Chapter 398 - Father-in-law and Aaron

Clark turned, and flew in the direction Barry Allen had mentioned.

He wasn't being reckless, his Super Brain told him there might be a turning point in that direction.

This was the first time his Super Brain had worked since the war began.

No matter what, he had to try.

"Damn it! Bring them back!"

Seeing this, what else could Batman do? He could only go and see first.

Superman was the main damage dealer of the Justice League. If Superman were to be overwhelmed and killed, they would lose a trump card against Trigon.

Anyone could die, but not Superman!

"I'll take you."

Barry Allen, suppressing his hunger, carried Batman and rushed in a certain direction.

A few seconds later, when Barry and Bruce arrived at the center of Metropolis, they witnessed an astonishing scene.

They watched as a man simply raised one hand.

The demons, who had caused them so much trouble and seemed to know nothing of death, each seemed to see some great terror, trembling and kneeling. They seemed to be paying homage to a new king, a tyrant who made them feel fear from their very bloodline.

Barry couldn't help but exclaim, "This... How is this possible!"

"Are those demons... afraid?"

Cyborg scanned the surroundings. The demons' postures were like sons who had made a mistake encountering their father. Each hung their head, their faces filled with terror.

He could tell the demons were unwilling, but some power made them "voluntarily" kneel.

"Could it be... this man is a demon king?"

Batman made a bold guess, a hint of wariness rising in his heart.

How could those unruly demons willingly kneel to a human?

What explanation could there be, other than him being a demon king?

The others' hearts tightened at the suggestion.

Trigon was already troublesome enough. If another equally terrifying demon king appeared, how could they fight? They might as well dig a hole and bury themselves.

Clark's expression was solemn, but he shook his head. "My brain tells me he is definitely not a demon king, nor a demon."

"I sense a familiar feeling from him... but..."

At this moment, the man glanced in their direction.

The Seven of the Justice League froze in unison.

What terrifying eyes they were.

In that instant, they felt as if they had become tiny mayflies, while Aaron's eyes contained a whole world. That immense sense of disparity made them tremble and despair from the bottom of their hearts.

The inferiority that rose within them made them instinctively want to kneel and worship him.

But they were not demons after all. They were not suppressed by [Demon Bane], and the unmultiplied power of fear only made them temporarily lose control of their bodies. But even that was enough to make them afraid to look directly into those eyes.

"Do you know the Amazons?" Suddenly, the man spoke.

The demons were still prostrate on the ground, but they had regained a sliver of control.

Aquaman nodded. "I've heard of them, but they've been missing for decades. No one knows where they went."

"I once tried to contact them using the recorded communication methods, but I received no response."

Aaron wasn't surprised by this. Perhaps it was due to his influence, or perhaps it was simply a difference in worlds.

In either case, Diana and Donna were unlikely to appear.

The seven of the Justice League might finally have a place for the missing Martian Manhunter.

Aaron scanned the members of the Justice League.

Not a single familiar face.

Aside from similar decorations, they seemed to be entirely different people wearing Superman and Batman costumes.

It was clear at a glance that they were cannon fodder, mere extras. No wonder they couldn't even handle a group of ordinary demons, leading to the fall of the entire Metropolis.

"He's coming." Rachel, who had been frowning, suddenly spoke.

Aaron, hearing this, also sensed the rapidly condensing vortex of magic in the air.

He said without turning his head, "You'd best leave Metropolis immediately. This is not a place for you to stay."

Superman glanced at Raven, then at Sara. "This is the city I protect. Since they can both stay here, why can't I?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "They are my women. I will protect them. What are you?"

Hearing this, Aquaman and the others felt speechless.

Your words are a bit damaging to your image as a mysterious powerhouse.

The image of suppressing all with one hand and the image of being surrounded by women are completely different concepts, okay?

Also hearing this were Legends' members who had just arrived.

Rip asked with a hint of hope, "Uh... what about us?"

Aaron glanced at them and said bluntly, "I don't like men."

Rip and the others were speechless.

They understood the subtext: Aaron would not protect them.

So frustrating!

The oppression of men in this society is too great. When will men ever rise up?

Constantine then took his first puff of a cigarette. "Everyone, I actually have a good idea."

"Why don't we ask the other demon kings of Hell if they have..."

"Shut up!" * N

Rip and the others were both shocked and angry.

Shocked that Aaron was right, Constantine really did have the idea of fighting poison with poison.

Angry that Constantine still wanted to implement this plan. Isn't this world already troublesome enough?

Constantine didn't expect to incur public wrath. "Alright, I'll shut up. I just wanted to propose another, more effortless method."

"Isn't it good to let the demon kings charge into battle for us?"

Constantine hinted, "Actually, compared to magic, I prefer stratagem and wisdom. You don't understand, using magic comes at a cost, the stronger the magic, the greater the cost. But the stratagems passed down by our ancestors are the most practical."

"Believe me, if you had experienced everything I have, you would also understand this truth—the most effective methods are often so unpretentious."

"Demons, they're quite..."

"It's you again, damned Constantine! Who are you calling stupid?!"

Constantine's words enraged Trigon, who was being teleported over.

After sensing the changes in Metropolis from another dimension, he projected most of his power to this world through a sacrifice ritual. But he didn't expect to hear that scumbag Constantine's voice before even arriving.

It's truly a case of 'seek and you shall find'.

He originally thought it was just about destroying a world, but he didn't expect to be able to catch Constantine before the demons. This trip was worth it!

Constantine's face changed drastically as he was caught red-handed.

Feeling Trigon's undisguised malice, he quickly pointed in another direction. "I say, old ghost, why don't you look over there?"

"Hmm?"

Trigon subconsciously looked to the other side, and his voice suddenly grew louder. "Raven?! It's actually you!"

