After the demons kill his family and Nezuko turns into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado meets the Hashira. Everything happens the same as usual, until he arrives at Sakonji Urokodaki's home.
Urokodaki tells him, "You'll be my fourth student."
Tanjiro blinks. "Fourth? Who were the other three?"
Urokodaki doesn't answer. Instead, he slides the door open.
Inside, Tanjiro sees a skeleton in a hoodie sleeping on the floor.
Sans opens one eye. "Oh. A new kid?"
Before Tanjiro can react, another skeleton bursts in, standing tall and proud.
"I, the great Papyrus, welcome you!" he announces.
Sans teleports beside Tanjiro, making him jump. "Heya. Chill, kid. No need to freak out."
Papyrus waves his hands. "Yes, yes! We are not demons!"
Tanjiro tries to steady his breathing. "O… okay. This is just… a little strange."
Sans shrugs. "You'll get used to it."
