"W-what's going on?" I mutter while slowly waking up. I try
and stretch but I can't, my arms and legs are being held together by something.
Everything's fuzzy. That's to be expected given that I was knocked out. Then
again I'm thinking more coherently than someone in my position should. Maybe
because of the dreams I have? They can't really be called dreams if they
actually happen though. Assuming that they are actually, which I'm almost
certain they are.
"Oh hey, he's awake already! I thought he was supposed to be
out all day papa!" Buttercup shouts to inform the others. I can't see her, all
I can see is crystal on what I assume to be the ceiling. I must be tied up and
lying on something, I doubt they would carry me themselves. Wait a second… OH
GOSH IM GONNA DIE!!! THEY'RE GOING TO EAT ME!!! No wait… they probably aren't cannibals…
THEY'RE GONNA FEED ME TO THE RAPTORS!!!
"I thought he would. Damn punk has a thick skull, probably
why he has those knives in it." My senses slowly come back to me so I soon
notice the wet substance on my head, is it blood or something else?
"Should we knock him out again?".
"Not yet. He's not getting out of those chains and I'm not
getting cut again.".
"What should we do with him? We can't just kill him, kitty
will get mad." At least that's something.
"He's already mad. I knocked his buddy out after all. If I
didn't threaten the guy I might be dead now. He backed off but I don't think
this is going to work out long term." A lot must have happened when I was
unconscious. I'm glad Allister didn't kill anyone.
"Then why send sweet pea down the cave with him?".
"Because I needed the car down there for my plan. Listen, it
sucks but your cat friend has completely ruined this. I think we should cut our
losses with him. I'm luring him to attack baby directly.".
"What?! We can't do that! He'd die!".
"That's the idea. The raptors get more numerous the closer
to baby we get.".
"What about sweet pea?!".
"He's going to be fine as long as he does what I told him to.
I hate you kids but I won't let anything happen to you." I just listen in
silence. I try my best not to panic but I'm not sure how long I can hold out on
that front. This is all my fault, if I had just listened to Allister at the
start this wouldn't have happened. No Haruo, that's pointless. You've got to
look at the big picture here. Step 1: get the wand. Step 2: win. Step 3: deal
with lord star falls soldiers. Step 4: go do some drawing because you haven't
had the opportunity in a while. St-
"I can't believe you!" Buttercup screams, followed by the
sound of footsteps.
"Wait! Stop it you damn brat!" Did she run away? 2 different
but rapid series of footsteps seem to be my answer.
"Hello? Are you still there? You didn't leave me did you?" I
get no response. They left me here. Because of course that's how today goes. So
I'm chained up on the ground, all alone in a cave. I don't even have my bag anymore. Just
great. "Good thing nobody else saw this." I take a moment to see if anyone
shows up. "Kind of hoped I'd tempted fate with that 1." Well it was worth a
try. I roll onto my side, the jingling of the chains keeping things from being
completely silent. A full roll lets me see what's around me, including my bag
to my left. That's good, I'd be a bit screwed if they'd taken it further. "Rolling
rolling rolling." When I make it to the bag I do my best to open the strap with
my teeth. Unfortunately I just can't do it, it just slips out. "Plan B then.
