Chapter 349 - Cheating in a Game

Gwenpool lightly nudged Aaron with her shoulder. "What cheats did you activate?"

"Aimbot? Wallhacks? Speedhacks? Invincibility? Auto-aim?"

Aaron glanced at her. "Good suggestions, I'll add them all."

With that, Gwenpool saw a huge white 'Aimbot' text appear above Aaron's head.

Then came Invincibility, Auto-aim...

Gwenpool was stunned.

And then, she found a health bar and a mana bar appearing above her own head.

The health bar showed 100/100, and the mana bar was at zero.

Then she looked at the surrounding environment.

Steel was 998/1000, the glass door was 50/50.

Then she looked at Aaron.

"Editor, I'm reporting someone for cheating."

Gwenpool looked at the countless overlapping health and mana bars above Aaron's head, stretching to the sky, completely unreadable in their exact numbers, and felt utterly bewildered.

She swore that the games she played never had such exaggerated health bars. Even the most terrifying super bosses were mere rookies in front of Aaron.

Especially compared to her own meager 100 HP, it was even more striking.

It was like the stark contrast between a small chicken and a world-destroying boss.

After the shock, Gwenpool couldn't help but complain, "Does it have to be so exaggerated? How do you expect anyone to defeat you?"

"I've activated cheats, and I can still be defeated? Wouldn't that be a waste?" Aaron gave her a strange look.

Gwenpool was speechless.

What you said makes so much sense.

She looked closely again and suddenly saw a lock icon on the very bottom health bar.

This is... Invincibility?

You really have Invincibility?!!

Then why bother designing so many health bars for yourself? Why not just make it 1/100, giving people hope, then plunging them into endless despair?

Gwenpool slapped her forehead. "Alright, at least you still have a health bar. As long as there's a health bar, you should be killable, right?"

Aaron nodded in agreement. "You're right, it needs to be changed."

Subsequently, under Gwenpool's dumbfounded expression, the health bar above Aaron's head suddenly disappeared.

Only one mana bar remained, but it displayed: Infinite.

Gwenpool fell silent.

Good news: millions of health bars are gone, and Invincibility is gone too.

Bad news: the boss has upgraded to GM, becoming an invincible story NPC.

A golden greatsword, inlaid with dazzling rainbow gems, appeared out of thin air in Aaron's hand.

Buffs appeared one after another above his head.

Under his feet was a rainbow halo, representing countless statuses.

Gwenpool found an expand button and glanced at Aaron's character attributes.

Gwenpool watched in silence.

Looking at those tall titles shimmering with golden light, Gwenpool almost went blind.

She counted the abilities, at least a hundred of them.

And the titles were all more impressive than the last.

There were also several question marks.

Anyone could tell that the gap between them was too large, and she wasn't worthy of knowing.

Gwenpool numbly clicked on her own attribute panel.

Looking at the gray characters one by one, she showed an expression of 'as expected'.

Gwenpool's lips twitched. "I'm so silly."

Her titles were all blank, a stark contrast to Aaron's shimmering golden titles.

It was probably the difference between a roadside stray and a super GM big shot account with max level, and max equipment.

Both are human, so why are you so outstanding?

Gwenpool realized the gap between herself and Aaron. Her legs went soft, and she was about to kneel.

"Big shot, please carry me."

"I can do onee-san voice, little sister voice..."

Gwenpool grabbed Aaron's Asura armguard, which was thicker than her thigh, her eyes filled with sincerity.

"You're not giving yourself buffs?" Aaron looked at her in confusion.

Gwenpool giggled foolishly. "I don't know how. Why don't you add some for me?"

"My demands aren't high, just a few more question marks will do."

"Let's start with a hundred skills, and a few more titles."

Aaron's lips twitched. "Perhaps you can practice your abilities more and really tap into your potential."

Aaron casually waved his hand, causing Gwenpool's health bar to skyrocket, along with Invincibility.

"Alright, let's go!"

Aaron set off with Gwenpool.

Before the two could take two steps, Kang's base, which had long detected intruders, immediately sent hundreds of guards with live ammunition.

Leading them was one of the Kang Variants.

The Kang Variant's expression changed drastically upon seeing Aaron and Gwenpool. "You're still alive?"