Trigon became even more excited. It was both Constantine and Raven. He was killing two birds with one stone this time.

"Wait, who is this man?!"

Trigon noticed Aaron at this moment.

Raven hugged Aaron's arm, burying herself deeply into his soft embrace. "Trigon, my father, I solemnly introduce to you, this is Aaron, my man, and your son-in-law."

"Oh, and this is my sister Sara Lance, also Aaron's woman, so she's your... goddaughter?"

Son-in-law? Goddaughter?!!

Trigon had always believed that as a king, he could maintain his composure, but he found he was wrong.

Upon hearing Raven's introduction, he felt his heart stop. After that intense suffocating sensation, a surge of anger and madness rushed to his head.

Raven was his most beloved daughter. She was so charming, so stubborn, and had potential no less than his own. He wanted to kill her, yet he loved her just as much.

However, now...

Trigon was still accumulating his rage.

Aaron, on the side, naturally knew Raven's thoughts. It was nothing more than to provoke Trigon, so he cooperatively embraced Sara and Raven.

"Old man, your daughter is very moist. I played with her all day yesterday, and now I'm here specifically to thank you. Thank you very much."

"Bastard!!!"

Trigon's already crimson body turned completely red, like a steaming hot shrimp, with white steam rising from his head.

"Aaron, is it? I will place your soul in Hellfire to burn eternally, to feel endless pain. I will tear and cut your flesh piece by piece before your eyes, and feed it to the lowest of insects."

"I'll kill you!!!"

As an extra-dimensional demon, Trigon had seen countless people, but this was the first time he had been completely enraged. Even the annoying Constantine seemed unimportant at this moment.

As Trigon roared, the entire sky instantly darkened. Red clouds and blood-colored mist, appearing from nowhere, covered the firmament, even obscuring the scorching sun.

A heavy aura of oppression filled the sky, and countless bolts of lightning struck down simultaneously. However, even the lightning, which hunted on behalf of the heavens, was now a dazzling scarlet.

Flames were burning, the earth was wailing, the sky was weeping, and the entire world trembled incessantly due to the Demon King's wrath.

Endless dark smoke traversed the sky,

The power signifying death was corroding everything they knew.

It seemed that in the next instant, heaven and earth would collapse.

All members of Legends were pressed to the ground by this aura.

However, it was only then that they belatedly realized that the earth had, at some point, turned black and white, as if all life had been drained from it, filled with desolation and decay.

In a trance, they seemed to hear the wails of all living things before death.

Constantine, disregarding the cost of magic, tried his best to use magic to ensure he still had the power to fight back. And in secret, he had already taken out a string of magical artifacts adorned with various strange carvings.

If one looked closely, one could see flayed, wailing humans, muscular strongmen with wings, unknown demons shaped like giant flies but with ferocious faces, and dark angels wailing for all beings.

Only a Demon King could contend with another Demon King.

If Aaron couldn't hold out, he would have no choice but to "call for friends."

Constantine loved making friends. Hell was full of friends, he could easily summon two. A mere Trigon, what was there to worry about?

Of course, this might lead to even more terrifying consequences. But as long as he was eloquent, those stupid demons would have no choice but to hold their noses and accept it.

Not just Legends, even the Justice League members, every single one of them, were almost brought to their knees by Trigon's terrifying aura.

Clark struggled to resist the external pressure, but exhausted from prolonged combat, he was now hunched over, unable to stand upright no matter how hard he tried.

It was precisely because of this that Clark realized the huge gap between himself and Trigon.

This was without him truly making a move. A single glance could make them so disheveled.

If he unleashed his full power, would Metropolis... or rather, this world, still exist?

However, Aaron seemed completely oblivious to Trigon's oppression, still holding Raven and Sara, standing there effortlessly.

"Old man, is that all you've got?"

Trigon was not surprised. For his daughter to be interested in him, Aaron must have something extraordinary.

"I hope your strength is half as formidable as your mouth."

Trigon laughed in extreme anger, and with a wave of his hand, Hellfire, under his control, covered the sky and descended.

The entire Metropolis was within its range!

He had already made up his mind that after destroying Aaron, he would personally dismember and tear apart this world to vent his endless rage.

However, no sooner had Trigon thought this than he discovered that the Hellfire he had summoned was out of control, detaching from his will and flying towards the sky.

"It's quite unfortunate. I can control all elements, including fire." Aaron smiled.

Trigon wouldn't believe that excuse for a second. This wasn't ordinary fire, it was Hellfire enhanced and empowered by him.

Elemental master, my ass!

"A bit interesting, but not much."

"You will never know what great power I possess. Before my greatness, even this world is but an insignificant grain of sand in the vast desert. With a mere wave of my hand, I can wipe away countless similar grains of sand."

Although Trigon was somewhat surprised, he showed no signs of losing the confrontation.

The others didn't believe it, but Aaron did.

As a Multiverse deity, in the eyes of Trigon at his peak, these myriad worlds were indeed like grains of sand.

But...

"Unfortunately, my rank is above yours." Aaron said.

Trigon's four eyes, however, held a mocking smile. "I like your mouth very much. I hope this mouth remains just as stubborn during endless torment."

"My daughter, are you sure you want to go down this dark path with him? Come with me, you and I..."

"Father, are you dreaming?"

Raven responded with a cold, merciless laugh, "Everything must end."

Saying this, the ruby on Raven's head, like a third eye, flickered with an eerie red glow. Black lines spread from the ruby outwards, but only covered half of her pale face, while the dark power within her body increased by more than ten thousand times.

This was her darkened form, and also the power Trigon had given her, allowing her to tap into the power of Trigon's bloodline within her. But the price was that she could fall into darkness and lose consciousness at any moment.

This was the limit of what she could control.