This is going to be horrible." Repositioning myself lower, I tilt my head down and
then push it forward. My horns poke into the fabric, sending an intense
sensation into my head. I shut my eyes tight and bear with it. I push my horns
in and they pierce the bag. They hit the 11th volume of mariner
satellite. My heart stops. DID I DAMAGE IT?! THIS COULDN'T POSSIBLY GET ANY
WORSE!!! "This is so annoying…" I grumble and pull back slightly. "I'm not
buying a new bag." I'll just learn sewing. It can't be that hard can it? My
horns go down and cut into the bag. The first line is easy but the second is
much harder because I need to turn my head unnaturally to do it. Soon I've cut
a huge square into my bag and my manga slips out. "Phew." There's no damage to
the volume. That's 1 crisis averted. I stick my horns into the square and
rustle around with them. When I make contact with the fluffy feathers of the
wand I know where to go next. It takes a lot of time and delicacy to drag the
wand out without damaging or marking it. It's not small enough to go through
the square but that's fine. This next part is the moment of truth. I don't know
if it will work and even if it does the others might get angry with me. But I
don't exactly have a choice if I want to get out of these chains. So I put my
teeth on the staff and shimmy it out. Ok, moment of truth. Transform! The pink
light erupts and the costume wraps around me. My hair and eyes change from the
dull naturals to the colourful pink. I was genuinely kind of scared that the
outfit would come out in the wrong places or on top of the chains but I guess
it's smarter than that. Now Kaiju boy is here and he's still laying on the
ground, tied up with his wand in his teeth and a completely ruined backpack. My
Kaiju rip the chains apart and I stand up shakily. My legs were asleep for a
second but I should be fine now. I look down at my bag in annoyance. "Can you
take this back to my room please? Make sure no one sees you and please don't
break anything." I hand what remains of my bag to 1 of the kaiju and they give
a nod. They scurry off and I turn to look down the cave where the others should
be. If they really plan to take in a kaiju, they are going to need my help. I run
down the tank in the direction I heard them go, I just hope I can make it in
time. "Why is this tunnel so long?!" Who decided that tunnels needed to be this
long?! This must be the tunnel of lord star fall!
"Papa this is all your fault!" Buttercups voice echoes. It's
a little hard to make out because there's also the sound of a battle going on.
"Shut it! Don't move or it'll notice us!".
"Oh because your being so inconspicuous!" I'm glad the cat
mafia is so loud. It lets me know when I'm getting closer. The more I run the
more smooth the walls get. The kaiju likely has more spawn the closer you get
to the original. With the original being directly under attack all the spawn
will be there to protect.
"Both of you are really making thi-ARGH!" Oh no Allister! The
light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter until I cross through. The
implication doesn't strike me until a second later but I at least don't die so
that's something. The silence as soon as I enter the diamond is palpable. The
echoes from the battle remain for a while. The dome is around the size of a
football field, more than big enough to house at least a couple hundred of the
raptors and yet it still looks like there's too many. All of them, the raptors,
the criminals and the clones look at me. I still feel the panic I usually do
when people look at me but it's like Kaiju boy acts as a shield. I give a
confident smile and look up to the original. I can faintly perceive the tiny
pink fire on it, a giant teeth covered T rex fused to the wall as it warps
around the limbs. It's looking at me, even without any eyes I can tell. It's
body is curled up like a fossil and everyone else might think it is asleep.
"It's angry." That's all I can say with the brief glimpse I
got before my eyes hurt and returned to normal vision. It doesn't want this. It
doesn't even know where this is. "I'm sorry." Is all I can say before the
raptors all charge me.
"You handle this! I'm keeping this lot safe!" Allister yells
while carrying the others out the way I came. I give him a nod. The kaiju isn't
exactly in a merciful mood it seems because its spawn immediately chase after
them.