"Quick, shoot them, kill them!"

Gwenpool was shocked and quickly hid behind Aaron.

She had Plot Armor, and with effort, she could definitely dodge bullets. But the Plot Armor also had its limits, and in a dense hail of bullets, no one could guarantee their safety.

Even if she had Invincibility.

Gwenpool secretly peeked.

Those guards were Rank 5, with 100 HP, but with equipment bonuses, they were stronger than her.

And the leading Kang Variant was Rank 99 and with very luxurious, shining red titles.

Time Master, Future Pioneer, World Destroyer... and there were many abilities as well.

For example, indirect time manipulation.

Although his attributes weren't great, he was still a little more powerful than her.

Putting everything else aside, just his time ability and rank alone definitely made him a boss character.

And he was also a disgusting 'gimmick monster'. He could infinitely summon minions and even pull people from the timeline and he himself wouldn't die.

But thankfully, Aaron was a GM account.

He should be fine, right?

At this moment, when the bullets landed on Aaron, everyone saw one huge MISS after another.

"What the hell?" The Kang Variant was stunned.

He rubbed his eyes.

He was sure he wasn't mistaken.

"What the hell is this HP bar? And what's the MP bar?"

"Am I still playing a game?"

Wait!

The Kang Variant realized something and looked around.

The glaring HP bar made him even more bewildered.

Before the Kang Variant could react, everyone vaguely heard a strange song.

"Carry, carry, carrying my luggage..."

"Where's that singing coming from?"

As the song began, the Kang Variant felt a chill run through his body.

An unknown, immense terror descended, filling him with an innate fear.

Gwenpool was the first to react. "Wow, it even comes with a sound system?"

Gwenpool had read many Marvel comics and played many related games, occasionally dabbling in some competitive games in her spare time.

She had always detested those cheaters who hacked.

Games should be played properly.

What's the point of cheating? There's no game experience.

If you told them off, the other party would say things like: 'A minor cheat isn't cheating,' 'If you're bad, practice more,' 'If you can't handle losing, don't play.'

It was simply disgusting.

Of course, if this cheater was a teammate or herself, it would be different.

"Go! Go!"

Gwenpool somehow got two colorful pom-poms from a comic panel to act as a cheerleader.

Aaron, meanwhile, pulled out a pistol from her thigh. "Lend me your weapon for a bit, you lie down first, watch me go godlike today."

Gwenpool reminded him, "This gun only has ten bullets per magazine."

"One magazine is enough."

Accompanied by the 'touching' song, Aaron pulled the trigger towards the sky, and as he fired, he leaped into the air, spinning and shooting in all directions.

Gwenpool was so frightened she was about to duck. However, she was surprised to find that Aaron's bullets seemed to have eyes, always curving in mid-air and accurately hitting the guards one by one.

Moreover, every shot was a headshot. Even Level 3 helmets were useless, one shot clearing their HP bars.

Even more outrageous was that, Aaron clearly hadn't reloaded, yet the small, broken gun with only ten bullets fired like a machine gun with infinite ammo, rattling non-stop. Hundreds of rounds were fired in a few seconds.

In the blink of an eye, all the guards led by the Kang Variant were wiped out.

Only the dumbfounded Kang Variant remained, mouth agape.

This Kang Variant was someone who had seen great storms.

A Kang who hadn't destroyed a timeline wasn't a qualified Kang.

However, this was the first time he had ever seen someone as outrageous as Aaron.

But thankfully, he's also a cheater.

The Kang Variant pressed the time controller on his hand.

No matter what happened next, he would be fine. This was the power of time.

"You guys are good, I didn't expect you to not be dealt with, but don't get cocky, next time we meet will be your death."

The Kang Variant left a harsh warning, stepped back, and entered a time portal.

However, Aaron raised his hand and fired a shot. The bullet passed through the Void and entered the River of Time.

The Kang Variant had just stepped out of the time portal, arriving at the headquarters of the Council of Kang, about to report the anomaly to the three main Kang Variants.

However, the next instant, a bullet shot out from the River of Time, piercing through his forehead.

The Kang Variant lowered his head blankly, looking at the motionless time controller in his hand.

"How is this possible? Time... failed?"

