The sunset receded, and the night was boundless. Long Chongyang had no airs of a Champion, and Kaito conversed very happily with him.
In the kitchen, Kaito, Gardevoir, and Machamp were busy. Liu Xuan was also helping out. After a while, dishes enhanced by Gourmet Power were brought out: fish stew, braised rice, and fruit desserts.
The Champion's Pokémon
Liu Xuan and Long Chongyang released their Pokémon. Liu Xuan released two: Pidgeot and a blue Alolan Ninetales (Ice Ninetales).

Long Chongyang released one Pokémon: an orange-yellow Dragonite with a middle-aged potbelly.
Dragonite's profile: Name: Dragonite, Name: None, Ability: Inner Focus, Type: Dragon-type, Flying-type, Level: Lv. 86 (Champion-tier), Individual Values: All 31, Skills: Roost, Twister, Outrage, Dragon Dance, Dragon Rush..., Egg Moves: Extreme Speed, Potential: Champion-tier.
"Tsk tsk tsk. An Ice Ninetales and a Dragonite, truly enviable," Kaito exclaimed.
Liu Xuan smiled, explaining she encountered Alolan Vulpix on icy mountains. The Lapras in the lake returned to the yard, and Liu Xuan's eyes lit up: "It's a Lapras! It's so beautiful; I really must raise one."
Dinner and Psychological Trauma
Long Chongyang and Liu Xuan looked at the plates of delicacies, their appetites roused. Kaito's food was almost on par with Long Chongyang's usual top-tier Breeder's meals, causing Long Chongyang's Dragon Taming Power to fluctuate.
During dinner, Liu Xuan spoke of her love for Ice-type Pokémon. Kaito said knowingly, "Eevee has so many evolution forms; perhaps there really will be an Ice-type." Liu Xuan became lost in imagining what a Glaceon would look like.
Long Chongyang praised Kaito's Salamence and his breeding skill.
"Hoppip hoppip?" Bunnelby looked at the tall Dragonite next to it, feeling it was easy to get along with.
"Roar?" Dragonite put down its bowl and smiled, wanting to invite Bunnelby to fly around once.
"Hobi? Hobi?!!!" Bunnelby shrieked and quickly ran away. It had misjudged! This seemingly honest Pokémon was actually full of evil inside, wanting to make it fly into the sky! Bunnelby had developed a psychological trauma after riding Salamence.
The Gym Leader Idea
The construction of the Research Institute paused for the night.
"Your land here is quite large." Kaito shook his head. "I plan to use the other side of the farmland to build a Gym."
Liu Xuan and Long Chongyang were both startled. "A Gym? Are you planning to become a Gym Leader?"
Long Chongyang became excited, stating that a Dragon-type Gym would be best, offering to give Kaito a few Dragon-type Pokémon if he agreed.
Kaito slowly said, "I can only say it's related to Dragon-type." (Fairy-type).
Liu Xuan's eyes lit up. "Related to Dragon-type? Is it Ice-type?"
Kaito shook his head. Long Chongyang breathed a sigh of relief.
A Lucky Birth
The next morning, Kaito woke up. Suddenly, he noticed Latias on his other side. "Latias?"
"Kaito, good morning~" Latias stretched and greeted him.
When did you come in? Kaito's mouth twitched, but he opened the incubation device.
Crack, crack, crack... The Togepi egg was about to hatch.
Togepi opened its eyes, looked at Kaito, and then showed an innocent smile. "Chakoi~"
Togepi's profile: Name: Togepi, Given Name: None, Ability: Serene Grace, Type: Fairy-type, Level: Lv. 5 (Infant-tier), Individual Values: HP (31), Attack (21), Defense (31), Special Attack (31), Special Defense (31), Speed (31), Skills: Pound, Growl, Egg Moves: Extrasensory, Potential: Elite Four-tier.
Kaito's face lit up with joy. He had been told this egg was from an Elite Four-tier Pokémon. An Elite Four-tier potential Togepi!
After feeding, Togepi's level also reached ten.
The system notified: Task Completed: Obtain a Togepi. Task Reward: Title (Junior Lucky). Junior Lucky: When worn, personal luck will slightly increase, making it easier to encounter good events.
Kaito has gained a Champion-tier partner, a Gym Leader potential Togepi, and the powerful Junior Lucky title! Now that he's revealed his plan for a Gym, how will the Grand Champion react to the Fairy-type secret?
