"…Are you ready? We have two days to destroy the machines and kill Volkarod.", says Zarya.
Both Mailen and Rain sigh, with Rain adding up: "I didn't think I'd fight their god on my first mission…"
"Me neither. But here we are.", says Mailen, laying on the bed and just staring at the roof.
"We should train for these 2 days. We do not know what we're dealing with.", says Rain, actually being serious.
"Yeah… but only 2 days?? That won't do much progress.", says Zarya with worry.
"We have Sanydra on our side, no? Also, we can just train non-stop for 2 days. It's not like our stamina's bad, both of you have it on a superhuman level.", adds Mailen, mentioning their long runs every morning.
"Speaking of, we haven't done a run today. Let's start our training like that!", says Rain, agreeing on Mailen's idea to train non-stop. "I also kind of want my own weapon."
Mailen stands up, and goes to his room for a minute. He comes back and comes up to Rain. "This is an old weapon I have never used. Maybe it'll fit you."
Mailen gives Rain a gun with sparkles on it. It looks feminine, and seems like a good fit for Rain, just by looks. Rain, now excited to try it, decides to stand up and go outside first to try shooting the gun secretly. Zarya decides to call Kael to get Sanydra into war with Leinata and do a final push.
"Where did you even get this thing?", asks Rain, wondering why somebody like Mailen would have this.
"I love collecting all types of weapons, so I also have different types. This one just looks perfect for you, by personality and by looks.", says Mailen, trying not to make himself appear 'more feminine'.
Rain, now with her weapon, outside, starts hearing voices.
"Prepare. Kephar is in your hands. Sanydra will come and deal the final blow, just deal with keeping Leinata out of machine range."
The voice sounds eerily similar to the one of Luvin's. Rain starts to grab her head and feel pain. "It hurts… What the hell is going on?"
Rain is crashing out outside while suddenly Zarya comes up with Mailen. "We just finished our preparations to train for approximately 46 hours. Are you okay, Rainy?"
"I'm fine. I just got a small headache.", says Rain. "Let's start training."
Kael sent over 12 people that are well-trained in mechanical fights. The crew meets up with them, and they plan out their training session.
"Alright, since this is a 'world-ender' mechanism, we will try to train you as best as we could, non-stop. Are you guys ready?", asks one of the trainers, arms crossed and with full confidence.
"Ready", say the three at once.
"Not going to lie, I feel like I'm in a space war arc, you know what I mean?", asks Rain, looking at Zarya while fidgeting with her fingers in nervousness.
"Yup. Worry not. Sanydra and Pequina are on our side, and will fight with us. Pequina has kept the frontline for a thousand years, they can keep it up for 2 more days."
However, the training won't go as smoothly as planned. The spokesperson has been on them after they successfully got the safe, and has searched every corner of Leinata for them. Surprisingly, he didn't find them until now.
"Death is upon you. Your training is worthless. May Volkarod lead us to victory.", says the spokesperson, his voice corrupted, and his body starting to decay.
The crew witnesses the death of the spokesperson as his body decays, and a machine pops up from the inside. It charges at the crew and the trainers, kills 2 trainers, and hurts Rain badly. Rain runs away, covering her wound and hiding with Mailen and Zarya in the back. The rest of the trainers destroy the machine in no time.
"…Y… You… are…wea… You are weak. These machines are a hundred times stronger than I am…", says the machine after it finally dies from its insides being completely messed up from the fight.
The crew and the trainers decide to drive back to the Sanydran border. There, they evaded the border control officers and entered Sanydra. Meanwhile, Kael sent spies that will look into the machines that the crew and Kephar will fight against. Now that there's no spokesperson, and the government collapsed, the espionage was successful. As the crew went back to train in Sanydra, the spies returned with news.
"The machines are named X-01 and X-02, in Leinatan meaning Death-01 and Death-02. We couldn't figure out their powers. There are 2 large god-level machines and 13 nation-destroyer machines. This will require the entirety of Kephar and possibly nearby planets to intervene in this fight.", says one of the spies.
"Great. Just great. I will call every nation on Kephar, and get this done by tomorrow. Miss Usen, Miss Lunova, and Mister… Mailen, right?", says Kael, looking at Mailen.
"Yes.", says Mailen.
"Go prepare for the fight. This will impact the entire Altair star system, with the life of billions in our hands. We only have 20 hours", says Kael.
"In the name of Beauty. Kephar's another name. Show the cosmos what it's capable of!", shouts out Kael, starting a call with every nation on Kephar (except Leinata)
The people of Leinata have heard the rumors and started to cause a civil uprising. The people of Leinata turned against the late spokesperson's tyranny and decided to end the war to fight the inevitable. The machines were set up to start in 20 hours, in the location of the holy city. Their size – comparable of one skyscraper in the modern city of New York – is fully capable to destroy Sanydra alone in a span of 3 hours. And there's only 2 of those.
"To all nations of Kephar. I request a creation of a temporary Anti-Death Alliance. Leinata has created 15 machines – 2 large and 13 small – to destroy Kephar and nearby planets in the Altair system. They will start in 19 hours. We need 2 frontlines, one in the holy city of Bolmor, and the other at the Sanydran and Pequinan border. Our military will hold back the 13 nation-destroyer machines, and our advanced technology will try holding back the 'Death Machines'. Reply to this call to join us.", says Kael through the presidential speaker that only the leaders of nations on Kephar can see and hear.
The people of Leinata overthrew the rule, and have called Sanydra. They want to join in destroying the machines as well.
Kael's phone rings. Number saved as "Leinata – Presidential contact". He answers and receives the following message.
"Here is the newly voted 346th temporary president of Leinata. We have overthrown the thousand-year rule and wish to end the war as soon as possible to focus on fighting the late regime's destruction machines. The secret service has gone through the way to uncover the secrets. We will discuss this after the fight.", says an unknown voice. In the background a huge number of people can be heard.
Kael also called the UHC's "Department of Defense" to fight against the machines a day prior. UHC was preparing the offensive line and have enclosed the cities of Bolmor and Leinata. The Thread was assigned a fight at Leinata – due to their newly obtained knowledge from the time they were in there.
