Eventually, I managed to kick Morris out of my office.
He was just too restless and kept disrupting my workflow.
Seriously, how does anyone accomplish anything with Morris hovering around? I couldn't help but sigh internally, already sensing a migraine building from his relentless shenanigans.
Time flew by, and Edward Melody' birthday celebration was approaching fast.
I'd already completed the custom outfit and delivered it to Carly well ahead of schedule.
On the surface, our previous clash hadn't seemed to damage our business relationship.
But underneath, only Carly and I understood—there was now an invisible tension stretching between us.
Before the party, Morris was eager to assist me and arrange for a styling team.
But I simply smiled and informed him, "Edwin's already handled it for me."
Morris's disappointment was almost tangible. From the look on his face, I could tell he felt redundant around here now.
