Chapter 1 - First words: The echoes of the beginning

Emptiness was all there was, formless was the world. There were no stars in the cosmos, no sun thus no blue sky, and the moon was dark as the pitch black void. This was the world until... "Let there be..." There it was the echoes reverberating across the once empty universe.

So by it was from the lips of the Creator the realms burst forth in all it's splendor. Radiance was spread to the far reaches of what was once dark, what is now known as the heavenly bodies formed filling what was once empty, in our world the life arrived where it was once desolate. The oceans formed and the lands were raised from it, the lands that formed are now home to it's inhabitants and the stories that they bring with them through the ages. As ages passed what became of those born of the echoes are known as man. With life and lands formed so began the first age.

With the beginning of the first age came the rise of man, as if with the favor of the

creator thrived. The dominion of man spread throughout the continent, with dominion came their reign over the wilds and all it's beasts. It is not entirely unreasonable to 'ask how did these beings unremarkable at first glance hold dominion?' and to which is it said that men were given two gifts. The first of man is that they were created in the image of the one who made them, their very life drawn from the breath of the Creator. The second gift was that a chosen few of the race of men were given the power of words, it is said 'what is spoken is also what is done'. It was in this age where men were close to their Creator, basking in the radiance of warmth, drinking from his rivers of knowledge, and listening to the very echoes that made their very being.

In the second age man grew his kingdoms into empires, with their conquest came at a price. With conquest comes it's toll in blood, and so the the earth was painted red. It was through wars that ensnared every realm of man in it's jaws, the innocents sheep under the hunger of the wolves as conquerors became tyrants. Other than the weapons of the flesh they began to use the power of the words in their conflicts, what was meant to uplift tore down, what was meant to create destroyed, and what was meant to raise man to heights unknown became thier undoing. When the Creator saw this he withdraw from the realms of man, only few remaining in communion and thus retained the second gift among those faithful to the law of the echoes engraved in the hearts of all.

The third age came and saw what risen from the ashes of war. The Kingdoms of Harmonia, Basdra, Melodia, Soph, and Barth spread across what came to be known as the continent of Midrin. Aside from the kingdoms of this age another power rose the 'order of spoken deeds' founded by Maelstrome the Herald was made to gather those who retained the second gift. Those with second gift are known to become persons of great influence in Midrin, thus they are saught after. While most kingdoms upheld respect for thos with the second gift there are many within these realms whose plots intend ill upon the Herald's brethren.

And so this is a tale of the true weight of words.
