"Damn it!"
Giran rubbed his face and stood back up.
"Kid, you're really making me mad! Watch this!"
He swung a massive hook punch.
Goku charged in again, blocked with his left arm,
and drove his right fist into Giran's stomach.
Giran groaned, clutching his belly.
Goku gave him no break.
He darted behind, grabbed Giran's tail, spun him around—
then slammed him into the floor.
WHAM!
The impact echoed through the whole arena.
The referee was stunned.
"Wow! Son Goku's strength is unbelievable!
He's so small, and he just swung that huge Giran around and smashed him into the tiles!"
Goku looked at Giran on the ground.
Giran's mouth twitched a few times.
Before the referee could even start counting, he stood up again.
Goku blinked and raised his stance.
But in the next second, Giran surrendered outright.
The referee announced, "Son Goku wins!"
Krillin and Chi-Chi cheered wildly.
"Goku, you're amazing!"
"You won in just a few moves!"
Chi-Chi sighed admiringly.
"You barely spent any effort.
Unlike me—I fought Namu with everything I had."
Goku smiled lightly.
"It's different. Namu was much stronger than Giran."
Chi-Chi's eyes sparkled again.
"Goku, you're incredible. You could tell that too."
Goku chuckled awkwardly. Chi-Chi was praising him again.
If he got smug, he'd just look silly.
He'd been around kids for so long he was starting to feel like one himself.
Watching Goku win so easily, Jackie Chun couldn't help wiping sweat.
"This kid… he hasn't even used much stamina yet.
Am I really going to lose to my own student?"
Soon the referee announced the result:
"After intense battles, the top four are decided!
Jackie Chun, Krillin, Chi-Chi, and Son Goku!
Let's congratulate them!"
Applause thundered.
Bulma looked at the finalists and shrugged helplessly.
"Seriously… Master Roshi and his three students took all four spots.
This tournament might as well just be a family fight."
She tilted her head at Goku.
"But Roshi really thought ahead.
He didn't want them getting arrogant,
so he entered himself to show them there's always someone stronger.
He may be a pervert,
but he's a truly qualified teacher."
The crowd stared at one old man and three kids, all with strange expressions.
"Top four… an old man and three children. What a sight!"
"I heard they're all Roshi's students!"
"Master Roshi is incredible!"
"Three disciples in the top four—Martial Arts God indeed!"
Hearing the praise, Jackie Chun felt quietly pleased.
Then the referee announced the next match:
"Match Five begins now!
Jackie Chun versus Krillin!"
"Krillin, good luck!"
"Jackie Chun is strong—just go all out!"
Krillin nodded.
"Even if I can't win, I'll at least burn his stamina.
There's no way the three of us can't beat one old man if we take turns.
The championship will belong to the Turtle School!"
Chi-Chi's eyes shone. "Yeah! Go!"
Goku gave Krillin a supportive look.
He knew Jackie Chun was Master Roshi.
Win or lose, the Turtle School had already dominated the tournament.
Both fighters moved without a word.
Krillin knew he was outmatched, so he attacked first—
a straight punch.
Jackie Chun retreated quickly.
Krillin had never expected that probing strike to land.
He changed smoothly into a side kick, a whip-leg sweep, straight punches, hook punches—
a full combo rushing in.
Even Jackie Chun was forced into a brief scramble.
But he didn't underestimate Krillin—he blocked everything.
They separated.
Jackie Chun smiled. "Good. Now I'm going to move."
Krillin tensed up.
In a blink, Jackie Chun struck.
No one even saw the motion.
A red mark appeared on Krillin's face, and he flew backward—
slamming into the back wall and falling hard.
The referee gasped.
"What just happened?!
Krillin went flying in one move!"
