Millennium Divine Tree? Kaito vaguely remembered a legend about Xerneas—it could sleep for 1,000 years in the form of a tree and then revive. Because Gardevoir's promotion to Elite-tier released a strong Fairy-type aura, Xerneas noticed him?
The light on the parchment still hadn't dissipated, and a path of light suddenly appeared on the map, guiding him.
Kaito released Salamence and soared into the sky. Riding Salamence, he arrived at the destination in the central region shortly. However, he didn't find anything unusual there; it was just a lush forest. Millennium Divine Tree... Could Xerneas currently be in the form of a tree?
The New Starter
Kaito released his Pokémon and searched the forest. All the trees looked similar, and they received no response.
"Hoppip hoppip." Bunnelby shrugging its shoulders. It had found nothing unusual but had made a partner.
"Kame Kame!" Wartortle greeted Kaito, looking rather goofy. Bunnelby went out and brought back a starter Pokémon.
Wartortle's profile: Name: Wartortle, Nickname: None, Ability: Torrent, Type: Water-type, Level: Lv. 34 (Excellent-tier), Potential: Gym Leader-tier.
Wartortle is considered a symbol of longevity.
"Wartortle, do you know of any special trees around here?"
"Kame?" Wartortle scratched its head, unable to recall any special trees, but mentioned a cave nearby.
"Alright, we're going to that cave!" Kaito recalled Wartortle.
The Salandit Ambush
Upon entering the cave, the pitch-black darkness was chilling. Kaito only allowed Gardevoir to follow beside him, using the move Flash to illuminate the path.
The passage led downwards, growing wider. Kaito released Bunnelby and the others.
Suddenly, a Growl came from deep within: "Gula~" A Salandit appeared.
As expected, the Salandit multiplied, densely covering the ground, walls, and ceiling. They released a poisonous gas with a Sweet Scent to make their prey dizzy.
"Hobi~" Bunnelby sniffed lightly, finding the scent quite ordinary—it was used to better gourmet food.
"Bunnelby, hold your breath; this is poison gas."
Kaito easily dispersed the poisonous gas with his Power of Purification (or a similar Water/Psychic ability). The Salandit group moved to clear a path for their queen: Salazzle.
Salazzle's profile: Name: Salazzle, Name: None, Ability: Corrosion, Type: Poison/Fire, Level: Lv. 58 (Gym Leader-tier), Potential: Gym Leader-tier.
"Gula~" Salazzle looked at Kaito with a strange glint in her eyes. "You mean, you want me to stay and accompany you? And stay by your side forever?"
Kaito's face darkened. He knew he was somewhat of a Pokémon succubus, but being so directly asked by a Salazzle to stay still felt very strange.
"What if I say no?"
"Gula!" Salazzle shrieked, and a large swarm of Salandit rushed forward, attacking Kaito's side.
Kaito stopped Garchomp, stepped forward, and spread his hands. A domineering purplish-blue light surged forth. Draco Meteor! He transformed the Dragon Breath into multiple projectiles.
Boom!! Kaito's power seemed inexhaustible. He alone was enough to wipe them all out!
After dealing with the Salandit, the path ahead was much smoother.
The Gem Princess
The Kaito's Draco Meteor attack sequence provided a massive XP surge: Kaito's level had surged!
The system notified: Bunnelby defeated Salandit! And got the Secret Treasure Poison Barb!
Kaito ignored Bunnelby's surprised face and continued forward. The cave abruptly transformed from its original dirt and rock texture into a sparkling, diamond-like mineral.
Just as he was trying to figure it out, a Pokémon appeared before his eyes. The Pokémon's overall outline was conical, with diamond-containing stones at its base. It was Carbink!
If there were Carbink here, would that one be here?
The system notified: Fame value takes effect! Triggered a mysterious event: The Gem Princess.
Kaito's Draco Meteor display has made him an Elite-tier fighter, but the appearance of the Gem Princess (likely Diancie) is the true prize! How will he navigate the encounter with the Mythical Pokémon?
