Chapter 152 - Using Skill to Overcome Strength, a Deadly Situation

"You're talking too much. If I were you, I'd have run a long time ago. Trust me, I can handle these things. You'll just get in the way if you stay here." Zhou Yi nudged Jill with his shoulder, sending her stumbling slightly.

Jill looked at him with a mixture of surprise and doubt, but she didn't take a step. Unless absolutely necessary, she really didn't want to abandon her companion and escape alone. She had already lost a companion once and didn't want to lose another.

"Go! Do you want to die here? Don't forget what you have to do," Zhou Yi roared, his voice like thunder. Jill shuddered at the sound, and ultimately made her choice between duty and personal feelings.

Staggering, she ran towards the side of the street. Although her back looked unsteady and frail, she never looked back.

Watching Jill's figure gradually disappear from sight, a strange smile appeared on Zhou Yi's face. No one would see the deep marks under those Hunter's huge claws, marks that were no longer caused by them. Instead, it was the trace left by a much stronger force pressing down on their bodies.

This was also the reason why those Hunters would allow a food item, in their eyes, to just walk away. Zhou Yi's Telekinesis had been suppressing their bodies, making them unable to move. Naturally, they didn't have the ability to chase their prey.

And after Jill left, it was hard to say who the prey would be.

Releasing his hold on the few Hunters, Zhou Yi looked at these restless monsters and the guy walking over step by step with his Vulcan Cannon, smiled slightly, and shook the short sword in his hand.

Nano-Metal immediately extended, and in an instant, a ten-foot-long spear appeared in his hand.

"I still have some time, so I'll play with you guys!"

As soon as he finished speaking, several Hunters pounced on him from all directions, with foot-long claws, sharp fangs, and tongues that flicked like snakes. All of these were deadly weapons, and now the target of these weapons was only one person: Zhou Yi, standing in the middle.

The spear was instantly swung open, like a dancing dragon, and the spearhead flashed, instantly turning into a shower of sparks. You couldn't even see where the spearhead was; all you could see was a mass of flickering light.

The Hunters' bodies froze in mid-air, and a moment later, straight lines of blood appeared on their bodies. Zhou Yi slightly turned his body, avoiding these clumsy brutes. And when they fell to the ground, they immediately shattered into countless pieces.

Pieces that had been cut up, like chunks of meat. Both the limbs and the ferocious heads were separated and, together with the empty torsos, covered every inch of land around Zhou Yi.

He shook the spear in his hand, and the dirty blood dripped from the spearhead. But it couldn't stain the spear in the slightest. The Adamantium spearhead was a real weapon, without a doubt.

"You're really not durable. I haven't even used any strength, and you're already down. So, can you give me some surprises? Big guy!" Zhou Yi looked calmly at the monster holding a weapon in front of him. Through its eyes, he clearly conveyed his disdain and mockery to the guy behind it. And this was obviously very effective.

"Get rid of him, get rid of him. Get rid of him right now! Even if he's dead, it's the same to me, get rid of him immediately!" Raymond roared in anger. He no longer wanted to tolerate Zhou Yi.

The board's order was to capture him alive if possible, but they didn't rule out killing him. They only wanted to seize the wealth in his hands. Even if he died, the devalued stocks could still be taken by them. The board had already come up with a good excuse to solve many problems. A nuclear power plant explosion, within this range, even the richest person would find it hard to escape death, wouldn't they?

His subordinates faithfully carried out his orders, and a message was sent to the T103 Tyrant in front of Zhou Yi. The T103 Tyrant, upon receiving this message, immediately raised the Vulcan Cannon in its hands.

The Vulcan Cannon's firing rate of five thousand rounds per minute could theoretically shred many things, such as light armor, not-so-thick walls, and so on. As for the human body, it was no more resistant than a sheet of paper in front of this brutal weapon.

However, even if Zhou Yi's body wasn't as hard as steel, the spear in his hand wouldn't be pierced by this weapon.

The spear immediately swirled into an impenetrable mass, protecting Zhou Yi completely. The bullets from the Vulcan Cannon splashed against this mass of silver light, producing nothing but a dense shower of sparks.

Raymond stared at everything before him in disbelief, feeling as though his worldview was being overturned. Not just him, but even the few subordinates around him had the same expression. They were dumbfounded, their minds blank.

It wasn't until a flashing red message appeared on the screen that their consciousness was brought back. That was the information that the Vulcan Cannon's ammunition on the Hunter had been exhausted. Seeing this message, Raymond seemed to swallow a mouthful of saliva, then gritted his teeth and shouted.

