Yanggg @Yang_Loe203

What does this mean? 😮

Isn't it too fast to handle everything within three hours of the incident? I wonder how they work so quickly 🙄

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tyasss @TyasKar_0

Woah!! They finally released their official statement 😭😭😭

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NeroN @NeronIzaccc

Who was so busy spreading unnecessary news earlier? 🤨

I said it very clearly, didn't I? 🙄

They are highly reliable when it comes to things like this.

So stop thinking that even though they are a new group and will debut (though we don't know exactly when), ASpire Entertainment is an agency that is truly serious about all its artists.

You better shut up, don't bother posting strange and nonsensical news everywhere, or even false accusations.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Davezz @DavezaOpeRa_

What's strange is...

Why didn't they mention what, why, and how about the victim? 🙄

If they can release an official statement this quickly, it must mean the victim is the CEO's child, right?

And because the victim is the CEO's child, they handled it fast because a commotion is better handled inside the agency than outside—for the fans, right?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MoonCastelar @CasTelarMOOn_

They won't be broadcasting tonight?! 😭😭

Seriously?! 😭😭

I already bought so many snacks that I was going to eat while watching my idols 😭😭😭😭

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vancaooo @VancaBonareZ_009

Honestly, I'm worried about their condition right now 😫

Are they okay? No one is suffering from trauma or anything worse than that, right? 😣😣😣

And can you stop talking about the victim? If she really is the CEO's child, is there anything wrong with that? 🤨 No, right?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lalilaaa @LalilaFloweerrr

FINALLY!! 😭😭

But... but... when exactly will they announce the broadcast schedule? 😕 They won't make us wait for a whole month, right? If so, I really will quit being their fan 😑

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Georgiiineee @Georgine_099

I just got home from work and have to get a notification like this?! 😭

You know what? I'm genuinely shocked 😭😭

I thought ASpire Entertainment was facing a crisis because of all the rumors circulating, but it seems everyone working there has super intelligent and fast brains, huh? 😭😭

I feel relieved because my tiredness suddenly disappeared reading this official statement, even though I'm a little disappointed because I don't know what to do in my room since they won't be broadcasting 😭😭

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loliaappp @Lolia_parzzz

ENOUGH!!

STOP IT, ALL OF YOU!!

DO YOU THINK BEING A VICTIM IS FUN WHEN IT HAS TO DEAL WITH PUBLIC EXPECTATIONS?!

STOP ACTING AS IF YOU KNOW EVERYTHING AND THAT EVERYTHING MUST GO ACCORDING TO YOUR WISHES!!

KEEP SUPPORTING ASPIRE ENTERTAINMENT, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coaaarrr @Commaryyy

But still, I'm curious 😑😑

Isn't there anyone who has more information about the victim? Or do the school and its students not want to get involved in this issue?

Those of you who go to school with the victim, don't you want to say something? 😒

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tjjjjj @TJ_Ultraooo

My friend said that even though the victim is a student at Vanderless High School, they don't know her, or maybe she's the anti-social type? I don't know 😕

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vanessiaaa @Vanesza_Ozaimazz

I truly don't care about the incident this afternoon anymore 😭😭

Regardless of who the victim is, whether she has ties to the agency or not, I don't care 😭😭

If the Agency has issued a statement like that, it means all the issues are indeed settled and we should stop cornering them 😫

What should be our concern is when their broadcast schedule will be held? Is there a possibility of tomorrow?

Everyone is going crazy tonight because their idols won't be broadcasting 😭😭

*********************************************************************************************************

Chase's phone screen, which was previously filled with rows of comments—letters scurrying on the X application—suddenly flickered and changed form.

The blue light that was previously flat transformed into an incoming call frame, and there, one name appeared so clearly that it seemed the writing itself reflected his heartbeat.

Chase's blank expression, which seemed empty and lifeless just moments ago, slowly shifted.

His eyes, which previously seemed veiled by indifference, began to warm, emitting a soft light he had never shown to anyone.

The corner of his lips lifted, forming a natural smirk—not forced, not controlled by reason—as if his body remembered how to smile faster than his mind itself.

Chase slid the green icon to the right.

As soon as the phone was against his ear, a soft voice crept in:

"Are you… waiting for me right now, bringing good news for you, Chase?"

Chase chuckled—a small laugh that expanded from his throat, a laugh that sounded like someone whose most ticklish part of the mind had just been touched.

"I'm just anxious if you forget it or even fail to do it, even though it's just a trivial matter."

He stood up, stepping onto the cold studio floor.

The white light above his head bounced throughout the room, hitting the large mirror in front of him, creating a reflection of himself that looked slightly more weary but, strangely, also slightly more alive.

With short steps, he approached the mirror.

When his back finally met the cold glass surface, he took a long breath while letting his body slump into a lazy position as he straightened both his legs.

"So?"

"What good news can I get, Cire Noona?"

The person he called Cire Noona on the other end of the phone simply sighed slowly—a breath that sounded more like someone trying to calm their mind before speaking.

Immediately after that, a faint sound was heard from the other end of the line—the soft sound of a door hinge being moved slowly.

Chase could imagine Cire holding her phone with one hand while closing her room door with the other.

