Ana's POV
Julio grabbed his juice with obvious irritation, his face twisted in frustration as he took a sharp gulp.
Relief washed over me after Edwin's words lifted the weight from my shoulders.
The way he was beaming made it pretty clear his marriage was hitting all the right notes lately.
That probably explains why he's being so lenient with me today.
Fighting back my curiosity, I turned to Edwin. "Is there something else you need to tell me?"
He nodded and slid an invitation from the Melody family across to me. "This belongs to you."
I opened it and spotted my name printed inside.
Blinking in confusion, I looked up. "They're inviting me? Why would they do that?"
The thought of Althea crossed my mind, and I found myself wavering before I spoke again. 'Maybe it's because I helped Althea that time?' I wondered silently.
'No, that doesn't make sense. Althea hasn't reached out lately—I figured Jaylen banned her from contacting me. So why this sudden invitation?'