"Please help them." Naga springs out and barges through the dinosaurs,
coiling in front of the entrance to keep my friended from being followed. The
rainbow scales get stained with acid, naga clearly doesn't like it but they
resist it to an amazing degree. Naga responds with a stream of purple poison
and takes out several of the spawn while the others run back. "Mines better." I'll
admit to feeling pride in how capable my kaiju are. Everyone just stares at me
with drooling mouths and shrunken irises. "Sorry everyone, but I'm not your
next snack." I let out a brief burst of power and release a dozen generic
Kaiju. I can't go too far because otherwise they won't fit. The flaming
gorillas stand at 20 ft and the the thunder cats at 40. It's like an
omnidirectional wave of monsters. They crash through the enemy with a force and
brutality that I almost feel uncomfortable with. We're heavily outnumbered and
I'm not sure if I can win but I'm going to do my best to stay calm. The smell
of all the acid creeps into my nose, it's very unpleasant. But still, this is
going well so far. The extreme number of the spawn proves tricky for my kaiju, they
follow the flame gorillas up the wall and their claws slashing at the thunder
cats legs. While my guys can regenerate it's clear that the raptors are doing
some real damage, especially with the acid. But even then, we clearly have the
advantage. We clearly have quality over quantity. The sheer size of the thundercats
mean they just bulldoze through the raptors and all the lightning they send
around is something that the raptors have basically no counter to. Some of them
seem to figure out that I'm the source of the monsters and rush at me. I have
the gorillas launch fire from their mouths to deal with that. "This place
smells terrible." The smoke really does not go well with acid. I summon Raven
so he can use his wings to blow all the fumes away. "Thank you." I say as I
stroke his wings. Raven lets out a huff in what I can assume is pride. He's so
nice compared to his intimidating look. I make a finisher sword for him to use
and send him off to join the fight. He's 1 of my strongest guys so it's no
surprise that it's like throwing fruit into a blender. "Again for what it's
worth I'm genuinely sorry!" I call out to the original. I feel genuinely bad
about this. They hear me, or at least I think so, because the spiral on the
wall starts to glow. It vibrates as much as it can with its fixed position and
a soft hum can be heard over the battle.
"Godzilla this place stinks!" Sweet pea yells from behind
naga.
"Why are you still here?!" I yell. A lot happens next. The
humming stops for a split second and I send a few blue ravens over to naga to
shield the others. It's like everything is moving in slow motion. The glowing
turns into a full on shine and seemingly shatters into shards. It's like a mix
between a shotgun and a mini gun. A shower of basketball sized diamonds rushes
to every section of the dome. They move faster than a bullet and seem to be
endless. The blue ravens make it just in time to take the brunt of the impact. The
wings hold strong at the start, being able to redirect the projectiles to the
side and barley being pushed back by the force. But soon cracks appear, and after
half a minute the wings get blasted through, obliterating the armour all over
their bodies. Naga uses their scales along with rapid coiling movements to
block more of them. While some do piece nagas body other are straight up shattered.
They also use the poison stream to knock many diamonds out of the sky, although
the falling drops are a bit annoying, not that I'm complaining too much given
everything else. I swear I saw Allister catch a shot that got through. Elsewhere
wasn't going as well. The gorillas on the walls get absolutely shredded in the
first 20 seconds, the regeneration quickly overtaxing itself and failing. If I
both the 'bullets' and the wall collide and break against each other, leading
to diamond dust falling to the ground. Even more stuff in the air, great. A few
of the bigger pieces fall on me and I get a few small cuts across my body. This
place likely isn't beneath zone W so that good but I don't want anything to
happen to whoever is above us. On the ground the thunder cats are doing
slightly better because of the lightning. I had them work together and unite
all the electricity to create a barrier of sorts. It can't stop all of the
diamond but it knocks away at least half of them. They all last the longest of
my rank and files before they fall to the diamond splash. Raven instinctively zoomed
back over to me, smashing diamonds with ease thanks to his sword and wings. My
automatic defence had already activated and summonsed a tough tree to shield
me. When it breaks Raven is quick to shield me for the full minute the
onslaught lasts. Even with my shaking from all the noise and explosions I can
see that most of the spawn had immediately moved to the side of the dome where
the original is. While a lot of them where hit by the diamond splash, it's
likely only 10% of the total. On the other hand Raven and naga are my only
Kaiju to withstand the attack when it ends. I'm surprised that they were able
to block it. No one can deflect the diamond splash!
"Holy shit! Is he dead?!" They didn't leave?!
