Chapter 71 - chapter 72 : stranger indeed

The Supreme Elder suddenly appeared in a vast hall covered by scar and dust

The hall itself was so wide it felt like two mountains placed side by side together

Itself

Inside there stood a large jade thrones, surrounded by a blue barrier that shimmered faintly in the air.

Torches were placed along the edges of the jade thrones, their light flickering softly against the cold stone.

Behind the jade palace, a massive spiderweb stretched across the wall. A key could be seen and was trapped within it, wrapped tightly as though sealed for eternity.

The Supreme Elder looked up with a disdain epressison .

A wooden sign hung above him by tied torn rope covered by deep mark across it surface

There written on the sign :

[The Mortal Ruler once created this place to rule the mortal world. Yet, upon discovering something far more mystical—the Nine Heavens and its admired realms—he abandoned the mortal world to seek after what he thought what was his true home ]

[ Written by father of all humanity ]

The Supreme Elder stroked his beard.

"This is the second base of the Mortal Ruler. My sect discovered it long ago time ago I only came here sometimes but I find it strange there is a Barrie covering the othere side ? ."

"We tried to uncover more about him, but this place is only a resting ground—where he once called himself the king of the world."

He sighed.

"And yet the throne remains sealed by a barrier. Whatever lies within… is no longer of use."

His eyes turned cold.

"But this place… is hide so many secrete it better not to reveals it to any othere sect ! "

He stepped forward and there stood a jade gate covered by crack the crack itself where covered by light as the surpeme elder push the jade gate wide open

A strong gust of wind hit his face.

Making his beard fluttering in the wind

Beyond the gate lay a vast field of grass, filled with bushes and bamboo trees swaying gently in the wind

But suddenly—

His vision cut sharply.

Two Figures appeared—cultivators from different sects. As there stood a few meter before him

The Hidden Flame Sect and the Iron East Sect surpeme elder .

The Hidden Flame Sect leader was a brown-skinned man wearing simple garments and sandals. His beard was cleanly shaved, but his presence was strong and disciplined.

Beside him stood the Iron East Sect leader—a young man with messy black hair, dressed in a blue-white robe.

"Ahh, good morning, Supreme Elder!"

"Yes, good morning. We came here to visit and speak with you—"

The Supreme Elder interrupted them.

"Save those words. I already know you sent spies into my sect."to even think you found the mortal ruler base say enought about you aready traitor !

The Hidden Flame Sect leader's face turned pale as he scratched his head awkwardly.

"Hahaha… you got us."Opa

Then his expression darkened.

"And how did you find out we send immortal to investigate you guys ? "

The Supreme Elder stepped down the stairs and closed the gate behind him, locking it with a bronze key. As he placed it into his pocket.

"We also sent spies into your sect. We already knew everything you were doing."

The Iron East Sect leader frowned.

Stupidity supreme elder indeed

As he wave his sleeve in disdain

"Even if you try to hide the truth about the Renewal Awakening, we will eventually found out ! "

The Supreme Elder sighed and crossed his arms.

"So what do you want?"

The Iron East Sect leader gave a faint smile.

"We would like to join the war with you."

"Not happening."

"Huh?"

The Supreme Elder looked at them with disdain.

"You two are too important. What happens if I die? Who will lead Immortal Continent?"

"My rivals in Empire Continent would laugh if I brought you both into battle."

"I would rather die in battle than leave my continent without leadership."

The Iron East Sect leader clenched his teeth.

"Supreme Elder, with all due respect, I still request to join the war!"

"You will not even set foot in that region."and perhaps the region would even collapse when I set foot on there

Even the Hidden Flame Sect leader's expression darkened.

"What do you mean?"

The Supreme Elder shook his head.

"You are both just trying to gain influence for your sects."trying to get stronger don't you ?

The Iron East Sect leader's aura exploded.

"You're just afraid!"

The Supreme Elder smiled.

"Afraid? Of what

As the surpeme elder of iron east sect retord back

It because you want to get the killed for renewal stupid fool !

The surpeme elder laught

Ahahaha Then take my tenth attack if you dare."then I would allowed you to join the war with me !

"I accept."

Suddenly, energy surged.

Around the battle field

"Sparking Light Force Artifact!"

A burst of golden light exploded into the air as a wheel of energy formed, spinning rapidly. Golden torrents erupted outward as it rushed toward the Supreme Elder.

The iron east sect surpeme elder sneered

Take this attack if you-

But the surpeme elder He simply patted his stomach.

"Not bad."

"Let's see if you can survive this."

The surpeme elder leader raised his hand.

"Drum of Pure Will Liberation!"

Even the Hidden Flame Sect leader's eyes widened.

"That's his fourth strongest artifact… even I would only survive by luck."

The Supreme Elder suddenly moved.his hair turning messy and fluttering in the wind

He struck his fist into the air.

As crack appeared around the air with a gust of wind

BOOM!

A shockwave exploded outward, cracking the space itself.

He pounced forward, and a massive pressure descended like a mountain.

The Iron East Sect leader was forced to his knees as the ground shattered beneath him.

As would appeared on his hand as blood gush out from then as he try yelling out but was sent flying likens cannobal !

