Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – First Date and Awakening of the Gift Pack

-two days later-

The afternoon sun spilled gold across the quiet streets of Musutafu as Izuku adjusted the strap of his bag, feeling a twinge of nerves he hadn't experienced since childhood. Today was different. Today, he wasn't running from bullies or hiding his quirkless past—today, he was meeting Momo Yaoyorozu alone, to train and…to connect.

The modest home he shared with Inko smelled faintly of jasmine and warm wood polish, a comforting aroma that seemed to settle his racing thoughts. He opened the door just as a soft knock sounded.

"Momo," he said, almost whispering her name, as she stepped inside. Her presence immediately filled the small entryway with an aura of elegance and quiet strength. Her long black hair fell in glossy waves down her back, and her uniform was pristine, though now slightly rumpled from the day's activities. Even in simplicity, she carried herself with a commanding grace, like a strategist assessing the battlefield.

"Hello, Izuku," she said softly, her voice carrying that familiar mixture of warmth and intelligence that made his chest tighten. Her eyes flicked briefly to the small, neatly arranged home, taking in the simplicity. "It's…cozier than I imagined."

"It's modest, but…safe," he replied, motioning her inside. The subtle scent of lavender and clean linen clung to the rooms, blending with the faint aroma of the tea he had brewed. He handed her a small cup, the steam curling in delicate spirals between them.

They sat across from one another at the table, the silence between them comfortable, yet charged with a quiet anticipation. For a moment, Izuku simply watched her, noticing the way her hands wrapped delicately around the cup, the slight curve of her shoulders, the soft tilt of her head as she observed him. The system hummed faintly in his mind.

"Devotion metrics rising. High compatibility detected. Proximity bonuses active."

Izuku's cheeks warmed, and he cleared his throat. "Momo…there's something I need to show you. Something…about me."

She tilted her head curiously. "What is it?"

He led her into the small study room, where a chest of mysterious items awaited. The system's starter pack had been delivered here the moment he awakened. With a deep breath, he opened it, revealing an astonishing array of tools and objects:

A collection of swords, their blades gleaming under the light, each one finely crafted and deadly.

A manual of Haki and Rokushiki training, pages filled with diagrams and notes.

A straw hat, simple yet symbolic.

A wardrobe of clothing, durable and stylish, adapted to his size.

Sanji's cookbook, bound and slightly worn, filled with instructions for meals that could heal, energize, or delight.

Blueprints for Raid Suits, and a vial labeled "Germa Lineage Factor Serum."

Momo's eyes widened, and her breath caught. "All…this…for you?" she whispered, voice trembling with awe. "How…how is this even possible?"

Izuku shrugged modestly, though his eyes gleamed. "It's part of…something the system gave me. Starter gifts, I guess. They help me train, protect people…you." He hesitated, then added softly, "And…it'll help me take care of you too, Momo."

Her gaze softened, and she stepped closer, the faint scent of her perfume enveloping him. "I…believe you," she murmured, almost reverently. Her fingers hovered just above the edge of the swords, hesitant, curious.

"Do you want to try?" he asked, handing her one of the lighter blades. Her eyes sparkled as she accepted it, and the system's internal hum surged—proximity and trust metrics spiked.

She swung it experimentally, graceful but cautious, and Izuku's system highlighted the subtle skill already present in her movements. "You're…incredible," he said, watching her. "And you have a lot of potential. I…want to help you grow."

Momo blushed lightly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I…trust you, Izuku."

The afternoon faded into evening as they trained. She practiced small sword techniques under his guidance, and he demonstrated minor movements enhanced by the Monster Trio powers—a stretch of his arms with elastic precision, a quick dash across the room, a perfectly timed parry. Momo's eyes were wide with fascination, and the system registered her awe as devotion points rising steadily.

Later, they sat on the small balcony, the sky painted in orange and pink hues. Izuku handed her a snack he had prepared using Sanji's cookbook—a simple sweet roll with honey glaze. She accepted it delicately, and he watched as she took a bite, her lips curling in delight.

"You made this?" she asked softly.

"I…tried," he said, smiling. "It's…for you."

Her hand brushed his for the briefest moment as she accepted another piece, and a wave of warmth surged through him. The system hummed again, noting: "First intimacy interaction: kiss and touch potential detected. Devotion metrics increasing exponentially."

Momo leaned closer, her voice almost a whisper. "Izuku…you're different. Strong…kind…strategic. I feel…safe with you."

And in that quiet moment, under the fading light, he leaned in slowly, brushing his lips against hers in a soft, tentative kiss. Her eyes fluttered closed, a shiver running through her as the system silently recorded the first full devotion boost.

When they finally pulled apart, both were breathless, hearts racing, yet a quiet serenity settled over them. Izuku realized, as he watched her, that this bond—slowly forming, nurtured by trust, care, and small gestures—was only the beginning.

The starter gift pack lay quietly in the corner, swords gleaming, manuals waiting, and the system whispered in his mind: "Potential unlocked. First partner bonded. Path to harem and household integration initiated."

Izuku smiled softly to himself. He would protect her, care for her, and one day, all those who would come into their lives. But for now…this moment was theirs alone.