"Thank you." I give all my kaiju a warm smile while
returning them to the wand. I can bring them back but if this keeps up I'm
going to run out of energy, especially with all this gas in the air. My
coughing gets more intense but it's not too much of a problem yet. "Oh come
on." I say in defeat when the original glows again. If I just summon the same
Kaiju again they'll just get hit and need to be re summoned again. "Norbert!" I
summon 5 of my ice bears including their leader. They instantly react to the diamonds
flying at us and release a massive wall of ice. When it crack they have to
release even more power to keep the wall up. The raptors join in as well by
spitting acid at the wall. I send Raven around to start attacking them, the
back of the sword releasing fire to increase the speed and power of his swings.
The more constricted space gives him trouble but he still slices through them. "Please
keep going!" I plead to the bears with a strained voice, even with me using
heal on Norbert they are running out of energy and won't hold off the attack
for much longer. "Ok, let's try this." I have no clue if this will work but
it's worth a try. I close my eyes and try to track out to something. I won't to
use the power from the voice of the planet again. I only did it the 1 time but
I'm trying again. I don't know where the voice is but I reach out anyway. I
picture a pink fire bigger than a building, that's probably too small but
whatever. I pull a tiny flicker from it before my mind slips away back to the
situation at hand. For less than a second my energy triples as the pink fire
flows from the ground into me. In that same half second I pass that power into
my bears. That tiny flicker I took allows them to release a veritable glacier on
the the diamond splash. Even if the mineral is tougher than ice it can't
overcome so much coming so fast. Raven gets out the way but the spawn aren't so
lucky. I feel bad but I'll sort it out afterwards. The if crashed into the
spiral kaiju and causes a large crack to form in the wall.
"Yeah! Let's go!" Buttercup yells.
"Please get back…" I say through exhausted breaths while
falling to my knees. Like the last time my body feels like its insides were
scorched. Just that flicker did this? Will I ever be able to get strong enough
to fight lord star falls soldiers? I can't see the pink flames anymore but I
can tell that didn't take the original out. But I've fully woken it up. More
and more cracks appear around the spiral until the the wall just breaks apart. Now
I've read enough manga to know that I should attack the enemy while they power
up but that seems like a bad idea. A sudden surge of power would probably just
make them harder to hurt. Or maybe that's just the excuse I tell myself to
justify taking the time to catch my breath. When the thunderous sound of the
kaiju landing on the ground finishes and the dust settles I get a good look. It's
like a T rex if the actual dinosaurs were babies. A dinosaur with small eyes
covering its sides and shining crystal armour across its body. It definitely
wasn't that big before, could this be a last ditch effort?
"Is that really baby?!" Buttercup asks.
"Looks like it's been building up strength while it was
converting this cave. Releasing that energy all at once is the only way I could
see such a weak Kaiju pulling this off." Allister mused. While he probably
could have been nicer about it he has confirmed something for me. Baby growls
at me, it's very intimidating. Wait oh my gosh I'm fighting an actual dinosaur!
This is awesome! This is the coolest thing I've done today! I'm so excited that
I can hardly contain it!
"That's impressive, but I don't think you can win at this
point." Despite my excitement I explain as calmly as I can. I don't have a
mirror but I think the smile I give is innocent enough. "You've lost your
support after all." I point a little ways behind the kaiju. I think they
actually looked with their extra eyes to see what I meant. Raven was sitting
among the hundreds of corpses from what used to be the spawn. His sword made
each kill quick which is nice, and I can add them to the wand later so I don't
exactly feel too bad. Is that normal?
"SKREEEEEE!!!!!" Baby makes the air shake with its roar and
the ground soon follows. Spikes shoot out of the ground on all sides. I return
the bears and fly into the air.
"I guess it makes sense you'd have some control over the
environment you altered. I wonder if we can do that?" That might be a bit too
advanced right now though. And this creature has been through too much already
for me to experiment. I'll end this with a method I know works. Naga moves
everyone else further back since the spikes are too much for them to handle. I
probably should have done that to begin with but it's not like o knew they
would be so keen to watch. Raven nearly gets pinned to the wall but holds them
back with his wing acting as a shield. He then manages to manoeuvre his way out
and join me in the air. He gives me a look that shows no emotion but I'm sure
says 'why are we even here?'. I look down at Naga who gives a similar look.
