Chapter 10 - Trapped

"Xeno when do we get to take a bath or eat something,I'm dying here." I complained

"As you can see, there is no water or food, we're only surrounded by rocks,if you're that desperate, feel free to eat the rocks." Xeno replied

I pouted, "that is so mean."

I sighed,"I miss how the world used to be,I wish all this nightmare will come to an end."

"Yeah you're right, sometimes I wish this was all just a nasty dream and then I'll eventually wake up and find myself back in my home." Kael said

"By the way Yona—" Xeno was speaking to me,I turned to look at him wondering what he was about to say

"We originally embarked on this journey to look for your parents but you haven't mentioned anything about them."

"Ah–yes my parents. My parents were researchers and traveled a lot, they couldn't afford taking me along on all of their travels so they left me in the care of my aunty when I was three. I got word from them that they were coming home to see me and that was when the world fell into chaos but I still have a feeling their alive so I won't stop searching until I find them." I finished with a small smile on my face

"I see." That was all Xeno managed to say

I walked between Xeno and Kael. The pitch black sky that had long forgotten about the existence of the sun was still as eerie as ever, but I still couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had been growing inside me.

Suddenly, the world around me shifted, like a ripple in the fabric of reality. Xeno and Kael were no longer beside me. I was alone, standing in a desolate wasteland, the sky still black .

Then Kael stumbled into view, his eyes wide with terror. "Run!" he shouted, but it was too late. A massive creature, its body a twisted mass of limbs and organs, emerged from the shadows and enveloped him. I watched in horror as Kael was torn apart, his screams echoing through the wasteland.

The world shifted again, and I found myself back, Xeno and Kael beside me once more. Kael smiled at me, and I smiled back, but the terror lingered.

The world shifted again, and I was in a dark alley, the stench of rot and decay filling my nostrils. Xeno was there, his eyes black as coal, his skin gray and decaying. He reached out to me, his hand grasping, and I tried to scream, but my voice was frozen.

Kael appeared, a gun in his hand, something I hadn't seen ever since the world fell into chaos and he fired at Xeno, blowing his head apart. My eyes widened as Xeno's body stumbled backward, blood spraying everywhere.

The world shifted again, and they were back beside me, the air around us was still eerie . My heart was racing, my mind reeling from the visions.

But it didn't stop. The world shifted again, and we were in the village we were once in before we met Kael, people screaming and running. Kael was trampled, his body crushed beneath the feet of the panicked people running. I saw it all, my mind shattering under the weight of the trauma.

The world shifted again, and we were in a dark forest, the trees looming above us like skeletal fingers. Xeno was there, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light but wait,he always had blindfolds on. He reached out to me, his hand grasping, and I felt a searing pain in my chest.

Kael appeared, a knife in his hand, and he stabbed Xeno, again and again, until Xeno's body lay still. My eyes were fixed on Xeno's face, his eyes frozen in a permanent stare.

The world shifted again, and we were back again, the air still eerie . My eyes were empty, my mind shattered by the repeated trauma. I looked at kael and Xeno, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Why?" I asked myself, my eyes begging for an answer.

Kael and Xeno looked at each other, confusion on their faces. "What do you mean, Yona?" Kael asked, but I just shook my head, the world shifting around me once more.

We were in a hospital but that was supposed to be impossible since all of that was destroyed when the world fell into chaos, Xeno's body on a gautey, his skin gray and decaying. Kael was weeping, his eyes red, his face twisted in grief. I felt a sense of detachment, as if I was watching someone else's nightmare.

The world shifted again, and we were in a car but it shouldn't exist, Kael driving, Xeno in the backseat. I was in the front, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. But the car was heading straight for a wall, and I knew we were going to crash.

I screamed, but it was too late. The car hit the wall, metal crunching, glass shattering. My world went black, and I was trapped in the wreckage, Kael and Xeno's bodies motionless beside me.

The world shifted again, and we were back once again, the air was still eerie . My eyes were empty, my mind shattered by the repeated trauma. I looked at Kael and Xeno, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Why?" I asked myself again, my eyes begging for an answer.

But Kael looked at me, his face smiling, his eyes cold and dead. My world went black, and I was trapped in my own personal hell, reliving the trauma over and over again, forever trapped in a cycle of horror and despair.

The world shifted again, and I was in a never-ending loop of death and destruction, Kael and Xeno dying in a thousand different ways, their screams echoing through my mind. I was trapped, forever doomed to relive the trauma, my mind shattered, my soul lost in the abyss of madness.

And still, the world shifted, the cycle repeating, the horror never ending. My mind was a fragile thing, shattered by the repeated trauma, and I was lost, forever trapped in the darkness of my own mind.

The end was never coming, the horror never ending. I was doomed to relive the trauma, forever trapped in a cycle of death and destruction, my mind shattered, my soul lost in the abyss of madness.

My eyes widened, my pupils contracting as the world around me began to distort and warp. Kael and the Xeno's faces blurred, their features stretching and contorting into grotesque masks.

"No, no, no, NO!" I screamed, my voice tearing through the air like a razor-sharp blade. My body began to shake, my muscles convulsing as the trauma and horror welled up inside me like a toxic tide.

My mind was a pressure cooker, the emotions building, building, building until I felt like I was going to explode. The world around me was a twisted nightmare, the ground cracking and splitting, the surrounding rocks looming above me like specters.

My screams grew louder, my voice a raw, grawling thing as I stumbled backward, my hands covering my ears. But the sounds of the world were inside my head, a cacophony of terror and despair that threatened to consume me.

I fell to the ground, my body thrashing wildly as I was consumed by the maelstrom of my own mind. Kael and Xeno reached out to me, their faces twisted with concern, but I was beyond their help.

My eyes rolled back, my body arching as I was wracked by a seizure of pure, unadulterated terror. My mind was a vortex, a maelstrom of emotions and memories that threatened to suck me under.

I was drowning in a sea of pain, the waves of trauma crashing over me, pulling me down into the dark, cold depths. The world around me was a blur, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds that meant nothing, nothing, NOTHING!

My screams grew louder, my voice a raw, ragged thing as I was torn apart by the demons of my own mind. I was lost, lost, LOST in a world of pain and fear, and I couldn't find my way out.

And then, everything went black.

My body lay still,my chest heaving with exertion. Xeno and Kael stood over me, their faces pale, their expression wide with concern.

But I was gone, lost in the depths of my own mind, trapped in a world of trauma and horror from which I was not sure I could escape.
