Chapter 2 - Darkest Villain

A year later.

The screen flickered to life in countless homes across the city. The familiar anchor's face, normally calm and reassuring, was now pale with tension.

"Breaking news," she said, voice trembling slightly. "A catastrophic incident has occurred downtown. Reports indicate that a high-rise building has collapsed. Eyewitnesses claim the destruction was caused by none other than the darkest villain, Limitless Void."

Footage immediately played. In the monitor, smoke billowed from the wreckage, flames licked the edges of fallen concrete, and panicked citizens ran through the chaos.

The scene was terrifying.

A silhouette was caught leaping out from the fire and rubbles. Clad in black cloak.

Void!

"Fuck! That bastard again!"

"Please, anyone just kill that devil already!"

Some fed-up citizens shouted their grievances on top of their lungs. Their hatred toward him was real and stacking each time his name appeared.

Unconcerned to their thoughts, Khiel aka "Limitless Void" watched from a rooftop across the street. His black cloak fluttered in the wind. His sharp eyes scanned the streets.

The truth was—This wasn't senseless destruction. This building had been rigged with explosives by the real culprits. Thanks to his Void Sight, he was able to see the real enemies.

This same ability also shoved him deeper into the gutter, making him the most evil villain in the eyes of the people he protected.

Anyway, he was thankful he noticed them in time.

Then he acted fast and the result was in the news.

Limitless Void remained the ultimate villain.

He didn't flinch. He never flinched. The world didn't need heroes who were celebrated. It needed someone who could see the threats they couldn't—the real enemies that hid in plain sight.

As Limitless Void, his crusade against the real threats continued. And will continue until he annihilates them all.

Every shadow could hide a parasite. Every scream could be a trap. Every disaster could be orchestrated by forces that no one else could perceive. And every action he took to stop them made him appear worse than the enemy.

He clenched his fists. A ripple of black energy traced his fingers, like liquid in the night.

"Let them call me a villain," he muttered. "I'll make sure they survive anyway."

From that night forward, Khiel moved unseen, striking creatures and anomalies only he could perceive. Worm-like horrors, humanoid parasites, creatures that twisted reality itself—he hunted them all.

And the world continued to hate him, unaware that the darkest villain "Limitless Void" was the only shield standing between humanity and true annihilation.

Every night, the news would scream his name. Every morning, survivors would unknowingly owe their lives to him.

And Khiel Leonhart—villain, outcast —would keep walking the path that no one else could .

Some wars had no applause. Some victories had no recognition.

And…

Some heroes… had to be hated.

A week later.

It was noon, and the city's streets were bustling with the usual rhythm of life—cars honking, pedestrians hurrying, the faint hum of air conditioners drifting from office buildings.

Then came the screams.

A bus screeched to a halt in the middle of the avenue. The driver had been forced out, and a group of masked individuals stormed aboard, brandishing weapons. Immediately, the passengers froze in fear.

The media was quick to arrive, cameras rolling as the world prepared to witness yet another act of villainy.

But Khiel Leonhart was already watching.

From a shadowed alleyway, he observed the scene with cold precision. The hijackers were loud and violent, but Khiel felt something was… off.

Suddenly, a dark swirling smoke devoured his body. It was his third ability "Void Space".

The next moment, he appeared inside the bus.

His presence was sudden—almost like a ripple of darkness over reality.

The hijackers looked shocked. A person suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Who are you?!" They quickly pointed guns at him.

But seeing his costume,

"Wait. I-Isn't he—"

Before the man could finish his word, came a strike.

With a slash of his Void Sword, black energy cutting like dark liquid. He attacked not the hijacker but some of the passengers. It was followed by screams.

Muddy dark blood burst out from the wound and tainted everything around it.

"It's Limitless Void! The most evil villain in the world!"

Intense panic suddenly erupted. High-pitched screams filled the air. The hijackers stared in disbelief, some dropping their weapons. Civilians cowered, their eyes wide with terror at the "villain" who had suddenly appeared and slaughtered innocent people.

Khiel didn't pause. He continued killing another passenger before vanishing, leaving chaos in his wake.

By the time the heroes arrived, he was gone. Sirens blared. Helicopters circled. The news once again painted a single, horrifying story:

"Darkest Villain "Limitless Void" Strikes Again: Civilians Slain During Hijacking Incident."

No one would know the truth. That the dead were not innocent. That he had saved lives without anyone realizing it.

And Khiel himself? He was already moving through the city's shadows, pursued by heroes who believed him a murderer, hunted by the world that misunderstood him.

He didn't run because he feared capture. He ran because the parasites were still out there, hiding, waiting. And he would find them all—no matter how the world saw him.

Every slash of his Void Sword, every black ripple of energy… It was a war no one else could fight.

And the world would never thank him for it.

The city was still reeling from the midday bus incident. Media outlets replayed the footage of the so-called Darkest Villain in gruesome detail. Civilians whispered in fear, and the Hero Association was under pressure to act.

Silver Glory stood on the balcony of the Hero Association headquarters, her silver hair catching the sunlight like a beacon. She was young—only nineteen—but her reputation already eclipsed most heroes twice her age.

Her record as the number one junior hero was flawless: twenty-five high-risk missions, all completed without a single civilian casualty.

Yet today, her target was unlike anything she had faced.

"Limitless Void," she muttered under her breath with eyes narrowing. "The darkest villain. The most evil person. The one responsible for the city's latest chaos. I'll end his atrocities myself," her eyes glinted.