This 1 says 'do I have to take care of this lot?'. "Kinda yeah." I say without
confidence while rubbing the back of my head. They're loyal to a fault but even
they can have grievances I suppose. Raven blocks a diamond splash that explodes
from Babies body. At this point I've adapted to it enough to send Raven forward
while I summon gummy matter to stop it, the projectiles getting stuck in the
barrier. The bigger problem is that the airs been polluted enough to at I can't
breath too well anymore. My chest hurts and my vision is getting blurry, the
small entrance means that the gases stay in here. But I had to put up with it for
my plan. With Baby having to deal with Raven using hit and run tactics thanks
to his flight and (relatively) small size I have I bit of leeway to make good on
my strategy. In the wand I make a kaiju that's meant to take in toxins. When I
summon them they take the form of a purple gecko with large 'smoke stacks' on
its back. I make 2 more steckos and they all spread out. Each 20 ft long kaiju
begin to use their ability to suck in the diamond dust and smoke and poison
from the air into their stacks. Their internal organs are designed to purify
the gas and convert it into a calming element. It's completely harmless to them
and they break down what can't be converted for energy. In a few moments they
finish the process and bounce over to Baby. I have Raven move away before he
can be swiped or caught in the line of fire. "Dreamy haze!" I make sure to do a
flashy pose. As Baby charges another diamond splash the steckos shoot out a
pink sparkling mist out of their mouths. The monster gives the closest thing it
can to a cough when it's hit, causing it to stop its attempted attack. The
steckos all cheer like walruses which is my new favourite victory cry from
anything ever. I return them since the dreamy haze is taking effect. All the
eyes on Baby blink rapidly and the dinosaur wobbles around like it's drunk.
Dreamy haze is neutralising all the adrenaline and energy in its body, or at
least most of it. Baby is an E rank kaiju, it's been building up energy for an
occasion like this but it just hasn't been in an environment to truly grow
stronger. We've essentially just spread up the timer for it, as evidenced by it
getting smaller. Soon it becomes barley bigger than its spawn.
"Whoo! Great job! Now tie it up and we ca-" Raven interrupts
Buttercup by cutting Baby down the middle in a single swing. I immediately
absorb the heart into the wand.
"Please be nice to them everyone." I ask the kaiju inside. I
hope Baby can relax now.
"No! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Papa marches over. He
has to wait a second for naga to get out of the way but after that he's right
back to it. I'll always be interested in how less intimidating I find certain
people as Kaiju boy compared to Haruo. Not all the time mind you, I've
certainly been intimidated a bunch of times. But he was shaking in his boots
when this guy threw his weight around while I don't really feel anything.
"I can absorb kaiju hearts when I defeat them. This lets
them live in the wand happily so I don't have to worry about killing them." I
explain with a smile. It's probably the most convenient feature of the wand.
"You know damn well what I meant you damn brat! I don't care
how your magic mumbo jumbo works!".
"I do!" Sweet pea interjects.
"Well I'm not too sure myself, but what I do know is-".
"Shut it! You bring baby back right now! We need it!" Wow
they were not kidding when they said he didn't like me. Then again he doesn't
know I'm the same person.
"I don't think that's a good idea. They didn't exactly enjoy
doing that. I can tell even now that they'd rather stay in the wand." I can
sense Babies feelings in the wand, I guess this could be considered an extended
vacation.
"We need Baby for the business." Oh right, I'm getting a cut
of that aren't I?
"Seems like you have more than enough. He saved us, I think
that warrants some understanding on your part." Allister says.
"I think he's right papa. He saved us, I don't understand
why but he did." That's a weird thing to say. Why would you need a reason to
save someone?
"That's not the point." He starts to pace back and forth. "That
was our main source of income, what will we do without it?".
"Do you need to keep mining?" I ask.
"Of course we do, there's so much more.".