The golden torrent was crushed mid-air by overwhelming force, releasing a deafening sonic boom.

The Supreme Elder sighed in disappointment.

"This is my win."

He turned away, releasing his aura.

The Iron East Sect leader trembled in disbelief.

As he stood up wave his head in pure Terro

"What kind of monster… are you?"

The Hidden Flame Sect leader looked even shaken himself .

They both realized it clearly now—

They were never close to his level.

Not even in the same world.

The Supreme Elder spoke coldly:

"Leave. Return to your sects. Prepare for the ceremony."

"If you interfere again… I will not be merciful."

As before I might even -

The two sect leaders didn't dare hesitate … then there slowly retreated into the sky, disappearing like distant dots.

The Supreme Elder exhaled.

"I came here hoping to found meaning to this mortal world ! But two idiot have to just ruin it …"

"It seems I was too early."

To begin with

Then—

A sound came from beneath the ground.

BOOM!

Grass and soil exploded upward as a figure rose from below.

A old man in a blue silk garment, wearing a headband, floated into the air with a relaxed smile.

"Oh, little brat… it's been two years since we last met."

The Supreme Elder stroked his beard.

"It's been two days currently idiot . We always do this."

The surpeme elder smirked.

"Are you coming with us?"

The man expression turned serious.

He was known as Sun Plat—the Supreme Leader of the second strongest clan and a healer immortal. Loved by many, feared by some…

Feared by some… and deeply unpredictable.

But to the Supreme Elder—

He was his third master.

His favorite teacher.

The old man smiled faintly.

"So… you've come again to ." talk about the Mortal Ruler's base?" Supreme elder !

The Supreme Elder nodded.

"Yes. But we can discuss that later."

First let go and talk about the war

He bowed slightly, cupping his fist.

"Would you accompany me?"

The old man sighed, glancing away as if weighing something heavy.

"If I go… it means leaving my clan behind. But for a disciple like you…"

A small smile formed on his lips.

"I am willing to do anything."

The Supreme Elder's eyes lit up with rare excitement.

He bowed deeper.

"This disciple will never forget your kindness for a thousand years."

The old man waved his hand.

"Hahaha… you idiot. This is what friends are for."

He looked up at the sky.

"Come. Let us prepare for what comes next."

The Grand War Hall

The Grand War Hall was a hidden chamber deep within the Zhou Lian Sect, reserved only for matters of war.

Inside, countless stone tables were arranged in formation, each one carved with ancient symbols.

This was where the Supreme Elder of the Zhou Lian Sect gathered the war forces.

The Force Sect was divided into ten ranks—from Tenth to First.

They served as his second strongest army.

The strongest army, however, was the Gu Yin Sect—directly under Zhou Lian himself.

Together, they formed the backbone of the Immortal Continent's military power.

One by one, commanders entered the hall.

They knelt and cupped their fists.

"Supreme Elder, thank you for allowing us to attend!"

The Supreme Elder sat at the highest seat, overlooking them all.

Beside him sat the leader of the second strongest clan, silent but observing everything carefully.

While holding his chin

The atmosphere was heavy.

As second forece appeared

Wei ton and Mo Qing with there second forece sat at various table

All looking tense

Third forece enter as the leader gave Wei ton a weird smile

As he sat down with the rest of third force

Fourth forece to six forece appeared sitting at there table but strangely

Seven to ten force didn't appeared

Then—

The Supreme Elder pulled away a cloth covering the white wall.

Behind it revealed a massive glass-like screen, glowing faintly with spiritual energy.

His voice turned cold.

"Prepare for war."

"We begin strategic operations immediately."

The hall went silent.

Wei Ton and the leader of the Second Force both stiffened. Even Mo Qing's expression darkened.

Something was wrong.

A war of this scale… meant death was inevitable.

Mo Qing suddenly hear a voice above his head ,

"This battle… it will not go in our favor, will it?"

From the shadows above—

A calm voice echoed.

"?"

Everyone froze.

As footstep could be hear above them

Step… step… step…

Footsteps echoed from the ceiling.

Then—

A young man appeared, standing upside down on the ceiling as if gravity meant nothing.

He wore a red robe, straw sandals, and a straw hat that tilted slightly forward. His hand rested lightly on the brim as he looked down at them with a faint smirk.

"Hello, Immortal Continent."

Silence.

Cold pressure filled the hall instantly.

Wei Ton's eyes sharpened.

"Enemy…!"

The air itself began to tremble.

Two Days Earlier

High within the frozen mountains, an ice peak stood sealed for thousands of years.

Inside, the second Supreme Elder rested his hand against the surface of the ancient ice.

He looked back calmly.

"So… my ancestors truly took care of you, taking care of your soul for a something far ancient

He closed his eyes.

"If that's the case… then we are joining the war of region continen

Suddenly—

The entire ice mountain began to shake violently.

Cracks spread across its surface.

Then—

It lifted into the air.

Slowly at first… then faster.

The massive mountain shrank in size, compressing until it became no larger than a grain of dust.

It shot into his spirit realm and vanished.

The scribe Supreme Elder smiled softly and rose into the sky.

"Let's go."
