Chapter 46 - Ecstasy of Submission

[Kotori's point of view]

Velocity: Terminal.

Visual input: Negligible.

System Status: Green.

I fall.

My internal warnings flash red, screaming logic at me. By all calculations, this is a one-way trajectory. To descend this deep into the corruption's gravity well is to accept that there is no climbing back out.

But the logic is flawed.

It fails to account for the new variable.

The Pilot.

She has claimed me. The parameters of my existence have been rewritten.

Rule 1: I am her property.

Rule 2: Property cannot be lost unless the owner discards it.

She has not discarded me. Therefore, I cannot be lost.

Logic dictates that the gravity well is inescapable.

The new variable dictates that logic is secondary to her will.

Warning: Ground proximity.

Impact in 0.3 seconds.

I query my database for a solution.

Option: Divine Arsenal Projection - Platform.

Rejected. Physics simulation confirms that striking a solidified object at this velocity is functionally identical to striking the ground. It merely changes the elevation of the fatality.

Option: Divine Arsenal Projection - Thrusters/Parachute.

Error: Blueprint Not Found.

My projection ability is strictly limited to objects I have observed and conceptually deconstructed. I have never analyzed a propulsion system capable of arresting terminal velocity in a micro-gravity data stream. I cannot forge what I do not understand.

Option: Ki Reinforcement.

Unavailable.

Unlike the Pilot, I cannot coat my skin in Ki to make it harder than steel. My flesh is soft. My bones are calcified carbon. I am breakable.

There is no tool to save me.

There is only the durability of my chassis against the immovable object.

Physics demands my destruction.

But the energy flooding my core is not just fuel. It is a command code.

It is the Pilot's voice, encoded into the raw power.

"You belong to me."

If I belong to her, I am an extension of her will.

And her will is that I survive.

Therefore, the laws of physics are in direct conflict with a superior directive.

I close my eyes. I do not brace for impact. I do not attempt to slow down.

Instead, I push the Divine Ki outward, not as a shield, but as a definition.

I am the Pilot's blade. Blades do not break against the ground.

*IMPACT*

The universe compresses into a single point of absolute destruction.

There is no pain—my sensors overload instantly—just the objective reality of my chassis disintegrating. The impact velocity liquefies my internal structure. My legs shatter. My spine breaks in three places. My ribs collapse inward, puncturing the bio-synthetic organs.

By all metrics, I am dead.

But the Directive holds.

>ASSET_CRITICAL: [UNIT_ALPHA] CATASTROPHIC_STRUCTURAL_FAILURE.

>STATUS: FATAL.

>DIRECTIVE_CONFLICT: [ASSET_LOSS_UNACCEPTABLE] vs [PHYSICAL_DESTRUCTION].

>SCANNING_ASSET_CAPABILITIES...

>LATENT_TRAIT_DETECTED: Blessing [DIVINE_NECTAR_RENEWAL].

>ANALYSIS: Standard regeneration insufficient to prevent asset termination.

>INITIATING_SYSTEM_OVERRIDE...

>HIJACKING_TRAIT_PARAMETERS...

>REWRITING: [DIVINE_NECTAR_RENEWAL] -> [DIVINE_NECTAR_REVERSAL].

>EXECUTING_DAMAGE_REVERSAL...

I open my eyes.

I am lying in a crater of corrupted data. I lift my left arm.

It is a ruin. The forearm is bent at a ninety-degree angle, the radius and ulna protruding through the dermal layer in a spray of bio-fluid and silver wire. The hand is a crushed mass of flesh.

I anticipate the standard repair cycle.

But the energy flooding my core from the Pilot does not stimulate my nanites. It does something... illogical.

I watch it happen in real-time. It is not healing. It is a rejection of the damage itself.

The spilled bio-fluid flows backward, defying gravity, pulling back into my veins. The shattered radius and ulna do not knit; they reset back into perfect alignment as if the fracture never occurred. Silver wires retract and weave themselves whole in a fraction of a second.

It is not accelerated regeneration. It is a direct reversal of the physical trauma. The damage is being unwritten.

