Chapter 1 - Beginning

They say God created everything in 7 days. On day 1, God created Light and Darkness and said, "Let there be light," and separated light from darkness, which we know of today as day and night. Is this where purpose begins as well? Some might say yes, as God had a purpose, but is that purpose different from ours? On day 2, God created the Sky and the Waters. On day 3, God made Land and vegetation. On day 4, God made the Sun, the Moon, and the stars. On day 5, God made Sea Creatures and Birds, and he blessed them to multiply. Did they have a purpose? Did God give them purpose? No, god gives them freedom and the ability to multiply; they had to find purpose themselves, and they did. They sustain ecosystems, fish clean waters, and birds spread seeds; both maintain the cycle of life.

But is that all? No, purpose can always be changed, remade or destroyed. Till this day, they do not have something they live for or something they die for.

On day 6, God made Animals and Humans. We can say this is where truly intelligent beings came into existence, beings that were little Gods of this place God created. So what was their purpose? Nothing, the beings are this powerful and yet have no purpose; they were born with nothing, and they died with nothing, but by each generation, the purpose got defined, and it varied from person to person. Some might say it was their family, some might say it was their goal, and some might even say it was revenge they lived for their "purpose," but can we really call this purpose? Something that each of us defined for ourselves?

On the 7th day, God decided to rest and let his creations find purpose.

The world evolved, and Humans started hunting for food. They hunted their "Brothers" and "Sisters", the beings that god created with them, Animals. Humans are so hard to understand. Instead of harmony, they choose destruction. Was that their purpose?

Let's dive deeper. Don't look at everything together, but look at each individual.

One of the Humans was barely 5 years old, named Ethan. Next to the fire, surrounded by tents and humans, they were covered in animal skin, which they called clothing. Ethan was waiting for his parents, who had gone out hunting a few days ago while starving and freezing; the leather clothing and fire weren't enough in the middle of winter, and there was no more food. Everything was covered in snow and fog, which covered the woods. Ehan was close to passing out. He looked at his sister, a little kid wrapped in leather, breathing slowly; she appeared to be sleeping. Something changed. Ehan was still hungry and cold, but this time full of energy; it was as if he had a purpose...

He stood up, took a spear and ran into the forest, crying and using every bit of strength to move his body. Sadly, this is not a fantasy. Soon after he fell in the snow, dying, but still, all he could think about was his sister.

Wouldn't you call this foolishness? He knew he would die, but for his sister to put food in front of her, he sacrificed his life. This is something we call courage these days, but what about animals? If he did find a deer and kill it, what would the deer's kid do? They would have no choice but to be killed by winter. We can't weigh his actions; all we can do is observe, needless to say, his tribe died that winter.

But this is not where Ethan's life ends; we need him. He was the first to find his purpose this early and sacrifice himself without second thought for his purpose. We will never know what made him develop purpose... in this life at least. See you in the next life, Ethan.
