You can skip backstory its not so important
Hakju wasn't the kind of kid people noticedunless they needed someone to push around.
Quiet, a bit skinny, he walked through school like a shadow. The bullying started small: a shove in the hallway, a wallet thrown across the classroom, whispers that he was "too weak to breathe." But it grew worse as the months dragged on.
Hakju stopped telling teachers. Stopped telling his parents. He simply endured it, believing that if he stayed silent long enough, they would eventually lose interest.
They didn't. (Genius lol)
One rainy afternoon, cornered behind the science building, Hakju took the worst beating of his life
. The bullies laughed as he struggled to stand with trembling legs. When he got home, battered and humiliated,
he stared at his reflection and felt something Strange
not anger,
not hatred,
but a burning need to never be powerless again.
The next day after school, Hakju found an old gym. It was dim, small, ignored by most people but the sound of fists hitting leather echoed through the doorway like a heartbeat.
He stepped inside not expecting Miracle but he wanted to get stronger
The owner, an ex-boxer named Mr. Ryu,(that old man as I call him)
took one look at Hakju's bruises and didn't ask questions.
"Hit the bag," he said.
Hakju did. Weakly at first, then harder, then harder still.
Day after day, Hakju returned. His hands blistered. His arms shook. His lungs burned.
But he kept going.
Mr. Ryu quickly noticed something unusual.
Hakju was a natural talent. He picked up combinations after seeing them once or twice. He analyzed opponents' movements instantly.
He wasn't just learning boxing
he was mastering it.
Slowly, the bruises faded.
Hakju wasn't weak now, he rised up to level he could only dream of before
And that's how some time later
When the bullies tried to corner him again, Hakju wasn't the same boy.
He didn't lash out first.
He warned them.
They laughed.
Then they Started.
Hakju moved like a shadow, slipping punches, striking with precision. One by one, they dropped. He wanted to make them will pain, he destroyed them
Word spread fast, The loser had become a monster
The gym changed his life for better....atleast that was the thing he thought
At the gym, Hakju met Jinseo loudmouthed, cheerful guy who became his first real friend. Jinseo believed in Hakju more than anyone ever had. They trained together, joked, just like a best friends
For the first time in years, Hakju felt something warm and unfamiliar
peace.
But peace doesn't last in a cruel world like a lookism this gangism shit really something else ngl
A local gang, humiliated after Hakju beat asses of their members (one of his bullies was in that gang)
And the gang wanted revenge. Hakju wasn't there when they came looking....but Jinseo was.
Jinseo tried to talk them down.
Tried to protect hakju
They beat shit out of him anyway....but they went to far.....
When Hakju found Jinseo's body in the alley behind the gym, it was lifeless.
something inside him shattered... He had enough
