Togata ignores him and stands there.
''I'm surprised you didn't drown. So you actually came to the fight huh? So I'm guessing you think you can beat me about now with the power of friendship or some cringe stuff like that''. Dark Togata says ready to fight.
But Togata remains still staring into the air, his body wet with the water like substance.
''I told ya! Don't ignore me!''. Dark Togata shouts as he lunges forward.
''This....This is all in my head isn't it?''. Togata says calmly as he snaps his fingers.
Suddenly Dark Togata is thrown back and the terrain changes again to a peaceful meadow, Togata sees his younger self running around with his parents and Tick.
''The terrain has always reflected my state of mind. This is much better''. Togata says with a smile.
''This....This is what I've always wanted but, life wasn't so good to me. I don't totally regret that night, on the contrary it made me who I was, and it gave me Tick, I could never regret that''. Togata says with a smile. ''And you know, life has a way of giving back, this feels nice, fighting aliens with my new friends''.
''The hell you on about?''. Dark Togata says unmoved.
''You, you're not Death are you? I've seen him and he looks pretty chill I don't think he has anything to do with this, after we dealt with him the first time it would make sense he would leave me alone, but then I thought he came in the form of you, but you're not him are you? You're me, like you've been saying all this time''. Togata explains.
''Nice you finally figured it out''. Dark Togata says readying his weapon.
Togata snaps his fingers again and his scythe disappears. ''Yeah, took me a while huh? I was wrong, but I wasn't totally incorrect, you are me but, not me, you're my subconscious aren't you?''. Togata says as he walks closer to him.
''Death said he would give me a part of him, and that would be you, the perfect Death - Togata mix, a perfection of my 'dark' side, it brought out everything bad in me, every fear, all my bad thoughts, even that 'vision' of me hurting my friends was all in my head. Basically you're the side effect of this power. But here I was fighting against you, so you manifested yourself in a physical form in my head, the culmination of all my self doubts, makes sense that you could access my memories''. Togata explains.
''Damn we're smart aren't we, so what you're gonna just make me disappear now? Psh, like I'm scared, you win congrats''. Dark Togata says.
''No''. Togata replies.
''Huh?''. Dark Togata asks confused.
''Like you said, fight against yourself and you'll drown, I have to accept myself you know, all the good and the bad, you are me, everyone has good and bad in them, and you're that bad, my shadow, but when there's darkness there's light''. Togata smiles.
''You think this is it? I'll always be there you can't just push me into the background''. Dark Togata says trying to raise doubts.
''I don't plan to, but the thing is, here I was trying to protect my friends, I guess it was part of my huge ego as Aira says, I thought this power made me some sort of 'dangerous god' or something. I thought I would hurt them but the truth is, my friends are total badasses they could kick the living dayshits out of me''. Togata says with a laugh. ''And that's what I love, they don't need me to protect them, if anything happens we can face it together''.
Dark Togata calms down. ''Damn it so we're really ending it off with this corny shit are we? Ugh! We had such cool fights couldn't we just go back to that!?''.
''Nope''. Togata says with a smile with outstretched arms bracing for a hug. ''I have to accept myself, I love myself, I am important!''.
Dark Togata cuts him off. ''UGHH! Nah bro shut it''.
Togata just laughs as he goes in and hugs him.
Dark Togata stiffens at first, then relaxes when Togata pulls him into a hug.
For a second, Dark Togata doesn't move. But then he speaks out. ''Huh?''.
He lets out a short laugh. ''Damn, didn't see that coming. Can't believe you made me hug. I'm gonna kill everything and everyone the second I get the chance''.
Togata's grip tightens just a little.
He leans in and bites into Dark Togata's shoulder, teeth pressing just enough to be felt.
''Ouch what the!". Dark Togata shouts.
Suddenly Togata releases the hug and kicks him in the nuts causing him to fall the ground.
Dark Togata groans in pain. ''UGH FU...''.
''That's payback for kicking my ass and enjoying it when you've got all the experience idiot''. Togata says with a smile.
''A bite and a kick to the nuts? Man.....You had to make it weird didn't you''. Dark Togata says with a dark smile still holding his balls. ''I guess now we're even''. Dark Togata sighs.
''How long do you think you can keep this up, the boss man won't like this one bit you know? What you gonna do when he tells you to do something against what you stand for, he's done it before and it's gonna happen again''. Dark Togata says.
''I'll swim''. Togata says.
''Huh?''. Dark Togata.
Togata just stands there with a smile. ''With my allies by my side. My problems won't drown me, I'll just keep swimming, swimm...''.
Dark Togata cuts him off. ''Just kill me already''.
Togata laughs as he bends down and seems to suck the life force out of Dark Togata as he turns to dust and what's left is only his cloak and scythe.
Togata picks it up and puts on the cloak, as he transforms partway Tick's transformation and partway Death form, his mask now becoming a permanent grin outside the hood.
Suddenly a gravestone appears where Dark Togata once stood.
''Here lies my hesitation, weakness, doubt, the part of me that could still lose''. Togata says with his mask forming his new devilish grin.
''Rest in irrelevance''. Togata says as he looks down at it and disappears from the meadow.
