"Damn it! There are too many of them. Phoenix, Storm, we need an AOE attack."
Scott shouted.
When Bobby heard that, he turned his head towards Scott in shock and said.
"Cyclops, when did you start playing games?"
"Always! Iceman, restrict their movements!"
Scott replied as he released a powerful laser beam towards the upcoming wave of space pods.
These pods were quite good with laser attacks, but Cyclops was better. Just a single attack from him was enough to destroy them.
And unlike them, he didn't need to reload his attack.
"Taste the might of a hurricane, aliens!"
Storm flew several hundred meters in the sky, commanding the air as she generated several large tornadoes in front of her.
These tornadoes could easily tear apart a house, forcefully sucking those space pods into the wind, tearing them apart.
Jean also released her Telekinesis to control a large number of space pods before slamming them into each other.
But when she did that, she felt a strange sensation in her brain.
She couldn't understand where it was coming from until she touched her forehead and said.
[Professor, I am sensing a large number of aliens, but I can't see them.]
In the X-Mansion, Charles received his student's words and entered the Cerebro room.
After a while, he came out with a grave expression as he connected Jean with his telepathy and relayed the information to her brain.
[There is an invisible space on the north side. It is extremely big, holding thousands of these dark elves.]
[I was able to peek into one of their minds before a strong presence sensed my telepathy and shielded his men.]
[With your power, you might not be able to fight this enemy, Jean. You might be forced to use its power.]
Hearing that, Jean's expression changed drastically.
[Professor, I won't be able to control its power.]
[Jean, this man shielded his subordinates from my telepathy while I was using Cerebro. This is a Level Five Threat.]
[I will do my best, Professor. But until the last moment, I will not use its power.]
Jean had recently learned about her Phoenix's powers. This was especially due to Adam blurting out about her power being equal to his Lord.
After that, she became more curious and tried to control this power. But it released so many negative emotions that she almost lost control.
That made sense. After all, most of Phoenix's power had been controlled by her dark persona.
She didn't know why she had a dark persona. No, she knew a few things.
She knew Professor had sealed some of her memories of her childhood. It was done out of fear and the goodness of her heart.
But it still broke her heart. After all, Professor had always taught her to never use their power for personal gain and selfish motives.
The only thing that made her feel good was the Professor's intentions while using his powers on her.
After all, a month ago, they just found a mutant who lost control of his power and ended up destroying a street.
Twelve people died, and forty-eight were injured.
This was common for mutants, but it was so hard for ordinary people to live with these kinds of monsters.
She knew this. She deeply understood this.
If Professor X one day lost control, he could easily brainwash half of the world without even using Cerebro.
Her powers were even stronger than his. If she lost control, she wasn't sure how many would die.
Hundreds? Thousands? Millions? That was probably the highest she could see.
But she couldn't accept herself killing that many people simply because she lost control.
She didn't think this world was some kind of fairytale where her charming prince would help her tame this power and make it her own.
She was cursed with this power, and she had to live with it.
Even if she lost the memories of her past.
"Jean! Jean!"
When she was so deep in her thoughts, Scott's voice rang in her earpieces, startling her.
At this moment, she noticed Bobby freezing several of the Dark Elves in front of her.
"Oh! Sorry, I found something bad."
Jean said as she released her telekinesis and shattered those frozen Dark Elves.
Then, she took a deep breath and started generating a small portion of her Phoenix's power.
This gave her a bright yellow flame.
When this flame appeared, she took a deep breath and flung it towards the empty air.
Most of the X-Men didn't understand why she was doing this.
Until her fire started burning in mid-air. The invisibility of the spaceship was slowly burned away by her flames.
"Hoo!"
She released a deep breath, suppressing the urge to release more of her Phoenix Power.
Just to release a small portion of her power, she had to push her concentration to the absolute limit.
"Wow! I didn't know you could use flames." Bobby's eyes widened when he saw her fire.
But his expression changed drastically when he found the flames burning the invisibility of the spaceship.
"Holy shit! Is that a freaking spaceship?"
His words attracted everyone's attention as they watched the spaceship.
Suddenly, several of the star fighters emerged from this ship, attacking the mutants from all sides, using their laser shots.
"Damn it! How is our situation?"
Fury smashed his fist on the table and asked.
"Sir, the army was destroyed before they could even launch a proper attack. Our attacks couldn't even pierce through their defenses, much less destroy them."
"We launched fifteen advanced helicopters armed with missiles, rockets, and a chain gun firing 600 rounds per minute. It didn't work."
"We used our stealth fighter jet, but they were detected before they could even go closer."
Hill answered. A look of sorrow and disbelief was stuck on her face. She couldn't believe their forces would be so weak against alien invasion.
"That's why I always wanted to create a superpower team, Hill. Our technology is no match for them."
"Even though we have been desperately improving our technology, developing powerful weapons, we still can't overcome that gap so easily."
"I have seen a single powerful being destroying an army of aliens bigger than this."
At this moment, a Shield Agent walked into the office and said.
"Sir, members of the councils are urging you to talk to them."
Hearing this, Fury sighed and walked to another room where the council members were already talking to each other.
When they saw him, one of them spoke.
"Fury, we are launching our best weapon against them. You have seen the size of that spaceship. We need to destroy it."
Fury immediately raised his head and said.
"Councilmen, are you forgetting something? Mutants and our agents are still fighting there. Are you asking us to sacrifice them?"
"But without those weapons, we don't have anything that can be effective against them." Another council member retorted.
"Then, let those mutants handle it. While I was walking here, I just got notified of something. Look!"
At this moment, a new projection appeared in front of them. It was a new direct video from Mystical News.
Steve Roger was running towards the alien invasion, fully recovered.
On the other hand, Iron Man was also flying back to the battlefield, with a masked man on his back.
"Mutants haven't given up. Steve hasn't given up. Neither has Tony nor Spiderman."
"Besides, are you so confident that nuclear weapons will even work against them?"
"Don't forget, we haven't achieved anything with Project PEGASUS."
Hearing Fury's words, one of the council members said.
"Fury, you don't have a voice in this. Those mutants are growing too strong. If we want to control them, this is a necessary sacrifice."
"Wait, don't you fucking dare!"
At this moment, his words seemed quite profane, but he didn't care. He simply cancelled the call and walked out of his room.
"Hill, stop any fighter jet from leaving!"
Not long after, Hill's voice rang in his earpiece.
"Sir, a fighter jet is already heading towards New Mexico."
"Damn those people! Mystical News is still broadcasting this whole event."
Fury cursed out loud.
And, it didn't surprise Mystical News to find the fighter jet releasing one of its missiles towards the Dark Elves' main spaceship.
"This is bad. The World Security Council has decided to launch a nuclear weapon against the alien invasion."
"This is crazy. Mutants are still there. Ghost Rider, Captain, and even Iron Man have returned with Spider-Man. Are they planning on killing our heroes?"
At this moment, Amelia almost burst into tears as she turned towards Naruto and said.
"Mr Naruto, please, you have to save them."
Hearing her tearful voice, Naruto mysteriously smiled and said.
"Are you so sure that thing will work on them?"
Malekith was an opponent that even Odin's father, Bor, found it hard to defeat. He could also wield Reality Stone's power.
If Ronan, who could handle the full force of a Hadron Enforcer that can destroy a moon, how could a nuclear bomb stop Malekith?
