Samuel's house was in a high end area in Landon. Everyone knows he is rich because his dad is a professional auralancer. His dad, Samson Bennett plays for Lake United, a second division team in the Prime league.
Kael was admiring every part of the house. This is the first time he came here. 'Even the floor of their hallway is enough to feed my family for a few years.'
George wasn't really fazed as his family was okay and he has been to places.
"Let's head to my bedroom, the holopanel is there. We can rest on the bed and munch on some snacks."
"Linda bring some refreshments to my bedroom for I and my friends."
'This Linda is really too hot to be a maid, now I see why those rumours of private closed door services are flying about.' George has always been jealous of Samuel's lifestyle. 'The rest of us train hard everyday with all our might because of the expectations of our families. But this guy doesn't even put in as much effort, yet he performs better, why is the world so unfair?'
Kael didn't really care about the maid. He only focuses his mind on money as he wants to build a legacy. " Mancestor city are currently on top with a total of 105pts. Arson doesn't stand a chance against them."
"Don't forget that the auralancer with the highest goals is currently Christopher lane, Arson's Starboy." Samuel and Kael started arguing, while George's attention was on the backside of Linda as she headed towards the kitchen.
On getting to the bedroom after coming out of the elevator, they immediately opened the door, jumped on the bed and put on the holopanel.
The match was set for 18:00 and it was currently 17:53
Kael tried to find a comfortable position on the bed. " Mancestor city made it to the semi finals in the AGL, while Arson was eliminated at the round of 16. The difference between them is huge."
"Don't forget who won the league title last season. Besides Arson's loss is justified considering the team they played against." Samuel argued back.
"Mancestor city's auralancers are all in top form. They didn't lose any of their star players at all this season. You can't say the same for Arson who lost two."
"That should be blamed on the manager, those auralancers who died were already tired out. The manager was overusing them, he should have subbed them off."
"That's what you people always do, blame the manager for the performance of his auralancers. So petty."
"Hey guys, the match is about to start." The argument continued till George reminded them.
On the holoscreen, the starting lineup of both clubs was being displayed. The match is being held in Mancestor city's Ethaid stadium. This stadium is one of the largest and most luxurious in the world, it floats in the sky above Mancestor.
"Finally we get to see an epic showdown." Said Kael who came here, instead of going to train like the rest, to analyze the game.
Both team's auralancers filed out, sang the national anthem, shook hands and went to their starting circle.
The referee blew the whistle, and the match started. It is unlike anything you have ever seen. In just 3 seconds, over a 100 attacks has been fired and dodged.
"Andrew seems to be pressuring Christopher, preventing him from making any major moves." The commentator's voice resounded in the stadium.
Andrew had a fire elemental affinity, he kept on firing his signature move, Fiery cross slash at Christopher. The latter had lightning wrapped around him looking like a god of thunder, dodging every projectile with ease. His lightning elemental armor, Zeus Armadura, enhancing his strength, speed and other attributes.
With a physique of 9.5, he had access to 76% of his aura. His channelling speed at 0.15secs, he was unstoppable. Constantly drawing in the air with his hands to create electric bees, which fire themselves forward at the opponent, with their stingers facing the enemy.
The bees crossed the 50meters between the circles in 0.56secs, constantly putting their targets under pressure.
"Mancestor city is fortunate to have Patrick. With his special gun, which he formed with his metal element, he has one of the fastest channelling speed. It's because of him that Mancestor city is still able to survive till now." Said Samuel in a mocking tone.
"Just wait and see, Mancestor are on top for a reason." Kael replied.
Two minutes later, Christopher retreated into the middle of his team's formation.
Mancestor city were finally able to make some progress by eliminating two of Arson's auralancers. The men dodged too wide. This happened just 3 seconds after Christopher retreated.
Everyone thought that Mancestor will be able to use this advantage to score a goal. But Christopher retreated to channel a stronger spell , the two men were sacrificial lambs.