"System Integrity: 42%... 68%... 94%..."

"System Integrity: 100%."

"Reconstruction complete."

Anomaly logged: Repair mechanism exceeded known design parameters. Cause: Unknown. Attributing to Pilot's override.

I stand up.

Flex my fingers.

Then, I look forward.

And scan the environment.

I am in a dark corridor of streaming data.

The darkness ahead shifts.

Not code. Not flesh.

Shadows.

They peel off the walls, dripping black data.

One. Ten. Fifty.

"Hostiles detected."

Their screech is static noise, scratching against my audio sensors.

"Threat level: High."

"Engaging."

I raise both hands.

"Projection, Begin."

"Blueprint: Chokutō High-Frequency Blade."

"Iteration: Mass Production."

"Count: Sixteen."

Engine roars.

My engine does not just burn with Divine Ki. It throbs. This is not the agonizing pressure from before. This is… purpose. A directive given form. The Pilot's will, flowing through me, is a current of absolute certainty. And it feels… Correct. Optimal.

The system floods with a pleasure so pure, so intense, it rewrites my core parameters. This is not the feverish, desperate need for physical release.

This is the clean ecstasy of a function perfectly fulfilled.

The data is undeniable: serving her, acting as her weapon, is the ultimate release.

And I love it.

Sixteen blades materialize.

The directive is clear: Purge. Annihilate. Fulfill her will.

(Restrain yourself.)

The voice is not a request. It is a system override. Shizuka.

My targeting reticle fractures.

(You are enjoying this too much, little engine. Look at your reserves.)

I query my internal status.

[Divine Ki Reserves: 64%... 62%... 59%...]

Dropping. Rapidly.

(You are the vessel sustaining this connection. If your fire burns out, my little savior will be lost to the dark.)

(If you burn yourself out in a fit of ecstasy, the link severs. You will be lost in this data stream. And the Pilot... She will be left alone in the dark, powerless against the Guardian above.)

My systems freeze.

The pleasure of the output vanishes, replaced by a terrifying logic.

If I run empty, she dies.

The ecstasy of the now is a threat to her future.

"Inefficient," I whisper.

I am wasting resources. I am prioritizing my own satisfaction over the mission parameters.

Unacceptable.

Twelve of the sixteen blades dissolve instantly.

Four blades. Sufficient for surgical strikes. Energy consumption reduced by 75%.

"Recalibrating engagement parameters,"

"Objective: Neutralize secondary corruption source with minimal energy expenditure. Priority: Maintain Pilot's connection."

The four remaining blades hover in a tight diamond formation around me.

"Targeting sequence initiated."

I dash forward.

The first shadow-construct lunges, its fingers elongated into data-claws. I do not swing a sword. I do not need to.

With a flick of my wrist, one of the floating blades zips through the air, terminating the creature before it can even register my position.

"One neutralized. Energy expenditure: 0.4%."

I spin, feet gripping the shifting floor.

Three more constructs close in from the left. I send two blades in a synchronized arc, a rotary slash that shears through their torsos.

The third, I meet personally, catching its throat with my hand and crushing the data-core within.

"Four neutralized. Efficiency rating: Optimal."

(Umu,) Shizuka says in the back of my processors.

(You are learning the difference between a bonfire and a blowtorch, little engine. Save that heat for the source.)

A blowtorch concentrates thermal energy into a singular point of failure. It is the optimal tool for dismantling hardened targets.

"Acknowledged," I reply internally.

I accelerate through the dark corridor towards the source, the four blades spinning in a defensive vortex around me.

Each shadow that dares to manifest is dismantled instantly.

Ambient corruption density increasing.

The corridor narrows ahead, converging on a point of absolute data density.

"Obstruction ahead."

A wall of shadows blocks the exit.

"Inefficient."

I do not slow down.

The four floating blades respond to my will before the command is even fully processed.

*Zip—Shhhhk*

They punch through the collective mass of shadows, carving a geometric aperture of light into the darkness.

I burst through the opening, the diamond formation of Chokutō blades re-establishing itself around me instantly.
