Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The U.A. Crisis and the Threat Level

I. The Damage Report

U.A. High School, the fortress of hope, was under a state of maximum alert. The Dimensional Anchor had been extracted, leaving a gigantic, smoking crater where the impenetrable barrier of Quirks once stood.

In the emergency meeting room, Principal Nezu (the small animal with the High Spec Quirk) was projecting security footage. Present were the highest-ranking heroes: All Might (in his emaciated form), Eraser Head (Shota Aizawa), and Present Mic.

"The intruder... or rather, the intruders, do not fit any known villain profile," Nezu began, his calm voice contrasting with the gravity of the situation. "The energy analysis is what concerns us."

Nezu clicked, and the screen displayed a diagram of the energies recorded during the attack.

"The 'explosive boy' (Katsuki Bakugo) wasn't holding back his Quirk against the green-haired woman. He was paralyzed by a force that isn't gravity. Our readings indicate pure Psychokinetic pressure, without the signature of any registered Quirk. And it was exerted by the green-haired woman (Tatsumaki)."

Aizawa, with his usual tired demeanor, frowned. "Which means my Quirk, Erasure, wouldn't have worked against her. She doesn't have a 'Quirk' to erase. It's a mental force."

"Correct. Now, the man in orange (Goku)," Nezu continued. The screen showed an aura of golden energy surrounding Goku. "The high-power sensors barely registered his energy, but when he shouted, the pressure wave was enough to completely vaporize Bakugo's attack at its peak. This isn't a Quirk; it's Ki. Raw life-force energy, concentrated."

All Might looked at the image, his blue eyes tense. "That energy... it's similar to what I used to feel in the past. Absolute power. A force that needs no gimmicks, only spirit. The boy treated it like a game."

"And finally, the detonation," Nezu said, showing the image of the crimson explosion. Even on video, the scale was terrifying. "That was Mana Magic. A single attack with a power concentration equivalent to a thermobaric bomb. The woman who caused it (Megumin) could only use it once before collapsing, according to the video. It is a one-dimensional force, but of Apocalypse Class."

II. The Threat Level (All Might)

A solemn silence fell over the room. The team had faced villains with manipulation Quirks, but never forces as fundamental as Magic and Ki.

"And they say they were looking for something called the 'Anchor'?" Present Mic muttered.

"Yes. The evidence of Kaguya's dimensional seals is overwhelming. They are interdimensional travelers searching for a nexus. The Anchor of this dimension was at the heart of our energy source. Their mission wasn't to cause harm, but extraction. However, the collateral damage..." Nezu shrugged with a somber expression.

All Might straightened up slightly, striking the table with his fist.

"We must assume they are searching for that 'Anchor' throughout our entire dimension. If they continue to use that... Explosion... anywhere else, the cost in lives will be incalculable. The man in orange is SSS-Level, beyond even All For One. His mere presence destabilizes our world."

"But he showed no intent to kill," Aizawa argued. "In fact, the armored warrior (Erza) protected the man in orange from Bakugo's first attack, which indicates they have an internal code. And the green girl (Tatsumaki) only immobilized the boy. Their goal is extraction."

"But they are incredibly dangerous," All Might replied. "What is an 'extraction' to them could destroy an entire city. We must intercept them before they find the next Anchor."

Nezu nodded. "We have located residual Ki instability in the Mustafu area, Industrial District C. A new opening."

"The League of Villains has been active in that district, attempting to recruit a new member with a Disintegration Quirk," Aizawa noted.

"Perfect," All Might said, standing up. Once again, the Symbol of Peace took up the burden. "If this dimensional threat crosses paths with the villains, the catastrophe will be twofold. We must get to them first."

III. The Unexpected Jump

While the Pro Heroes mobilized with urgency to find the mysterious travelers, the team was once again in the dimensional void.

"Analysis: The energy of this plane is highly reactive and volatile. The next Anchor is located in a place with a high concentration of negative energy, not far from the school we destroyed," Kaguya informed them.

Goku smiled, excited. "That explosive kid was a lot of fun! His energy was strong! I wonder if he has anything to do with that negative energy..."

"Don't make me go back to that school. So much noise and so little strength. What a pain," Tatsumaki grumbled.

Erza, already re-equipped in her Flame Empress Armor, sighed. "The next place will be somewhere where Quirk control is low. Let's go. We can't afford to cause more collateral damage."

Goku placed two fingers on his forehead, focusing on the new Dimensional Ki signal.

"See ya, Heroes! Next stop!"

The team vanished with Instant Transmission, reappearing in an abandoned warehouse in a gloomy industrial district, filled with graffiti and ruined buildings. The Dimensional Anchor, weak but palpable, pulsed in the center of the ruins.

"This is it," Kaguya said.

At that moment, a high-pitched, hysterical laugh echoed in the darkness.

"Well, well. What do we have here? Some dimensional clowns who decided to play terrorist at U.A.? Tomura-kun would want you on the team, explosive boy."

A slender figure wrapped in a trench coat stepped out of the shadows. It was Dabi, with his Blue Flame Quirk crackling weakly in his hands. He was accompanied by Himiko Toga (with her manic smile and bloodlust) and a group of henchmen.

"Villains?" Goku asked, curious.

"Oh, what an interesting uniform! I need that vest!" Megumin exclaimed, already preparing her staff.

"Oh, look at that blood! I want to be you!" Toga shrieked, pointing her knife at Erza.

The team had run directly into the League of Villains.
