I had asked the elderly shaman for permission to enter her residence and rest for a moment.

Villagers typically didn't own books, but high-ranking officials were an exception. As it turned out, the elderly shaman was also the Village Chief.

From the very start, this entire simulation had been a scam.

Not every problem follows a linear path.

Isn't it suspicious when the "solution" is presented to you so neatly, right at the beginning?

But what do you do when you don't trust the system, yet can't form a proper answer either?

Naturally, you cheat.

And I intended to cheat in a way that remained within the rules of the game.

With that decision made, I left the residence while carrying the Code of Conduct and walked toward the area where the three suspects were held under close surveillance.

Everyone was present: the Priestess, the Ranger, and the Village Chief.

The Village Chief stepped forward.
