Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

"Look, Ai-chan! My hands are clean now."

"Not even after washing them," came the flat reply.

"…Ai-chan doesn't love me anymore," Kiana thought, shoulders slumping. She quietly wiped her tears, looking completely heartbroken.

"…Don't… cry. Even if you do, I won't touch you," Ai-chan added uncertainly.

Hearing this, Kiana's tears flowed even faster.

"Waaah! Waaaah!"

"Alright, alright! I'll forgive the captain this time, but next time… Ai-chan will go straight to my elder sister to report you," Ai-chan warned, voice still icy.

"Hehe… I knew Ai-chan was the best for me!"

Kiana stopped crying instantly and sprinted over with a beaming smile to grab Ai-chan's phone.

Ah, this captain… he knew I was faking it, but why couldn't he just ignore it? Ai-chan thought with exasperation. Truly, a girl's tears were devastatingly lethal.

Kiana quickly refocused. She still had 285 crystals to spend and immediately opened the supply interface in the store.

"God bless… I hope I can actually draw something good," she whispered, clasping her hands together tightly.

Normally, a commander had to reach a certain level before drawing supplies. At her current commander level—Level [-]—she wasn't technically qualified. But she still held a glimmer of hope. After all, this was a gift from her elder sister via the Honkai system. Even at Level 2, it wasn't impossible to draw supplies.

Slowly, she opened her eyes.

"It's… not exactly what I expected."

Only three supplies were visible. The friendship supply was useless—no friendship points—so she ignored it. Kiana didn't care; friendship supplies never had anything worthwhile anyway.

The other two were precision supplies for weapons and standard supplies for Valkyrie armor. She thought carefully. At this stage, she only had two sets of melee armor. Kiana, who was used to Moonlight Armor, needed strong armor, not just weapons. Weapons without high initial stars were mostly wasted, whereas armor could grow to the highest SSS Valkyrie rank.

Decision made, she tapped standard supply. A massive treasure box descended from the sky on the screen, radiating dazzling light. Habitually, Kiana covered most of it with her hand, revealing only a small portion—a quirky habit from past gaming sessions.

She judged her luck by the colors she could see. Normally, blue meant ordinary materials or weapons, green for upgraded items, and purple for rare, high-quality drops.

Kiana's exposed section showed no purple, and she inwardly sighed. Looks like she was still "cursed" by her unlucky streak.

She pulled her hand away and saw the two items inside:

An initial [-]-star weapon

A [-]-star material for upgrading the weapon

"The Impulse Sword Seventeen? Not bad," Kiana muttered, pleased. While she didn't get a new Valkyrie, she at least obtained a solid weapon and a piece of crimson armor. She equipped it immediately.

The black tachi with a subtle green tint on the handle glimmered in her hand. She examined it closely.

It didn't boost critical hit rate, but its skill was excellent for early-stage combat. Kiana had relied on this sword in her previous adventures to survive the early game.

Skill:

Consumes 70 SP

Shoots 12 spirit swords, each dealing [-] points of Ice elemental damage

Reduces enemy movement and attack speed by [-]% for [-] seconds

Cooldown: [-] seconds

SP functioned like an energy bar for Valkyries in battle—similar to anger in King of Fighters. Large-scale abilities consumed SP. As Kiana's Valkyrie level increased, so would the SP slot capacity, along with her attack and health stats. Higher armor ratings increased SP and overall strength.

"I can't wait to fight," she whispered, gripping her new sword. The thrill of achievement quests surged through her—she felt the same excitement she had when she first played Honkai.

"Captain, aren't you going to take a break?"

"No! I'm not tired. I'm overflowing with energy!"

Kiana's excitement was palpable. The faster she grew stronger, the sooner she could search for Dragon Ball—and finally regain her masculinity.

She opened her map on the phone, pinpointed the next red dot, and prepared to grind combo achievements to collect crystals. Her goal was clear: draw a healing Valkyrie armor, like Holy Maiden or Yamabuki, which she knew was invaluable for climbing towers.

…Though she wasn't sure if towers existed in this world. That was also a major source of crystals.

"Ai-chan, wait—I just remembered. Can I climb the tower here?"

"Climb the tower? Ai-chan doesn't understand what you mean, Captain."

"Uh… the Endless Abyss? Is that considered a tower?"

"I'm sorry, Captain. The original Honkai tower levels aren't available here. All you can do is fight in this world."

"I see… what about grinding Valkyrie armor fragments?"

"Fragments drop randomly from enemies here, so don't worry, Captain."

Kiana's heart sank slightly. No tower, no massive crystal farming—but at least she could still gather Valkyrie armor fragments. Progress was still possible.

Then she remembered something crucial. She raised her phone urgently.

"Ai-chan! Can Moonlight Armor and Ghost Armor drop fragments too?"

"Yes, Captain."

Kiana froze. In the original game, some S-class armors, like Moonlight Armor, could only be obtained via supply draws—not from enemy drops. If Moonlight Armor fragments could now drop… how could she not be excited? Her favorite long-range powerhouse might finally be farmable in this world.
