Weddings were meant to be the beginning of forever, filled with love and promises that would last a lifetime.
Instead, this felt like the opening chapter of a nightmare painted in blood and secrets. The image of what happened to Bobby stayed burned into my memory, and I knew Jefferson would demand retribution for tonight's events. When Jefferson sought vengeance, nothing in this world could stand in his way.
I exhaled slowly as we escorted the final guests toward the exits, working hard to convince them that everything would be fine. Gordon caught my eye briefly, his expression impossible to read, before disappearing into the night without a word.
Only the four of us remained now. Alana, Nadia, Javier, and myself.
