Chapter 135 - Extra Chapter 133: Who is the Frost Giant?

The Frost Giant Great Chieftains were not minor figures. In Jotunheim, they were generals capable of holding their own. Their strength was extraordinary—enough to give even Thor trouble in battle.

Facing dozens of Great Chieftains at once, Thor could easily be ganged up on and killed.

Seeing Rimuru-sama surrounded by these towering warriors, the gods of Asgard, and even the Avengers, were struck with awe.

If not for Rimuru-sama's telepathy, they would have charged in without hesitation, vowing to rescue her at all costs.

"You Midgardian, you wish to play the hero? Then we shall grant your wish!"

"Ice Age!"

As one Great Chieftain spoke, the Frost Giant leaders simultaneously cast a massive Frost spell.

Instantly, snow filled the sky, and a frigid gale swept toward Rimuru-sama.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Asgard, usually blessed with spring-like weather, experienced a sudden drop in temperature. Frost spread rapidly, and in an instant, the ground became a vast, frozen expanse.

Rimuru-sama was completely encased within the solid ice.

"So… so cold!"

Asgardian soldiers closer to the battlefield were instantly frostbitten. Hawkeye barely avoided a serious injury; if not for his sharp eyes and quick reflexes, he might not have had time to use a Recovery Potion.

Even Tony Stark's Iron Man armor began malfunctioning from the cold. The Vanir allies were affected, and the Fire Giants even suffered from friendly fire. Some weaker Fire Giants were "extinguished" by the sudden freeze.

All were struck with awe. Truly worthy of Jotunheim's ace, this combined "Ice Age" spell was magnificent.

Seeing the performance of his Great Chieftains, Laufey smiled. The magic "Ice Age" was a large-scale combination spell he had designed to rival even Odin. It mimicked the Casket of Ancient Winters, instantly transforming the environment to match Jotunheim's icy climate. Frost Giants were strongest in their native land.

What surprised Laufey, however, was Rimuru-sama's arrogance. She didn't even cast a defensive spell. Strong as she was, her overconfidence would be her undoing…

Even Odin, facing such overwhelming freezing magic, would have to constantly defend himself. If Rimuru-sama sought her own demise, Laufey reasoned, he could not be blamed.

But at that moment, Laufey—and all the Great Chieftains—were stunned.

Rimuru-sama, frozen solid, suddenly transformed into a large pool of blue liquid, which flowed to envelop the ice that had imprisoned her.

After a few breaths, the ice shattered completely.

"Confirmation complete. [Frozen Breath] successfully acquired. Can instantly release a massive amount of icy air to freeze targets."

"Impossible!"

The Frost Giant Great Chieftains could not believe their eyes. Rimuru-sama had survived, completely unharmed.

"How did you break out of the ice? And why weren't you frostbitten?"

"Even the gods of Asgard can't withstand our Frost magic—how could a Midgardian endure it?"

"The one frozen just now… must have been an illusion!"

"Yes, yes! It must have been an illusion! Her magic mastery is incredible; I didn't even notice when she cast it!"

"The casting… so fast! Does she not need to chant?"

The Frost Giant Great Chieftains were utterly bewildered. Generals, seasoned leaders of armies, now asking questions like children: "Why weren't you frostbitten?"

But no one observing found it strange. The Frost Giants' frost magic was legendary throughout the Nine Realms, feared by Aesir, Vanir, and even Fire Giants. Yet Rimuru-sama had withstood a combined Ice Age spell from dozens of Great Chieftains without a scratch.

Was it really an illusion?

Seeing the confused crowd, Rimuru-sama adopted an even more bewildered expression.

"What is frostbite?"

The Frost Giants froze.

Rimuru-sama continued, tilting her head:

"Does casting a spell require chanting?"

Even the Vanir and Asgardian spellcasters could not respond.

Tony Stark smirked. "As expected from my lifelong rival… despicable!"

Natasha chuckled. Rimuru-sama's mouth alone could drive people to madness without lifting a finger. Even Captain was speechless; harming the Frost Giants like this was too cruel.

"Ice Blade!"

The Great Chieftains, their fury boiling over, acted in unison. Ice spikes shot from the ground, impaling Rimuru-sama like a hedgehog.

"Rimuru-sama!""Rimuru!""My Lord Valkyrie!"

Everyone gasped in awe and sorrow.

But in the next instant, Rimuru-sama transformed once again into blue liquid. The ice spikes vanished within breaths, leaving her perfectly unharmed.

"Confirmation complete. [Ice Spike] successfully acquired. Additional skill [Ice Blade] added."

Rimuru-sama's smile widened. "Is that all?"

The Frost Giant Great Chieftains were terrified. "You are definitely not a Midgardian. What kind of monster are you?"

It wasn't just the Frost Giants—everyone present thought the same. Unaffected by ice, unharmed by spikes, even discharging electricity and casting spells without chanting—she was clearly no ordinary Midgardian.

Rimuru-sama looked at them seriously. "I really am a Midgardian… oh, I'm so weak!"

Everyone: ""

"Do you have any other moves? Come on, I can still take it!"

"Ice Ball!""Ice Meteor!""Ice Barb Spear!"

"Confirmation complete. [Frozen Breath], [Ice Spike], and [Ice Barb Spear] are all present. [Ice Manipulation] successfully acquired!"

The Frost Giant Great Chieftains had run out of moves. Terror was written across their faces.

Rimuru-sama tilted her head. "Is that all your methods? Your use of ice truly lacks imagination!"

"Let me teach you how to use Ice magic!"

Rimuru-sama slammed her hands on the ground. A magic circle appeared, and the earth seemed to awaken.

"Ice Geyser!"

Boom!

An iceberg rose from the ground, instantly reshaping the topography of Asgard. The Frost Giant Great Chieftains surrounding her were scattered, their formation shattered. Teaming up against Rimuru-sama? Impossible.

"Ice-Make: Lancer!"

Ice lances shot up, impaling four or five Great Chieftains like hedgehogs.

"Ice Spirit Arrow Rain!"

The battlefield above shimmered with countless Ice Barb Spears.

Everyone was dumbfounded. Laufey, startled, stood from his throne.

You call that an "arrow"? Each one as thick as a baby's arm, in unimaginable numbers.

Seriously… who was the Frost Giant here?
