Planet Gaia, 3025. Night in a high-rise metropolitan city named Arktropia.
"Please... don't... you're superheroes... you're supposed to help people, right?"
A woman was pressed against the wall in an alley. In front of her were two men wearing tight outfits that clearly showed their muscular bodies, and masks. One of the men stepped forward and "riip," "aaah," he immediately tore the woman's clothes with a sneer on his face. The woman quickly covered her body and turned sideways, then slid down onto the muddy, dirty ground. The woman glanced at the two men next to her.
"Wh... why?" the woman asked, tears streaming down her face.
"You think being a superhero is a free job?" asked one man, whose costume was covered in lightning bolts, and whose eye mask also symbolized lightning goggles.
"We saved you. Now pay us with your body," said the man who had a red spandex costume with two high-tech-looking iron bracelets on his wrists.
"N... no, please don't, I have a husband," the woman pleaded.
"Hahaha... alright, well then your husband is about to be a widower," the lightning-costumed man sneered, sparking lightning from his fingers and aiming his hand at the woman with a smile on his face.
But suddenly, the man's hand was caught, even though his whole body was crackling with lightning. He turned and was utterly shocked to see a man with long white hair, a pale face, alien-like yellow eyes, and black armor like an alien knight with several worm-like tentacles wriggling on his back.
"Wh... who are you," the lightning-costumed man screamed.
But the white-haired man squeezed the lightning-costumed man's arm with his hand. "Aaah," the lightning-masked man immediately screamed in pain. His lightning shot out and struck the white-haired man, but it had no effect at all.
"Who are you... you bastard," the iron-bracelet man said.
Without delay, he punched the white-haired man in the face and "blaar," his punch exploded when it connected with the white-haired man's face.
"Die," the explosion-punch man said, seeing his punch land squarely.
But when the smoke cleared, the explosion-punch man's face went pale because the white-haired man was perfectly fine. His expression hadn't changed, and then he turned to stare at the explosion-punch man with his yellow eyes. Suddenly, the wriggling tentacles behind the white-haired man immediately extended and bound the two men until they couldn't move, all while the white-haired man continued to squeeze the lightning-masked man's arm. Then the white-haired man opened his mouth, and white smoke came out.
"Thunder Blast and Explosion Fist... you're from the superhero gang that runs this city and has enslaved it. Don't think you can act however you want on this planet. We're always watching you," the white-haired man said in a terrifying voice.
"Who are you?" Thunder Blast asked, clutching his arm in pain.
"Wrath," the white-haired man replied, naming himself.
Thunder Blast's and Explosion Fist's faces immediately went pale because they knew exactly who Wrath was. This was the first time they had seen Wrath's true form, and they realized that when they met one of the Seven Angels of Doom, known as the Watchers of the world, they wouldn't be alive for much longer. Without being able to do anything, "aaaaah," Wrath tore Thunder Blast's arm off, and his tentacles began to squeeze the two men until their bodies were crushed and shrunk from the pressure, then folded up.
"Thud," Wrath released the two men, whose bodies were now small, folded, and covered in blood, only their heads remaining with eyes rolled up inside their masks. Wrath turned to look at the woman next to him. She was already passed out cold. He immediately approached the woman with an expressionless face, then bent down, carried her out of the alley, and placed her on a bench outside a closed shop since it was late. He then turned and walked away with an expressionless face, vanishing just like that.

On a planet ruled by people who have super-powers and claim to be saviors of mankind—superheroes—there existed a legend that even the heroes feared to hear. The legend told of seven beings who watched over the planet and possessed the power to destroy all civilization with just seven people. Their legend started with the history of the planet itself, and 100 years ago, the Angels once descended because of the many superheroes acting arbitrarily in the world.
This planet was named Gaia, a world that had been terraformed so humans could live there after Earth was destroyed by nuclear war and radiation. This planet was originally called Kepler-22b when it was first discovered by scientists on Earth in 2011. Then, in the year 2125, an unmanned spacecraft, fully controlled by an AI and carrying the DNA of all life forms on Earth, including humans, named the USS Frontier, was launched from Earth right as the nuclear war was peaking.
The USS Frontier, traversing outer space, arrived at Kepler-22b after a journey of 10,000 Earth years. Upon arrival, the AI controlling the USS Frontier immediately took organic and non-organic samples from the planet's surface to look for life. The planet was uninhabited by complex life but contained developing amoeba-like organisms across its entire surface.
Using the available samples, the AI began fusing the samples with seven brains brought from Earth and stored in freezing pods. The AI created human-shaped clones with alien organism DNA merged with human DNA, turning them into Extraterrestrial humans.
After this, a new organism was created, named ANGEL, an acronym for Artificial Nano Genetic Extraterrestrial Lifeform. Then, using Angel as the model, the AI began terraforming Kepler-22b so it could be inhabited by humans.
This process took 7,000 years until human DNA and the DNA of other Earth creatures could be sown across the entire surface of the planet. Then, 5,000 years later, the first pair of humans began to emerge, possessing knowledge from Earth's inhabitants. A new civilization began to rise, and humans with this knowledge spread across the planet.
3,000 years later, human civilization on Kepler-22b, which was then named Gaia by the humans, began to reach a level of technology similar to Earth in 2025. But many genetic mistakes mutated in human bodies due to adaptation to the new planet, causing some humans to possess extraordinary super-powers.
Initially, these superhumans maintained peace on Gaia, but over time, they seized control and ruled the humans with an iron fist. This caused the seven Angels to awaken and descend into the world to eradicate them. This is the story of the Angels and the events that led to the Watcher legend, which began 100 years ago.
