The rogue's words still rang in my head, and as much as I tried to process it, none of it made any sense. Rogues didn't run away from their target. If anything, they acted recklessly, without even reasoning. They didn't shake in fear after they had successfully kidnapped someone. For as long as I've known the rogues, they were merciless and cruel but this man wasn't just scared, he was broken. It was like he had seen what he wasn't supposed to see and it terrified him.
And I needed to know why and what happened that made him act this way.
I slowly took a step towards him, and I clenched my fists angrily. "What do you mean by she changed?" My voice was low and calm but I was so close to lashing out on him and everyone around, including Logan.
