.

Beneath the cliff, Prometheus, Zeus, and Napoleon played noisily.

A light screen opened before him.

The ninth yearly Dice opportunity had arrived. Combined with the previous eight attempts and this final one, he would reach ten throws total.

Everything depended on this moment. Otherwise, he would need to wait another decade.

Throughout the Pirate World, anyone famous or dangerous enough to threaten him had already been slaughtered by Lucien.

Taking a slow breath, he used the annual reward and immediately synthesized one point of luck.

The Dice spun rapidly.

Light flashed.

The miniature aircraft crossed several squares before stopping.

"Random Crossing +1."

"Description: Allows travel to another world at any time. Use cautiously."

Lucien's smile finally appeared.

After nine years, his patience had paid off.

"Prometheus, Zeus, Napoleon, prepare to depart."

Lighting a cigarette, Lucien exhaled a ring of smoke while calling toward the cliff below.

"Yes!"

The three Homies instantly flew upward and merged with him.

Napoleon transformed into a massive sword held in Lucien's left hand. Prometheus became a blazing sun resting above his head, while Zeus gathered into his right hand.

A perfect combat stance.

After the incident during the Fate world, Lucien never entered another world unprepared.

Then suddenly, the light screen flickered.

"Random Crossing failed. Living beings cannot be carried."

The faint smile on Lucien's face disappeared.

His brows tightened.

He had already suspected this outcome. While living Homies might not pass through, he originally believed inanimate treasures could accompany him. Yet failure still irritated him deeply.

Prometheus, Zeus, and Napoleon significantly amplified his combat strength.

They were his creations.

How could he willingly abandon them?

Taking one final drag from his cigarette, Lucien made his decision.

Activating the Soul Fruit ability, the three Homies gradually weakened before dissolving into particles of light.

The split fragments of soul returned to him.

Lucien felt momentary disappointment, but it faded quickly. As long as the Soul Fruit remained, he could recreate Homies endlessly.

"Do you wish to activate Random Crossing?"

The prompt appeared again.

Lucien clicked his tongue.

His Golden Finger was absurdly selective. The T-shirt, beach shorts, flip flops, wolf tooth club, demon mask, Harley motorcycle, and Red Wolf frying pan stored in his space had all been infused with souls and turned into Homies.

Now none of them reacted.

Shameless system.

Just as Lucien prepared to activate Random Crossing, a massive beam of light suddenly descended from space nearly one hundred kilometers away, connecting heaven and earth.

An overwhelming aura spread across most of the planet.

Lucien immediately halted the Crossing.

Something interesting had arrived.