Firing his golden lightning at them, Timothy fell on the floor, dead. The Mancestor city's auralancer who is currently among the top twenty highest scorers was penetrated by the lightning in the head. His armor proving to be ineffective against the golden lightning. Mancestor city's manager, Richard Hale, looked glum.
With that, Arson scored a goal. Arson's fans, reaching up to a hundred thousand in the stadium, all cheered for Christopher.
"I told you, beware of Christopher. That guy is one of the very best." Samuel rejoiced over Arson's current lead.
"Half time isn't yet up, it's just 1-0, Mancestor city can still win, so don't jubilate too early."
Richard substituted in Simon Barrett to replace Timothy. As per the rules, if an auralancer dies, they can get replaced, but in the case of elimination by crossing white circle of light, no substitution is allowed.
The game continued till the referee blew the whistle for half time. Auralancers went to the sidelines to get vitalis, in order to heal their injuries. Especially Louis on Arson's side, he had already lost the left part of his chest. They rested for 10 mins, while planning new formations.
"You may think that Arson is in the lead, but that are actually at a disadvantage now." Kael said.
"How? If you are talking about the fact that we are two man down, then let me tell you this. Christopher alone can stand against five."
"Haha, just wait and see." Kael replied.
" That is what you said the last time, yet we immediately scored a point." Samuel retorted.
Kael said, " The next 30 mins of the second half will show you why I could score 35 goals in 27 appearances."
The second half started, both teams exchanged circles, and with the sound of the whistle, started firing at each other faster like humanoid machine guns.
Christopher released a storm cloud from his hands which floated above Mancestor city's auralancers. With every downward swing of his arm, lightning would strike down at them. Andrew and some exceptional auralancers with fast reflexes, speed and agility dodged the lightning which poured down at a speed of 82m/s with ease. But the others were facing troubles, this caused a disruption in their formation.
Dominic from Mancestor city fired a freeze ray at it, effectively destroying it and restoring some calm so they could assemble their formation which was scattered by the dangerous storm cloud.
They suddenly became more aggressive and reckless, pressuring Arson. Taking advantage, Patrick formed a sniper rifle and fired a shot at Peter, who just dodged an earth spear by taking advantage of the speed granted by his wind elemental armor and was busy preparing a wind blade. The bullet passed through his heart. It didn't stop there, Andrew successfully hit Harvey, burning his chest. Harvey's water elemental armor couldn't negate the damage.
This put Mancestor city in the lead. Mancestor city's fans were delighted with what they were seeing on the scoreboard, a bold 2-1.
"Yes, nice tactics, amazing performance, I knew I supported the right club." Kael was waving his hands in the air. Samuel looked unaffected, "Christopher will not relent in his efforts, expect more goals from him."
With that , Arson lost a man which was immediately replaced by the manager. Harvey looked like he could still play on but the manger also substituted him.Mancestor city put themselves in the lead but not without a cost.
Due to their reckless and aggressive attacks, plenty of their auralancers suffered various degrees of injuries. The only reason they can keep on playing is due to their amazing physique.
Richard seeing the state of his auralancers, also made some changes, bringing in fresh auralancers.
"With this, both clubs has used up the ten substitutions they are allowed to make. Mancestor is still holding their player advantage." Kael analysed.
Both clubs went at each other's throat throughout the entire 30mins of the second half. No one died again, with the match ending 2-1.
" This was a close and tough match. Both teams showed excellent dodging speed."
"Manager Richard, nice performance today, what can you tell us about the tactics employed today by your team."asked the reporter.
"No comments."replied Richard.
Patrick got the man of the match award for successfully reversing their unfortunate circumstances.
"It seems I was right, Mancestor city won the game." Kael said.
" It doesn't matter, I don't really like Arson that much anyways." Samuel replied. " George what is your opinion of today's match?"
"Huh, where did he go?" There were both surprised to find George missing. Suddenly they heard a scream coming from kitchen downstairs.
