Chapter 109 - New York Isn't Safe

Aaron carefully sensed the Phoenix within the Eternal Phoenix Core and compared it to what he had seen.

If the Phoenix inside Jean was a chick, then his Phoenix was an eagle.

An eagle eats chicks, one bite at a time.

'Phew, as I am now, at least mentally, I can already rival a typical fully-formed Celestial, perhaps even surpass them, right?'

'Once my physical body is further enhanced, I can proceed to the next step.'

Aaron felt terrifyingly powerful.

Once he got angry, he could probably burst and destroy the Earth like a balloon in a few breaths.

Even if this power was more reflected on a mental basis, it was still terrifyingly strong.

Moreover, he could detach from this "fragile" physical body, elementalize into fire, and thus perfectly unleash the power of the Phoenix Force fragments.

It was very tempting but Aaron didn't want to just transform into a Phoenix like that.

His current mental strength was not yet able to contend with the emotions and minds of the Universe's inhabitants.

If he were to go all in like that, he might end up going mad.

And even a complete Phoenix wouldn't pass the Living Tribunal.

'Calm down. I want to control this power, not be controlled by it.'

Aaron took a deep breath, cooling himself down and regaining his composure.

This instant seemed to have lasted a long time. But from the outside, it was only a few seconds.

"Mr. Aaron? Jean's condition just now…"

Charles's expression was suspicious, and he began to doubt whether Aaron had the ability to treat Jean.

Before meeting Aaron, although Jean was walking on the edge, the problem wasn't too big.

But after just meeting Aaron, looking at him, and shaking his hand once, she almost went into a frenzy.

Even Aaron himself… seemed to have some problem?

Aaron shook his head. "The little fellow isn't big, but her temper isn't small. However, it's not a big problem. As long as I give her a little guidance, it will be resolved soon."

"I have a lot of experience dealing with such mischievous, wayward, and corrupted little things."

Under Charles's suspicious gaze, Aaron made a guarantee.

Isn't it easy for a hawk to train a chick?

What, you won't listen?

Then I'll erase you directly.

Anyway, without Phoenix, Jean is still an Omega-level Mutant. Her potential might be lower, but her perfectly controllable power can increase like a rocket.

Hearing this, Charles had no choice.

Now that it had come to this, it was no longer a question of whether he agreed, but whether Aaron was willing to let go.

Even if it was a desperate measure, Jean's problem had to be solved.

"Then I'll leave it to you, Mr. Aaron."

Aaron nodded. "Is there anything else?"

Charles thought for a moment, opened his mouth, but still shook his head.

They were about to leave.

Just then, Aaron suddenly thought of something and said meaningfully, "Oh, Professor, if you have any Mutants in your school who dislike their abilities, you can bring them to me."

"I might have a way to help them solve it."

Charles's heart stirred, and a terrible thought arose within him.

Does Aaron have a way to erase Mutant abilities?

Or rather, has their research on Mutants reached an extremely profound level?

Charles subtly gave Jean a look, and she nodded secretly.

"No problem, I just hope Mr. Aaron doesn't conduct any experiments on them, they are also members of humanity." Charles said as tactfully as possible.

Aaron raised an eyebrow and said, "Human experimentation? I would never stoop to that."

With that, Aaron continued to walk away, leaving Charles with a dashing and mysterious back.

"Professor... perhaps he's right, maybe they really don't need human experimentation?"

Storm recalled the human detection technology displayed at the Exposition just now. With that, perhaps there was no need for such primitive methods?

Charles shook his head, his face filled with worry.

He certainly hoped so, but who knew?

Charles suddenly shouted at Aaron's retreating figure, "Mr. Aaron, are you a Mutant?"

"No."

Aaron said without looking back, then disappeared from sight with Jean and Felicia.

The next moment, the consciousness of the surrounding crowd was released, and they all scratched their heads, wondering why they were there.

They had forgotten the fact that Aaron had appeared, and they all shook their heads and dispersed.

"Professor, where's Jean?" Scott looked around, his expression slightly changing.

"Jean... she left with Aaron."

"What?!"

Scott was shocked. His crush, whom he had secretly loved for years, had left with another man in just one day?

Was childhood sweetheart not as good as a sudden arrival? Where exactly had he lost?

"No, I'm going to see Jean!"

Scott had only taken two steps when he suddenly collapsed.

"Professor?" Storm realized something.

"Don't provoke Aaron, I have a premonition that he is countless times more terrifying than Magneto."

Charles sighed, unsure if coming to Aaron this time was the right decision. He only hoped that Jean could successfully gain his trust.

At least... if this man, who simultaneously topped the rankings for wealth and global influence, could slightly shift his views on Mutants, it would be enough to improve their difficult situation.

On the other side.

Jean, who was following closely behind Aaron, hesitated to speak, but before she could, she saw a swarm of reporters ambushing the Exposition.

"Mr. Aaron, we hear that Osborn Industries is about to be renamed Aaron's Group, is that true?"

"Mr. Aaron, there are rumors that you are moving your headquarters to another region? Is it really as the outside world suspects, that someone in New York State is coveting your Corporation's secrets?"

Aaron looked at the reporter, feeling quite good, and casually said, "It's simple, it's not safe here."

The well-endowed reporter's eyes lit up after hearing this, and she tried her best to show off her assets, licking her lips. "So you think the New York Police are wasting taxpayers' money?"

Good heavens, you're climbing the ladder with that.

Aaron ignored them and was about to leave, but suddenly paused, looking into the distance.

The reporters, who were crowding around, looked in that direction in confusion.

Aaron gazed into the distance, seeing Hulk and Abomination fighting each other several kilometers away.

Jean asked curiously, "What's happening over there?"

Aaron withdrew his gaze. "As I just said, New York isn't very safe."

Aaron turned back and instructed, "Tell Norman to inform the people on site that the Exposition is temporarily suspended."

"No, never mind, they already know."

As he spoke, many dignitaries in the Osborn Industries exhibition hall received news from outside.

After a glance, their expressions were enraged, and also filled with fear.

The U.S. President even picked up his phone and made a call, scolding a certain bald man.

As for Ronald, he also opened his phone with a grim expression.

There was also a message on it.

General Ross: General Ronald, I have the situation under control and will resolve the trouble soon.

Almost at the same time, Tony also received the news. With a solemn expression, he picked up the briefcase beside him, and the Mark V automatically began to suit up.

And in the very back of the venue, among the bodyguards responsible for guarding the entrance, Coulson, dressed in a black suit and standing among the burly men like a minion, also received an urgent notification.

His face fell. "Big trouble..."