Then, something even softer was heard—the sound of a chair being slid, a sound that only occurred when someone took a comfortable seating position in a workspace that was too familiar to her.

"Initially, I was surprised and completely disbelieving that a famous idol like you would ask someone like me to do something that even made me think it was dangerous."

Chase let out a amused laugh again.

"Dangerous?"

He repeated the word, hesitantly, as if his own ears couldn't believe what he had just heard.

"Why would you say what I did was dangerous? You mean… like getting caught in a sea full of rumors and speculation?"

One of his hands reached out to the side, taking the plastic cup on the table and filling it with water from the dispenser tap he pressed.

"Didn't I do everything the right way, precisely, and without anyone even noticing?"

He drank the water in the small cup until it was empty. When the cup was empty, he placed it beside his body.

"You even arrived just in time, when I was truly confused about how to sneak in without them knowing who I am."

Cire on the other end of the phone sighed slowly again—a sigh that sounded different this time.

It wasn't just weariness, nor just self-composure, but a sigh mixed with resignation… like someone who had run out of ways to deal with the behavior of the person driving her crazy, yet still couldn't truly get angry.

"Do you want to know what her reaction was earlier when I handed her that gift from you?"

Chase immediately straightened his body.

"Let me guess, Noona."

He paused for a moment, taking a breath, then continued:

"She must have been surprised… and thought that it was impossible for any school friend to suddenly give her a gift like that, right?"

"Even if she has a fiancé, I'm still faster than her fiancé, right?"

His tone was so relaxed—too relaxed, to the point that it sounded as if he genuinely didn't care about anything that came out of his mouth.

For several seconds, there was no answer from the other end.

Chase heard another sound—the rapid typing of a computer keyboard.

The rhythm was hurried, precise, like someone completing something that could not be postponed even while in a conversation.

"More precisely, when she saw what I was carrying, she hesitated for a moment before finally accepting it."

"Do you want to know what the reaction of the members… and even the doctor close to her, was at that moment?"

Chase immediately raised an eyebrow.

"So they were there when you gave it to her?"

"And also… who is the doctor close to her? Is he her boyfriend… or her fiancé?"

A long sigh from Cire swept over his ears again—a sigh of someone struggling to hold something back from exploding.

"You promised me that I would only tell you Miss Margaret's reaction, and as for that question of yours… that is outside what we agreed upon."

"So don't ask strange things… or you can find out yourself."

Chase chuckled again.

He lowered his head briefly, then took a long sigh, before finally combing his slick, tangled black hair back repeatedly.

"Working at an agency like ASpire Entertainment seems to influence the way you accept collaboration with others, huh?"

"No wonder all the staff there are so strict and merciless towards things that arouse suspicion."

Chase shrugged at his own reflection in the mirror, an indifferent gesture that only he could see.

"What else do you want to know? Nothing, right?"

"If there's nothing else, let's just end everything and pretend we never did anything like this."

Again and again, Chase chuckled for the umpteenth time.

"Shouldn't that be my question, Cire Noona?"

"Aren't you curious why I did that 'dangerous' thing… like terrorizing a high-ranking agency official's daughter by suddenly sending an anonymous gift?"

There was no answer for five minutes from the other end of the phone.

In his mind, Chase imagined what might be happening on the other side.

Cire… must be thinking hard. Between the desire to know—to remain connected, to answer every word he spoke—and the urge to immediately end the call, to withdraw before unwanted words were uttered.

And in the next minute, Cire's voice finally returned:

"I don't know why you are so easily consumed by the rumor that the victim of the incident is the sole daughter of our agency's CEO, even though it is true."

"I also had no expectation that that person would turn out to be you… a leader of a famous group at Adamas Entertainment Agency, who almost committed a reckless act, had I not noticed you as you were about to walk towards the agency building entrance."

She paused briefly, taking a breath, before continuing:

"But… if I'm not overstepping by asking this, do you have a specific relationship with Miss Margaret?"

In that very second, Chase's unrestrained laughter resounded in the practice room.

A truly unrestrained laugh, not just a faint smile or suppressed chuckle, but a contagious laugh, a laugh that sounded like his body itself was expressing relief after days of desperately memorizing every tiring choreography move.

His laughter made several CHASEMINE members turn towards him confusedly.

Chase, realizing this, immediately lowered the volume of his laughter, though there was still residual laughter escaping his lips.

"Just because I gave her a gift, and because I was consumed by a rumor that turned out to be true… you've drawn a conclusion that is far more fatal than any major scandal, Cire Noona?"

"I know more about Miss Margaret than you do, and even all the agency staff know the same. It's only natural for me to suddenly feel strange… because you are acting as if you know her."

The tone of that voice was intentionally suppressed, sounding as if everything was fine, though the annoyance clearly slipped between the words that came out, making Chase chuckle again.

"Who knows… if I'm not careful when speaking, my name could appear on a rumor news site tomorrow morning, right?"

Chase heard another sigh from the other end of the phone, a sigh that was truly tired of simply indulging something that made Cire feel she had to end it immediately.

"We're even, Chase."

"I hope you don't make Miss Margaret feel uncomfortable after this."

"And if your name eventually appears on a rumor news site, I hope you don't drag Miss Margaret's name into it too, because if that happens… it would be like starting a war with another agency."

And the call was disconnected.
