"Guess who," I said to Beth, covering her eyes.
"Luanna!" she shrieked and immediately hugged me. "How I missed you!"
"Me too," I drew out. "Where's El?"
"Didn't they tell you?" she asked, and I shook my head. "Lu, they broke up."
"Bummer. We'll manage," I said sadly. "So, where are you seated?"
"I bought a ticket late, so way back there," she pointed to one corner.
"Let's go backstage? The view will be perfect there," I started pulling her.
"I can't. They won't let me in. Their management will just make things harder for me. We barely managed to stay together as it is," she became hysterical.
"Girl, they have a new manager," I laughed, continuing to pull her.
"What if she's even worse than them?" she worried.
"Idiot, she controls everything, and she's super cool," I reassured her.
"How do you know?" she frowned.
"Because I am her," I tapped her on the back of the head.
"I don't understand?" she was confused.
"I have complete control over One Direction," I snorted and kept pulling her.
"Seriously?! Will I be able to join you on tour?" she jumped up and down.
"We'll talk about that later," I laughed. "But now, hurry up, the concert is starting," I said, and we sat down near the stage, but out of sight.
The guys started talking to the fans, and finally, they started singing. I admit, it was the first time I heard them, but they sounded great. Just like two years ago.
Toward the end of the concert, during a slow song, when all the guys were seated, Beth received a text from Harry.
H: "Where are you? I don't see you anywhere. I know where you were supposed to be sitting."
I quickly pulled out my phone and wrote a reply while Beth watched, intrigued.
L: "You're looking in the wrong place, idiot."
He immediately turned toward us, and I gave him the middle finger, which made him burst into laughter. I get it. We must have looked strange sitting on the floor with food. He nudged Niall's arm, who was playing the guitar, to get him to turn around. Niall also started laughing with him, as we were now making silly faces and wriggling on the floor.
As it turned out, all the guys started laughing. I don't know if, as their manager, I should be mad that they weren't focused, or if I should even be doing this, but hey, this is me Luanna Perez, who causes trouble.
They somehow managed to finish the song and took a short break, during which they just kept laughing at us. They were practically doubled over.
"We apologize," Harry said first, almost calmed down. "Guys, focus. The manager is going to get mad," and they started laughing again.
"Can you finally sing?!" I shouted at them, and they tried to calm down.
They started singing the next song. I forgot to mention that the musicians were also doubled over with laughter, so they had to calm down, too. Finally, they finished the concert, focused. At the end, they introduced all the musicians and thanked them.
"So, thank you for the music, and we'd like to thank our new manager, Luanna Perez!" Harry shouted, and the audience started screaming. "And we'd like her to show herself here. Come on out, Luanna!"
Beth pushed me forward. Everyone was looking at me and screaming. It was a great feeling. I walked up to them. I waved to the people, and finally, after taking a group picture, the five of us bowed and left. I didn't quite understand why I was there, but I'm not complaining.
As soon as we stepped off the stage, Beth rushed into Harry's arms. They looked so happy. I couldn't help but smile.
"Luanna, so what about joining the tour? Can I come with you?" Beth asked hesitantly.
"You? With us?" I asked mockingly, and she and Harry looked at me nervously. "Are you even asking? Of course!" I laughed, and the two of them hugged me.
We started jumping in a circle. "Alright, enough. Shall we go celebrate our first day back together and your concert?" I asked.
Everyone agreed, and after getting ready, we left. Where? Nando's, of course. Jake and Josh tagged along, too.
"So, right now we count as having gone out for a meal after work, right?" I asked.
"Yeah," Niall replied.
"And we're not colleagues or anything like that right now, but friends?"
"Yes," Liam looked at me strangely.
"Perfect," I muttered, and everyone turned to look at me, and I turned my deadly gaze toward Louis. "Do you remember what I promised you?"
"N-no?" he stuttered.
"Are you lying?" I squinted.
"N-no?" he stammered again.
"Do you want me to remind you?" I asked sternly.
"N-no?" he stuttered exactly the same way.
"Your own fault," I said, and feeling danger, he started running, and I chased him. "You know I'm faster than you, give up!" I shouted, and just at that moment, snowflakes started falling. Perfect timing. It's going to snow even harder.
"Never!" he yelled back, but I, being right as always, caught up to him and pushed him into the snow, throwing snow all over him. Under his coat, into his hair, his shoes.
"I swore that if you hurt any of them, you'd feel double the pain, and physical pain at that," I said, standing up from him when he was already red from the cold and soaking wet. I kicked his leg one last time and walked back to the others.
Jake gave me a high-five, as always.
"You should have learned from that," I turned to Harry, who just nodded and put his arm around Beth's shoulders. Louis didn't move from the spot. "Are you coming or not?" I asked.
"Maybe I'll just lie here a bit longer," he squealed, and Liam and Niall sighed and went to lift him up. "It's cold. Snow everywhere," he shivered.
"God, how great it would be if the wind blew right now," you won't believe it, but it did. "The gods are on my side, Louis. Just know that you are currently my least favorite member of this band."
"Fine, can we go now? I'm freezing, seriously," he pleaded.
We just continued walking. There weren't many people here; of course, a few fans wanted to take pictures with the guys, so Beth and I went to order food. We could hear them talking.
"Where are you from?" Harry asked while signing autographs.
"Ohio. We're on vacation here in London for a week," they beamed with joy.
"Then I guess you'll want a picture with more than just us," he said.
"What do you mean?" they were confused.
"Luanna?" he called me, and I turned around.
Their faces were priceless.
"Need something?" I asked, putting money in my pocket.
"Someone wants a picture," he requested while the two girls stood staring at me.
"Of course," I smiled, and we took a few perfect photos.
"You're a legend back home," one of the girls said happily.
"Yeah, one of the clubs has your picture proving your record achievement," the other added.
"What record?" the guys were interested.
"There's no record. Oh, look, our food is ready. Let's go eat. It was nice meeting you, girls," I smiled and quickly hurried away from there. I ran to Beth and helped her carry everything we ordered.
Finally, we all sat down at the table and started eating.
"So, what record were they talking about?" Josh asked impatiently, and everyone turned to look at me.
"They must have mixed something up," I chuckled nervously.
"Luanna?" Beth and Jake asked.
I secretly gave them a signal with my fingers that meant, "Later." I know, it sounds weird, but you have to find a way to save yourself and communicate secretly with your best friends.
"Really, they confused something," I shook my head, pretending to laugh as if it truly was a mix-up.
