Zeir took a deep breath and seemed to lose the will to continue. After all, he and Azul had taken care of Calen while Roxanna was away, and every morning after he woke up, he had hoped Calen would wake up too.
But day after day passed, and Calen still didn't open his eyes. He barely even moved in his sleep, making Zeir start to think that he had already lost Calen long ago.
Zeir had only known Calen for a year, and he didn't know all of the dog beastman's past. But still, the idea of losing Calen forever made his chest ache.
During the year they lived in the Vixeria Tribe, Calen often followed him wherever he went, probably because Zeir was the only husband of the "evil" Roxanna who didn't complain about being trailed.
