It was a Sunday morning, I was sleeping peacefully when I suddenly heard a yell in my ears. It annoyed me to hell but then I realised from whom it was and my face turned pale. Yeah! It was my mom yelling at me for still not waking up. I quickly sat up and stretched a bit, yet so shameless of me, I was still yawning in the bed until i noticed the time on the wall clock it was 10:00 AM and felt a glare on me which startled me. I Jumped out of the bed and was about to head to the washroom to freshen up that's when i heard my dad calling me from dinning area. Whole of my good, long rest is making it up to me. My face turned pale as it isn't regular when my dad calls me. Today at this moment, I was feeling like i am back in my teenage where i had done something horrible at school and now, I need to face consequences. Forget it! I took a deep breath coming back to my normal posture walked out normally although a shiver was running down my spine.
I walked downstairs towards the dining area. I saw my mom, dad and sister having breakfast on the table. As i approched them I was first greeted by my small smirk playing on my sister's lips, I scoffed at her then glanced at my dad who was giving me a cold, side eye before he spoke up. "you know what's today?" he said, i looked at him a bit confused and said "today? its Sunday? why?" and saying this i ended up getting another side eye from him. I chuckled a bit out of guilty that i can't figure out what's he is talking about then i fell in my thoughts squeezing my eyes a bit trying to recall what he is talking about? suddenly the thought crossed my mind. "Your birthday!" I shouted remembering which even startled everyone. I smiled at my dad excited and spoke "Happy 50th Birthday Dad!". My dad sighs in relief that i do remember and then spoke "thank god! you remember but do you remember your promise too?". i looked at him for a moment remembering then said "Ohh!! i do remember.." I Sigh and spoke again "I have to take you have a proper look at my office, right? i will take you". I never took my family to a visit at my workplace as its a total mess, i don't want them to engage in it and dad took his birthday as an opportunity when i asked him yesterday what he want for birthday.
I shake my head a bit then settled across from my sister on the dining table and my mom served me breakfast too. I also started eating my breakfast, when i was about to finish I sensed someone staring at me. I looked up from my plate and saw my dumb little sister who isn't actually little looking at me with a smirk but not a casual one. I know this look! She is definitely up to something which i won't like. I raised an eyebrow at her but when she got up from her chair and run upstairs towards my room. I Finally realized and ran after her quickly "No!!" but i was late when i reached my room she already went in my room's bathroom and locks the door. She always does it, showering in my room. I felt like breaking the door up and making her out but i realized it was my fault and she is taking revenge. i sighed at the realization.

Last night i was busy on a important call when my sister came to me asking to call the plumber from her bathroom's repairing. I didn't paid attention to her and just gestured her that "i will" but later i completely forgot.

I sat on the edge of my bed and scoffed to myself. Afterall, it wasn't completely my mistake. She is old enough to call the plumber herself, it isn't also my responsibilty.

I was also quite into fashion designing but just kept it as a passion. although my cupboard(wardrobe) is full of fashion inspiring dresses. I won't lie but yes! i do have a great taste in trendy and fabulous styling as well as in men 😏. now, my dumb younger sister AKA Riya Birla She is 5 years younger than me means 20 years old. S he is right now studying engineering from a top university.
My sister is still taking shower, I can hear the water running in the bathroom. She takes too long in taking shower that's exactly what annoys me when she goes in first. I was still pissed off when i phone caught my attention. I picked it up from my bed side and checked who's calling. It was my friend or is she? *Samriddhi*. S he would definitely calling to borrow some of my dress again to show off in her friends. I know i shouldn't say this about my friend but she is really the most annoying and greedy friend of mine. Anyways, she is my friend.
I picked the call up and answered "hello? Samriddhi?" she is this shameless that she didn't even greeted me just directly on the point and spoke "Kirti? can i please borrow that black bodycon dress of yours, i want it for a friend's birthday party" i rolled my eyes on her demand but i can't actually deny that i am too kind so, i spoke up "why not! you can have it!" she responded "Can you please bring it at my place? i have some work to do, i can't come over" . i can't believe her, she doesn't even work yet and she things i? i? a Officer is that free. i still responded "fine, i will come to your place by 4. see you". She said a "bye" then i hanged up.
As i turned after hanging up, i saw Riya standing out leaning against the bathroom door. AA!!! She startled me, i sighed annoyed at her and asked "what?". She smirks "who were you talking to? boyfriend?". my jaw dropped at her statement, is she testing me? i responded annoyed "no!!!! it was samriddhi!! get lost to your room, i will call the plumber!". she scoffed " you better do, Big Sis but i am still not convinced it was samriddhi! and not someone else." she said with a smirk and walked to her own room. She is acting like she is my mother or she is elder sister. Even she told mom or dad that i do have a boyfriend, they won't believe her lie because they think no one is going to be interested in their daughter. They don't know how pretty their daughter is. Anyways, i went to bathroom and had a good shower. AFTER GETTING ALL READY;
I went downstairs to my dad who was already ready in new clothes, afterall its his birthday. His hair were a bit messed, i chuckled and walked to him and did set his hair running my fingers through his hair. Dad was really excited to visit my workplace. I smiled and said "ready to go Mr.Birla?" dad chuckles and said "yes! officer!!" . I and dad do have a good bond normally but also serious when it comes for my good. Dad and I walked to our car as mom wasn't coming, she said she do have a meet up with her friends. I helped dad in the back seat then i am got in the back seat with him as today our driver was taking us. no...no...Don't think i am that rich to even have a driver!! i am in government profession, that's why i am provided a driver along with a house which is not less than a bungalow. The driver started driving to my workplace, dad was busy on his phone replying to all the birthday wishes .i smiled and shaked my head a bit then looked out of the window enjoying the nice weather. It was soon going to be winters, so the wind was cold~
