Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 Ninjutsu: Flame Flower Scattering

This time, having learned his lesson, he approached from the ground, keeping his limbs close to avoid any accidents by using the ground for leverage.

Unfortunately, facing Ling's superb performance and precise design, how could these supporting characters dare to steal the show?

Gennō didn't know if Ling was nervous, but his heart was in his throat.

As if sensing Gennō's tension, Ling decided to amp up the intensity, feigning panic and retreating a few steps.

He stepped directly onto the front leg of a wolf corpse, lost his balance, and fell to the ground, the bloodthirsty glint in the eyes of the two giant wolves growing even more intense.

They pounced without hesitation onto Ling's 'helpless and weak' body, their gaping maws even showing strands of saliva stretched between their fangs.

Ling was carrying Gennō on his back, so Gennō didn't notice that Ling's expression at this moment was not that of someone facing death.

Ling's Sharingan spun in his eyes, trapping one of the large gray wolves in a genjutsu, causing it to be the first to pounce on Ling.

And the Kunai in Ling's hand, as if by chance, happened to be held upright, aimed at the giant wolf's heart, and as the giant wolf pounced, the Kunai pierced through the gaps in its ribs, directly impaling its heart.

The moment Ling was pounced on, Gennō had already used Body Flicker Technique to attack, kicking away the other wild wolf, then lifting the giant wolf off Ling and throwing it away.

Gennō's actions seemed to cause the Wolf King to misjudge, and coupled with Ling's brilliant performance earlier, it believed that only Gennō posed a threat.

So, more than a dozen giant wolves charged at Gennō, while the Wolf King lurked at the back, condensing Chakra in its mouth, preparing to strike at the opportune moment like a sly old fox.

Gennō's Taijutsu was excellent; he easily fended off the attacking giant wolves with just his fists and feet, completely at ease with his superb footwork, no giant wolf could get close enough to attack him.

Ling had already stood outside the battlefield, observing Gennō's Taijutsu with his Sharingan, copying some exquisite movements to supplement his own Taijutsu moves.

Most of the ordinary giant wolves that were sent flying suffered broken bones, or were directly knocked unconscious, losing their combat ability and left on the ground howling.

Finally, the Wolf King couldn't hold back anymore; if it didn't release its Chakra attack soon, there would be no chance to strike once its subordinates were cleared out.

So, while Gennō was jumping to stomp a giant wolf to death and then preparing to backflip to dodge a side attack, the Wolf King unleashed its long-condensed attack.

This Wolf King also didn't know any Chakra shape or nature transformation; what it spat out was merely a highly compressed ball of Chakra.

The difference from Rasengan was that the Chakra within this thing had almost no rapid, irregular movement.

Due to its high compression, the Chakra inside this Chakra ball was almost in a static state, but because of the compression, it still possessed considerable destructive power.

Although it couldn't compare to a Rasengan with the same amount of Chakra, it was still comparable to the power of a C-rank Ninjutsu.

Ling observed the condensation process of this compressed Chakra orb and found it to have many merits.

Because a Chakra orb compressed to this extent, yet able to maintain its integrity without exploding and remain stable in flight for a period, was truly remarkable.

Perhaps the principles within it could be applied to the Rasengan; in the Hokage series, most people's Rasengan attacks were close-range and could not leave the user's palm.

By the Boruto era, due to the protagonist's halo, a Rasengan that could be detached and made invisible was created, and Ling also desired such an orb.

Ling noticed that this compressed Chakra orb seemed to possess such stability due to a special Chakra arrangement structure.

Although Chakra has cohesiveness, this property is not very pronounced.

This special Chakra structure was like first condensing different proportions of Chakra into various ribbon-like strands, and then interweaving them to form this Chakra sphere.

Such a structure greatly inspired Ling; almost many spherical Ninjutsu could apply this principle to enhance their stability.

This discovery was enough of a reward for Ling's performance this time; no wonder the ancients said to imitate heaven and earth and nature; it truly did not deceive him.

Facing this powerful Chakra orb, Gennō also twisted his body in mid-air after a backflip, then turned upside down towards the giant wolves, preparing to unleash a Ninjutsu.

It seemed he had long been on guard against the Wolf King's attack; the backflip just now was to give the Wolf King an opportunity to attack.

Noticing that Gennō was about to use a Ninjutsu, Ling prepared to freeload another one.

"Ninjutsu: Blazing Sun Flower Scatter!"

Ling confidently observed this Ninjutsu; generally, a Ninjutsu would not be a single-attribute Ninjutsu.

They usually involve either composite attributes or techniques related to Yang Release or Yin Release.

And this Ninjutsu, which only had about ten hand signs, first involved fire-attribute Chakra, and upon closer inspection, it seemed to also utilize Summoning Technique.

Gennō first summoned some metal and wooden mechanical parts, and on these parts, Exploding Tags were set using the Exploding Tag Concealment Technique.

He then exhaled a stream of flames, just like Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Claw Red, to imbue these parts with fire damage.

Unlike Phoenix Flower Claw Red, these mechanical parts would violently explode when the Fire Release ignited the Exploding Tags, simultaneously blasting out the metal parts like a fragmentation grenade.

Its power was indeed much greater than Phoenix Flower Claw Red; the Shuriken of Phoenix Flower Claw Red couldn't explode, at most they would be scorching hot, making them only slightly more powerful than ordinary Shuriken.

Unfortunately, even though Ling used his Sharingan to record the hand signs and release principles of this Ninjutsu, it would be difficult for him to use it.

Firstly, Ling didn't know Summoning Technique, nor did he have such mechanical parts, and he didn't have Exploding Tags to waste.

Therefore, he could only learn from the concepts of these Ninjutsu, to draw upon them when creating his own Ninjutsu in the future.

The flame-imbued mechanical parts quickly encountered the compressed Chakra orb spat out by the Wolf King.

Several of the central mechanical parts collided with the compressed Chakra orb, and both simultaneously underwent violent explosions.

The mechanical parts exploded due to the Exploding Tags within them, with damage coming from the shattered and scattered wooden and metal parts.

The Chakra orb exploded because its stable structure was destroyed, causing the compressed Chakra to be suddenly released, creating a blast effect similar to an air cannon.

The power of both was roughly similar, but the splash radius of Ninjutsu: Blazing Sun Flower Scatter was much larger.

Meanwhile, the few metal parts on the periphery that were not intercepted quickly reached the Wolf King, and by then, it was too late for him to escape.

Even though he had deployed a large amount of Chakra on his body for defense, he was still blasted away.

The scattered metal parts pierced and shattered trees within a twenty-meter radius.

The gray wolves that had not died were all severely wounded by this attack, with several metal parts embedded in their bodies.