"Sorry that's not what I meant." I say quickly in
embarrassment. "If I gave you all the diamond in this cave you'd have more than
enough. Couldn't you go and do something else with the money you would get?"
Everyone looks at me with what I'm sure are surprised reactions. "What's
wrong?" I look away to avoid eye contact.
"Even ignoring the logistical problems there." Sweet pea
starts. "Who could we sell that much to? The usual customers won't take this if
they know we're shutting down shop. Actually they would but then they'd also
just fuck us up something fierce." I feel like a computer buffering while he
explains all this. I'd make a horrible gangster.
"Uhh…" I think hard for a second.
"Not even that but what do we do with all that money?"
Buttercup brings up another point. "I'm going to be honest with you, Id be more
than happy to walk away from this life after everything's that's happened. But
starting a new life? Let's be realistic." Her tone gets uncharacteristically
somber. Dang, they're right. I guess my idea won't work after all.
"Why not open a restaurant? The pizza you made me was
amazing." We all look as Allister reenters the conversation. She made him
pizza? That's nice. Wish I could have had some.
"W-what?! There's no way that would work! My food isn't that
good!" She yells bashfully. She attempts to hit Allister but he returns to his
cat form to avoid it. He struts over and stands next to my feet.
"I think it's a great idea!" I clap my hands together. "You
can make people happy and stop doing crimes!" I can't contain the smile on my
face.
"For what it's worth sis, I think your pizzas are absolutely
delicious." He places a hand on his sisters shoulder.
"Do you really think so?" She rubs her left arm.
"Maybe you can have a dessert menu! I'd love some cake!" Aw
I can taste it in my mouth already!
"Hold it!" Papa silences us all. Still feels very weird to
call him that. "Let's not actually dignify this. Our family has been doing this
for generations. We can't just give that up.".
"Is what your family does worth more than their lives?" I
ask blankly. Like I said, being Kaiju boy gives me a boost in confidence. The
question clearly affected the man. He was about to say something but stopped
himself. He's considering it at least.
"What about our customers? If we stop they could come after
us.".
"Do they know your identities?" Allister brings up.
"No, but let's not pretend they couldn't find out. This is
the devil we know.".
"Sir, I can't say I understand the situation, but I promise
you that nothing will happen to you or your family. You will all be under my
protection." I grasp his hands and plead. He mulls it over for a minute.
"I can't believe I'm taking something like that seriously.
You're a terrorist aren't you?" … huh?
"N-no!!! That's all just a huge misunderstanding!" I wave my
arms around frantically.
"Well, I'll take a terrorist if it benefits me I guess.".
"Oh… thanks I think?".
"But how do we get all of this out?" Sweet pea gestures to
the truly ludicrous amount of diamond around us. Luckily that's 1 of the only
things I thought of ahead of time.
"That's easy! We can take care of that right?" I suddenly
release at least 100 different Kaiju of varying sizes. They move like a well
oiled machine, smashing up the walls into manageable chunks and passing it down
the tunnel. "Nice! We'll be done in 20!" Everyone just stares at me. "Is there
something on my face?" After whatever that was wears off the others start to
leave. But Allister comes to ask a question. I crouch to hear him over the
noise.
"Isn't introducing this much into the market going to ruin
the value?!" I have no clue what that means but I know someone who I think I
can convince to buy from us. The mining moves at a lightning pace. If the hero
thing doesn't work out this could be a nice backup.
"Hello?" I say into my phone after tapping on the right
contact.
"Hello Haruo! What can I do for you?" Lilith answers the
phone in a slightly flustered voice. She must have been in the middle of
something that I interrupted, she's quite diligent like that. Aw, now I'm
feeling bad. She probably still needs time to recover from a week in captivity
and then I pull this? I owe her.
"Hi Lilith, you wouldn't happen to have a few million pounds
your willing to spend would you?" I tap the tip of my shoe on the floor while
asking.
"Hm? Sorry it seems a bit loud on your end. I must have
misheard you." Oh boy she's mad.
