A golden light subtly emanated from the palm covering the old man's wound. This light seeped into the man's body, rapidly repairing his internal injuries. Damaged organs and extensive internal bleeding were swiftly mended, leaving only the bullet lodged within him.
This was to account for any hospital examinations, as someone in the crowd had already called for an ambulance. If the paramedics arrived and discovered the old man's unusual condition, it could raise suspicions about his true identity.
It wasn't a good thing for the old man either.
The old man, who was already starting to lose consciousness, gradually regained clarity, though he didn't seem to understand the situation.
"What happened to me? I remember that guy shot me?"