"Use a Rocket! I don't believe he can even block an explosion!"

The Hunter faithfully executed his order, and without a word, shouldered a Rocket and fired it directly at Zhou Yi. The spear, which had been wielded so tightly, couldn't block the shockwave and high temperature produced by the Rocket's explosion. But who said it had to be blocked?

The spear flicked, catching the incoming Rocket out of thin air. Then, with a casual swing, the Rocket was thrown back the way it came. Before it even landed, it exploded directly over the Hunter's head. Flames and intense heat instantly engulfed the Hunter's body. Although it couldn't destroy it, it did cause it to let out a painful howl.

After all, it was still a living being, not a cold, lifeless weapon. It would feel pain and naturally would scream. However, the screaming didn't last long before it was cut short. A flash of light and shadow pulled away from the raging flames, and slammed directly onto the Hunter's body. The heavy spear, combined with Zhou Yi's force, meant that even this monster, which Umbrella was so proud of, had no hope of survival. In an instant, bones broke and tendons snapped. The imposing, fearsome bio-weapon, with its ghostly appearance, immediately turned into a puddle of unrecognizable goop, sticking to the ground. The flames were still spreading, perhaps igniting the shattered remaining ammunition. In an instant, the fire completely devoured everything, and violent explosions continued to erupt.

Nothing could possibly survive in this situation. Zhou Yi saw it clearly, but Raymond and the others found it hard to understand.

They still didn't know what had happened. They only saw the Rocket inexplicably fly back. Then, it exploded on the Hunter. Next, besides the raging flames, there was only a blurry silver flash. After the flash, there were no more images. There was only one possibility: the Hunter had been completely destroyed.

They didn't believe this could happen, but the reality was that it had. Instruments don't lie, and they were the kind of people who believed in instruments very much.

"Damn it, damn it! What the hell is that thing?" Raymond angrily threw down the object in front of him. The silver flash left him at a loss and filled him with fear. He felt a huge conspiracy, not just against him, but also against Umbrella, which he was a part of.

This was the last thing he wanted to see, because it was highly likely he would lose everything.

"What exactly is that thing? Aren't you experts? Aren't you the best researchers? Tell me what it is, or you're all useless."

Completely enraged, he began to threaten the subordinates around him. They were the operators of the Hunter, as well as the most outstanding researchers. But now, they were just quivering quails under the barrel of his gun.

"Maybe it's the weapon he's holding, that high-tech weapon that looks like a cold weapon." Under Raymond's coercion, some of them began to guess, and then immediately others chimed in to supplement and improve the guesses.

"Stark's energy system, this thing might have adopted it. The thing just now looked a lot like a high-energy field."

"Osborn Industries has been researching exoskeleton armor technology, maybe he has a set. Otherwise, he wouldn't have such great strength."

"The Super Soldier Project. These two companies started working on this project a long time ago, maybe they already have results."

"Have results?" This sentence immediately moved Raymond's heart. He stopped paying attention to these nonsensical guys and began to mutter to himself. "No less than our research results, this is a good thing. With this, maybe there will be a good opportunity."

"Issue the order. Modify the T02 Tyrant's directive. Primary target: Jill Valentine. Since that man cares so much about this beautiful policewoman, we might as well use her for a deal, a deal that's a win-win."

As Raymond sank into his own fevered delusions, something like this was happening on the outskirts of Raccoon City.

A black steel wall firmly blocked the path of all the city's residents, bringing them to a complete halt. Faced with this enormous wall, the citizens despaired. The U.B.C.S. Mercenaries escorting these citizens despaired, and even the police despaired; they had no way out.

The low growls from a distance reached their ears clearly, driving them completely mad. Some had already started trying to climb the wall, but the steel wall offered no purchase. Others wanted to threaten the people on the wall to open it, but no one paid them any attention.

The Umbrella soldiers on the wall just silently aimed their guns at those below. They didn't care whether their targets were human or zombies. They only cared about the orders they received.

"Go back, return to the city. Otherwise, we will open fire," the broadcast echoed repeatedly, making it clear to all the survivors below.

You have been abandoned, abandoned by Umbrella. Your only fate is to perish with this city.

Having torn off its false mask, Umbrella revealed a hideous face. For these people who must die, they no longer needed to pretend.

The wails began to rise from the crowd, one after another. Facing the fate of death, many people completely broke down.