"Well you see…" the tiny thuds on my head from her kicks are
surprisingly relaxing. But I'm not going to tell her that, I don't think that's
why she does it. Lilith arrived with 2 men in suits and shades within a few
minutes of our call.
"Dummy! How did you get yourself in trouble again?!" To say
it's strange that the top Kaiju child in the world is talking to a bunch of
criminals, a talking cat, a guy in cosplay and a few giant monsters carrying
bags I made which are absolutely stuffed with diamonds is an understatement. But
the beach is a good spot for criminal dealings, I'm surprised that more
gangsters don't show up around here, the beach is practically always empty
nowadays.
"I didn't mean to. I just wanted ti check something and then
it kind of escalated and Allister said he had a plan." I try and appease her in
a shy manner while backing away. Her eyes quickly meet that of the cats.
"So it was you who got him hurt?!" She zooms in front of his
face.
"Hi, nice to meet you again. Now get out of my face why
don't you?" Wait a second, what's happening?
"Oho? Does the kitty want to say that again? I'm curious to
hear more of your thoughts." Lilith brings her hand up to her mouth in a mock
laugh.
"I can do a whole lot more than that you little sociopath."
Ok this is getting a little out of hand.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice Lilith. I know
this is a massive ask on my part." I cut in to try and get things back on
track.
"This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen." Sweet pea
whispers to his sister even though we can all hear him.
"Even that 1 night stand you had?".
"Ok, the 2nd.".
"Just get on with it." Papa says bluntly. "Please." That's
nice of him.
"Yeah whatever. I already did the screening when I got
here." Lilith gives him a side glance then snaps her fingers.
"What do you mean by screening?" I ask and tilt my head. Is
this an inside joke I'm not getting? How many of those can a single woman have?
Benefits of being number 1 I suppose.
"I need to make sure your not being manipulated again." She
gives me a pat on the cheek.
"Um, thank you?" I still don't get it.
"Here it is, I was planning on relocating you all last week
but with things on hold I suppose I can indulge your culinary endeavours." Her
speech switches to a more posh tone, not to say that Lilith didn't sound like a
noblewoman before but there's a degree of unfamiliarity in her voice now.
"The hell'r you talking about?" The leader asks. Yeah, he
wouldn't know about her plan would he? Heck, I barley did.
"You'll be receiving 5 million in cash. A discount as I'll
be taking a frankly unusable amount of crystal off your hands in a single
transaction. I'm sure you understand yes?" Given the grumbles I don't think
they are too happy.
"Please?" I ask innocently.
"You said it yourself: you don't want to look over your
shoulder anymore." Allister climbs onto Buttercups shoulder. "This is how that
happens.".
"Oh kitty. Does this mean you forgive me?".
"Not in the slightest." She clearly hasn't given him
biscuits before.
"That's fair.".
"Here it is." 1 of the men in suits hands over a suitcase
that I assume is filled with money. My assumption is proven true when the cat
Marie place the case on the ground and check inside. They count each and every
note before closing it again.
"I was kind of expecting there to be more of a catch." Sweet
pea muses while my kaiju place the bags in front of Lilith. Wait shouldn't I
carry that for her? No, I'm committing.
"Someone as superior as myself doesn't need to bother with
something like that. I mean, what more do you have to give?" She wipes off some
of the sand I accidentally got on her.
"Do you have to be like that?" Allister asks.
"Yes." She ironically gives a cat like smile. She's really
pretty. Wait no I shouldn't objectify her like that.
"Well as fun as listening to whatever psychological torture
this is would be, I belive out business here is complete. Thank you for this."
Papa shakes my hand and begins to walk away with the suitcase.
"He really is grateful. And so am I, you saved our lives. If
you ever need anything just ask." Sweet pea promptly follows his father.
"See you later kitty!" She waves and follows behind.
"Still not my name.".
"We did a good thing today." I smile and detransform.
"Only time will tell." This was quite a detour, but I think
it was worth it if I really did help them.