Across from him, the three main Kang Variants watched in shock as another version of themselves died.

They were the leaders of the Council of Kang: Immortus, Rama-Tut, and Centurion.

"He's dead?"

"I saw it."

"Is he really dead?"

"Nonsense, I'm not blind."

"How could he die?"

"Did he not activate the time controller?"

"No, he activated it, but he still died."

The three Kangs looked at each other, then looked up, bewildered.

How could he die if the time controller was activated?

"Could the time controller be malfunctioning? No way, that unlucky?"

Rama-Tut felt a chill and subconsciously checked the time watch on his wrist.

Immortus knelt beside the Kang Variant's corpse, checked the time watch, and shook his head. "No problem, at least no issues were found in the preliminary inspection."

"And this bullet... a headshot, and it can travel through space and time? What kind of terrifying existence did he provoke?"

Immortus did not connect the bullet to Aaron. In their eyes, Aaron had been exiled to a special Universe with no superpower rules, the current real Multiverse was theirs.

"Investigate! We must find out what happened!" Centurion said fiercely.

Although he didn't care about the deaths of other Kang Variants, he wouldn't rest easy without understanding the enemy.

On the other side.

"He escaped!"

Gwenpool said urgently, "According to normal plot development, he will definitely tell the other Kangs, then gather a super fleet to cross time and space."

"He won't have the chance."

Aaron descended from the sky, tossing the pistol to Gwenpool and shaking his head.

Gwenpool was very confused. "Why?"

As she spoke, she checked the pistol, ejecting the magazine, which still contained ten bullets.

However, when she clicked to view the pistol's attributes, she found the pistol had several attributes.

Infinite Ammo, Constant Temperature, Infinite Durability.

You even put a cheat on the pistol. Does it have to be this exaggerated?

Gwenpool was truly speechless.

Then she happily placed the pistol into her holster.

Now this cheating gun was hers.

Aaron said, "Didn't you look at my panel? One-hundred percent accuracy, head-locking, auto-aim, understand?"

Gwenpool's lips twitched. "Your abilities can even cross time and space?"

Aaron looked at her in surprise. "I'm cheating, why can't I cross?"

Gwenpool was speechless.

You're quite proud of yourself.

"Are we cheating a bit too much?"

Gwenpool said tactfully, "Maybe we can adjust it appropriately, at least have some game experience."

Aaron was even more surprised. "Too much? I just cheated a little bit, it's really not much."

Gwenpool was stunned.

How can you say that?

This is considered a minor cheat? What would be considered a major cheat then?

"This is a minor cheat? This is what I'd call it."

Gwenpool pointed to the tens of millions of HP bars and the locked HP mark above her head.

Aaron shook his head. "To a true cheater, what you have isn't cheating at all."

"Actually, mine isn't either."

Aaron spoke truthfully.

He was just trying out the editing permissions he got from Gwenpool.

To see what the upper limit of this ability was compared to the abilities he had obtained before.

Inhibition Field, understand?

There's also Ultimate Size Control, Power of Creation, Entropy and Negative Entropy...

Comparatively, the abilities he just used weren't cheating at all.

He hadn't even used the Primordial Furnace yet.

Gwenpool thought of the numerous abilities on Aaron's attribute panel and an absurd idea came to her.

"Are the abilities on your panel not from cheating?"

Aaron said as a matter of course, "Of course. You try to cheat one on?"

Gwenpool looked as if she'd seen a ghost. "So you never turned them off."

Thinking about it carefully, head-locking, auto-aim, flying, and such indeed didn't count as cheating compared to those other abilities.

Gwenpool couldn't help but feel a toothache.

Which editor created Aaron's alternate account?

Have some shame!

If you keep this up, no one else can play.

Gwenpool suddenly felt sympathy for Aaron's enemies.

It must be quite despairing to be Aaron's enemy, right?

And the Avengers...

Living on the same Planet as such a cheater, they definitely won't suffer from low blood pressure, right?

Thinking of this, Gwenpool suddenly wanted to go to Aaron's world to see.

She wanted to properly interview the superheroes on the same Planet as Aaron, and also listen to the thoughts of the villains.

She thought this would be very interesting.

At least during her time with Aaron, she truly felt it was completely different from the past.
